This is the winning form factor for AI integrated devices IMO.
Laser contacts that scan on to the retina
We agree 🤓
Not for people who don't wear glasses.
@@MobikSaysStuff You can wear glasses without needing a prescription. Like sunglasses.
This project has a lot of potential. I hope it gets the proper funding and reaches its full potential!
🤓
You should consider supporting half step (.75 for example) prescription lenses
I second that!
Definitely, we surely need it!
You request, we listen! We added half steps and a larger range.
@@brilliantlabsARcan I have a pair lol
@@brilliantlabsAR one more request: make is rectangular
Few people in the comments understand what goes into creating such an innovative product. The video way not portray the hardware specs or ideal aesthetic for many, but is a great glimpse for what Brilliant Labs is creating.
These would be awesome if they came in a rectangular frame. The round frame just doesn't fit some face shapes. Are there any plans to offer these with a rectangular frame? With a rectangular frame I'd buy these in a heart beat.
They look pretty plastic too, I hope they make it more modern-looking.
@@Kenndy16 I hope so because I REALLY want a pair of these, but the idea is for them to be unobtrusive and natural looking, and wearing frames that clearly were not made for your face shape defeats that purpose.
Yup. Most face shapes, in fact. Honestly, round glasses don't look good on most people. Didn't look good on Lennon either...
"Those shoes are available ONLINE or at A STORE CLOSE BY."
Ahh, okay. I now understand that these glasses don't do anything at all yet. I love vague, fake demos. Good job guys.
what the fuck are u talking about😂
Yeah, this is 100% a kickstarter scam or equivalent. This tech doesn’t exist yet. Full stop.
@@Mmmmilo Look at their previous product, the monocle. The technology inside the glasses is real. How good the AI examples they showcase in the video are working, well that depends on the AI. More than often you will probably get less accurate results with current tech. But that is something that will improve. Since the companion app is open source you are free to add your own backend
@@Emtrixx what about the internet connection? Is there a sim card or something?
@@anatoly-k Nope, Bluetooth to phone. Companion app handles data fetching
I was at CES2024 few weeks ago, no glasses were close to that ... the power of Marketing and CGI ?
Now that's a very interesting comment. Could you tell me more about this?
@@Melvin420x12 quick search CES2024 SmartGlass, do you Due Dilligence you'll see few glasses with full display for many technical reason (Vuzix the leader has green display to limit power consumption) on the other side XReal (also a leader/maker of display glasses) provide huge glasses with other limitation. LentinAR use another tech lightweight but very limited. And we don't talk te price which is 50% < all leader glasses for better features ... LOL
The demo is WoW but I really don"t think it exists, ... it came out of the wood, no real footage, missed the CES or MWC, ... feels very very fake to me.
Do you have something to back this claim? Would love to hear a story time of experience there
@@timecode2226 sorry guys, you have to do your due dilligence before buying any gadgets, there is tons of articles, video about SmartGlasses at CES2024 that let you understand state of the art. Otherwise spend your money and you'll see ... may be it will be a good surprise. Or pay for a consulting expert. There is no shortcut in life.
we recommend doing some research and asking questions on our Discord (link above) lots to learn!
This is what I've been waiting for, a newer version of Google Glass.
I hope there will be another variant of them for non round version of these glasses, that would look so good and have nearly no visual difference between actual glasses. In my personal opinion right now they look kinda ugly to be worn in public, well maybe its only my opinion, but anyways still much better than something as apple vision that covers half of the face.
It's certainly your opinion, but one which most people share. How many round glasses do you see in the street...?
cool!
And simple 👌
just found a bunch of diy AR glasses on youtube dating from 5 years back. Now, I am curious to know what makes your product different from what these people have created.
Is it possible to create a CLI or text editor to code via bluetooth keyboard on mobile with this? Any chance of having a blue blocker addon clipon for inside between the lense and eyes?
We are fully Open Source, so yeah quite possible.
A delicious tidbit for Alphabet Inc.
Need to see a live tech demo from a trusted reviewer (*cough *cough MKBHD) before considering pre-order.
And now please actual footage of the display in the glasses. CGI is nice, but I bet the actual product is not even close.
Probably not yet functional
It’s gonna be out in April you can pre order
We need competition. But we also need the same Apple Vision finctionalities for 10x less the price 😅😅😅
Nowhere near close. Until waveguide practices are standardized and available for use in mass production. We're not going to see anything like what they're showing off here at that price point.
@@ExplorerOfTheGalaxy That's the quest 3. Save for the Apple eco specific features. They're very close in functionality.
can we get more information on Hardware specs and capabilities?
