Hi @philistinemusic, I totally recommend the OC-3 octave pedal for the violin. I am super happy with it. (Although, I haven't tried any others, so to be able to compare.). ☺️ Let me know how it goes, and if you try other pedals!
Great performance ! I have a barbera bridge electric violin. Which amp do you recommend to play with a pedalboard classical, jazz, and rock with distortion. Roland AC 60, fender junior blues, mesa boogie studio 22+, fishman loudbox artist, ...?
Hi Frederic, thank you for your kind words! I am sorry I can't give you a review of the amps you mentioned because I have only tried one of them. I have the Roland AC-60 and I love it. I have tried other amps for acoustic guitars that were more expensive, and I didn't like them as much. So the only advice I can give you is to try different amps before buying one, because it has a great effect in your sound. Also, I don't know if you use an octave pedal or not. If you do, you should look for an amp that supports low frequencies. With the AC-60, when I play with the octave pedal, the sound breaks sometimes. So my next amp will have a bigger cone that can support low frequencies as well. I hope this helps. 😊 Cheers, Mireia.
I'm currently lookg for a volume pedal to go on my rig, Do you feel that this boos suck much of your tone? Seem some reviews that the sound gets a lot darker...
Hi @Deadman Dance, sorry for the delay in the response, I didn't see your comment until now. I like this volume pedal so far. I didn't notice a negative change in the quality of the sound, but I only use it at the end of my songs to fade out. The nice thing about it is that it's heavy and it doesn't slide away. Also, the pedal offers some resistance, so it's easy to control it very precisely with your foot. I hope this helps! :)
Groovy 😃
Has it been a year already ?
