Run a manual fan switch bud.. my runs 180 riding in the front yard all day long.. when your bike reaches 175 hit the switch your bike should run 180 to 190 no higher with fan switch. Mine also is a 2005. Really sharp bike. I've been debating on what color I should go with mine.
I thought about it, but I wanted to see what this stuff would do first.. bikes almost 20 years old anyway so I figured it could use it. I might tear back into it over the fall/winter and do a fan, but I have a bunch of new stuff coming in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned! And thanks man! I’ve been putting a lot into it since I got it.. can’t go wrong with Kaw green!!
@Bella Star Also with Manual Switch. You can turn it on when you want. But the way mine is wired it also comes on Automatically when it’s supposed too as well. So it’s a must have
Change the Master Cylinder for an R1 MC (Brembo from Factory) or ZX6R MC, ZX14R Calipers, and you can add Gen. 3 '08 - '10 ZX10R Rotors if you want (They are lighter and bigger) Engine Ice or Water Wetter w/ Distilled Water works the same. 530 Chain setup is overkill honestly, Stock is 525 (bike doesn't make the Torque or has the weight to warrant a 530) 520 is lighter and just as strong as 525, just make sure to run metal sprockets (last longer than aluminum) and adjust/clean your chain regularly. Super Sprockets sells light weight Metal Sprockets that are as equally or even lighter than leading brand Aluminum units.
That's the reserve tank. I have a Suzuki but when you do a coolant change, add the recommended amount of coolant to the radiator and run the engine several times, making sure all the air has bled out of the system. There may be a bleed screw on a casing somewhere, and you can also swing the bike from side to side, making sure you do this with the radiator cap fitted ! When the engine is totally cold again, check that the level in the reserve tank is between the lower and upper level. Add enough coolant to the reserve tank {Engine Ice, in your case} to bring the level up to that point. If you accidentally put in a little too much, you can draw some off with a syringe. Reserve tanks on most bikes are pretty small. Just keep an eye on the level there from time to time. Best regards from Wales, UK.
I’ve been sainting to lower mine back down an inch or 2 but I’m not sure how much I should lower the front. The links that came on the bike say the adjustment range is stock height then 2in then 4inch. If I lowered the rear back down to 2in would I have to lower the front 2in as well?. I’ve heard and seen a lot of people say 5/8ths of an inch in the front so. I’ll wait till I have legit info before I lower it.
Personally I think if you’re gonna lower the rear 2, then definitely lower the front at least two. Mine is lowered as far as it can go in the front without straps. It looks a little different now because I’ve changed out a few things but it’s still lowered two in the rear
I run engine ice in my first gen, it definitely helps out since I don’t have room for a cooling fan with the turbo setup on it.
I also have a gen 1 where’s the drain plug for the coolant?
@@christiansoto5114 there are two. One on the front of the cylinder head and the other on the water pump.

How you know its full on coolant besides looking at the radiator

I have an 04 in the shop for the same issue. Wish I knew this sooner lol
Nice idol. hope to have that kind of bike. My dream bike zx10r.
Question, are you running it with straight engine ice, or are you diluting it with water?
¿What swingarm is that? I have a 2005 Ninja ZX10R
Hello, how is your frame holds so far,did you had any cracks on it?
No cracks or anything. Held up well for two years.. just sold that bike two months ago and bought a Harley street glide 😊
Hi can you answer a question please, the left side has a rectangular plastic cann, i have to put the engine ice in the radiator and the plastic cann?

Damn... what happened to the frame!? Check for cracks.
Guy that owned it before me went down on it and the handlebar hit the frame there, but no cracks or anything

Hey man, i own a 2004 as well, could you tell me what was the seller on ebay for those fairings?
Nt-fairing-us
They fit great, I do recommend a fairing bolt kit though
@@Mr.Twowheels thanks man
Mine doesn't run hot. I never had that problem. I have a 2004.
Depends on "Hot". My 04 ran 160 normally but ~15°F less with engine ice cruising at 70. Dropped temps in slow traffic by 10°F
They need a thermostat.