Apparently no...

Oh, the release of an innovative gadget on my birthday, cool!
Happy Birthday!
Does it support Arabic, English, German, and other languages of the world?
I want to know that before I buy it
more information on hardware specs and performance?
Check the site!
If I get these with prescription lenses, and then my prescription worsens, how would I go about updating my lenses? Would I ship them to Brilliant Labs? Also, is the software in these glasses upgradeable as AI continues to improve?
This Ad is a bit misleading. I’ve seen no demos having the frames output such things. So far, there’s only a small viewport showing a total of three lines of text. Unless it can do all of those, no videos have shown it.
Can i use footage and translate in hindi to give information to my viewser about your products
The design and form factor goes in the right direction!
Can I update my prescription down the line from a third party or does this lens have some proprietary reflective material built in?
Yes I was looking everywhere with AI with prescription lens and still missing.
I think Steve Jobs would love this concept.
I’ve never really tried any ar lenses and after hearing about these; I’m really intrigued. Are they beginner friendly?!
🥸 Love it!
Will these glasses be able to have an active interface with chat gpt?
They are open source, you can basically do whatever you want with them, of course you'll have to know code
it runs Perplexity AI not ChatGPT.
@@HERKELMERKEL he did asked that tho
it runs both!
Always listening always watching always tracking.
Our code is fully open source, (accountable) and any data collected is anonymised before being shared with external LLM’s. Your privacy is as important to us as it is to you.
Please make the monocle into an actual monocle that we can wear directly in the eye. Small plastic galleries at the top and bottom would improve the design, I believe.
Ok, perfect. Raybans but developer friendly. I have so many app ideas.
Will you support distribution of apps via a store?
What will be the underlying API / operating system?
Is there any real product video?
Does it support live transcription?
Yes, though server speed could be a limitation.
Let me part of the history, and leave my comment here, I’m not able to buy one, but boy oh boy…..I hope you achieve what you want. The glasses can easily be the future.
What is the thickness of the overlaid display lens? And does the seat for the RX lens behind it have a traditional bevel, and if so, can lenses be glazed by an optician?
Yes, though they need to be proficient in optical bonding
Da suporte para lingua portuguesa, Brasil?
I want to love this concept, however the fact the frames are round vs rectangular (which fits my face best) makes me wait until the next release where one does become available. Not going to risk spending the same amount as my current frames for circular ones.
How about prescription glasses ?!
I have family who live in Poland but I never understand when they are speaking, i can speak a bit of polish but need to understand what they are saying so i can respond.
Can I use the glasses to understand a foreign language which is being spoke in front of my eyes?
it can do single messages, but not a real time conversation. this is in the the works, but not implemented yet.
Can they be used as a second screen for my phone or laptop?
I've been waiting for something like this. looking forward to it
can you connect it to a computer? it would be amazing to have multiple vs code tabs in aumented reality
you can, its fully open-source.
is this glasses can i mod the electronic in them to add more features
Potentially yes, it’s a fully open source device. Though you would do so at your own risk.
I definitely want to try this
Does it support Chinese or other languages? If it does, please tell me.
I'll order it right away, no joke
Even though I work at McDonald’s 🍔😂
单片 支持中文和日文 立马付款
Why not go with a shape that more people would consider wearing. very few people want circular glasses
preorderd cant wait
I volunteer as tribute!
this will beat apple and facebook and google
Interesting...
Does it support Japanese?
A new era has begun: PCs, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and TVs are all at the same device. Plus open-source!
open-source!
Can these glasses save my friendships?
Awesome!
Prescription doesn't high enough for me 😕
We are working on it! Stay tuned for updates!
Great thanks !@@brilliantlabsAR
are those batteries in the temple tips?
at the end of the arms. brilliant.xyz/ shows the BREAKDOWN.
What about camera, projector and compute? No way those are fitting in this form factor. Looks like vaporware.
@@brilliantlabsARare you going to address the fact that this is all just a bunch of marketing nonsense and there’s no way these things work as advertised?
Just ordered a pair can’t wait. So far I got the Apple Vision Pro, rabbit R1 and now these it’s been a great year for tech
A fool and his money are soon parted, I guess.
You didn't buy Humane AI Pin? Shame on you
Just a render!
I want to see how well the web browser actually works. That and how to UA-cam videos is what spend 70% on my phone. Searching up stupid little questions and watching how to videos
Can it solve maths problems
it can
NEED!
올ㅋ 이정도로 경량화에 성공한 적이 있던가
🎉🎉
Fucking incredible !
Does it support augmented reality
When are we gonna get actual reviews from people
Nice renders and a lot of fluff. Believe it when they ship it.
Shipping in 2 months (as their website states). The Monocle (their first product) wasn't vapourware, I have no reason to believe this will be
@@supasimonit’s going to nowhere near as useful and polished as this video claims. If it were, then a bigger company would’ve already built this.
can we cheat on our exam with this AI glass? 😂 like biochem?!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ドラゴンボールのスカウターみたい🐉
As long as we get rectangular frame. This one looks horrid
Apple couldn't do this. Meta couldn't do this. But you can?
Exactly. This is utter nonsense.

trying to figure out how this would be better than Xreal glasses or Rokid, or even Vuzix which also has a single display (which is a step backwards in my opinion. Magic Leap been doing the Smartglasses in the most advanced way up to this point, and thats a shame really.
That is too cool
Loving it
Wer hat die denn designed… einfach Bügel etwas dicker und Lautsprecher in den Bügel.. runde Gläser sind auch eher ungeil
there should not be a speaker. we need to cover it :D so Bluetooth was enough.
we agree, audio support via headphones
You need to send a pair to competent journalists or admit it's a scam
demo your product without actually telling how it's going to work.
Subscriptions are a big no.
My new Frame glasses doesn’t turn on. After the unboxing everything was perfect, but after two days they doesn’t work anymore. The glasses are fully charged, but when i unplug the charger they doesn’t turn on. Before that the last time i used the glasses the only words that were on the screen are “Tap me in”, but after the touch nothing has happened. I really don’t know what to do. Sorry for my english, i am an italian customer. I hope that you can help me, i don’t know other ways to contact you
did you solve this problem? we had a few units that needed to be discharged for 24-48 hours to fix, this problem was fixed in a recent firmware update.
it will be cool if there was nother version with full smartphone /computer built in them full ar like apple and face book but in glasses form and be sleek
This is cool but no one wants to read a paragraph of information in their glasses. Should just give quick proactive, non-intrusive info like price of an item, calories, online availability, etc. IF you stare at a product for longer than 5-6 seconds which may notate user interest. AND off to the side, not in the line of sight of the user. Glasses should then prompt the user if they want to know more and send larger format info to the phone if user confirms with a voice response.
agreed, we are currently refining how Noa responds to different types of queries.
Can we get better design? These are dorky
If that display isn't the real display and is a render then the whole video is pointless as that's the only new feature we havent seen before, nothing else interesting to see here.
Hands down please. Same use case which was failed earlier in the name of smart glasses in the market. May be they will add AI gimmick.
+ Boring template demo video.
It smell scam
No spring hings, awful plastic choice to make it flimsy, no nose pads for adjustment. If you went to an optician and said "hey make these comfortable to wear" you would have a decent pair of frames and not junk
magnetic nose pads with different sizes included in the package.
It only has one display? That is... not great. I don't want full head tracking but I'd at least like to have the graphics displayed in 3d
Somehow I am just not impressed. Why not something NEW?
Like a simulated system (like in Web Novels)?
Or life deepfaking so I can watch a movie and replace certain faces with others?
Something crazy and ... NEW!!!
these are so ugly why cant one of these companies making smart glasses design a frame that looks good.
This product is a scam, Ordered and paid, since May 2024, it is now October, have not recieve anything
Update : I have recieved it today, 12th October. And I will retract the previous statement
scam is rather harsh. why don't you share your order number and we will look into your order.
These things look stupid compared to the Meta / Raybans partnership. Dear tech companies, don’t make your customers look like morons / weirdos wearing your tech gear 😂
Lets first start developing automatic reading far off glass. Then it can combine everething in one glass. No more prescription glass need in the hole world. Think of the market value.
Scam
join our Discord! (link above) it will dispel your concerns.
do u want people to look like the 🤓emoji when wearing em? that design is a bully magnet
The frame shape is currently in style. I have a pair of circular frames as my daily use and never had any issues.
Right I hate the design. I prefer if the glasses looked more like viture or xreal.
LOL, that thing looks ridiculous. Laziest A.I. & "Augmented Reality" product announcement I've ever seen.
Why?
This is literally the only pair of AR glasses announced to date which don't protrude out of your face like googly eyes
@@MF_JONES Actually Vuzix Ultralight is in an even better looking form factor
actually this is probably updated version of "Monocle" glasses that introduced less than a year ago.
the Monocle looks hidious comparing to this.
This ("Frame") looks more like a regular glass, very thin and light.. so, a lot of improvements just in a year.
but still the frame of the glass is not good enough.
@harrisongross7341 But not on sale...
