These bat-reps are amazing, you get a lot of the rules right and have some crazy camera angles and animations to let the viewer understand what's going on, super engaging. Just a tip: Plague marines cannot be injured, and neither can pox walkers. Other than that, this video was perfect! Keep it up!
Great has always ! I like when you zoom with your camera to let us see the line of sight before the shoots, you should do it more. It give the immersion !
Top tier content as always, brother 🤙 your batreps are the only ones I watch start to finish. Love/hate to see the plasma gunner take so many mortals from overcharging 😂
Thanks buddy! appreciate you watching, especially if you're lasting till the end - the voice over gets progressivly crazed towards the end so bless you :D Yeah man officially the worst game a plasma gunner ever had, excluding the previous editions.
These Bat Reps are slick as hell!!! As a newcomer to the game they are really helping explain a few things. Subbed and looking forward to future content!
@@GFNGaming It's so nice to see the actual battle and not two gamers trying to remember what to do and where they left their can of pop. You obviously put a narration over the top later, which works very well. I have talked to my son about doing battle report videos and we wanted to massively improve the quality out there. But you are there already, so we can sit back, relax and watch your quality items. It makes me very happy. Can you please do Kroot vs Genestealers.... :)
Thanks man, thats very kind of you to say. You should still do some battle reports, always room for more .... then i can watch some :D hah kroot Vs Genestealers, the cannabal showdown, who will eat whom first? :D i'd love a Kroot kill team. Don't have one at the moment but for sure will get one, always wanted some.
I had a lovely team of salamanders for the last edition, Had 2 lascannons to make use of their 1 reroll rule but its not legal now. Will have a look at what I have see if I can run a basic fireteam.
Cheers man, It was mainly drybrushing and sponges. Started with a bright turquoise then i dry brushed on a copper, then hit it with a bunch of different sponges of orange and browns just kinda spladged it on with very little concern hit it all with an agrax. Think it all came together with the pigmet powders though - used a mix of dirt and rust from AK interactive. Quite a hap hazard technique managed to get about 10 done in an evening. then just random details.
The death guard shooting did not go well this game, but it still ended surprisingly close. I think the plague fighter could have charged two dudes in round 2. Killing one and leaving the other in combat so he couldn't be shot at
@@GFNGaming yeah I think in general the ap-1 is just better. Tesla's are for hordier squads if anything. As splash 2 could do some good work against ig or nids
At the beginning of TP 2. Necron warrior is injured and has Movement 2". He moves 2" but then dashes 3". Dash is move action with limit of 3". But if you have 2" movement characteristic, you should move 2" and dash 2".
@@GFNGaming Pg. 63, Dash Action (1AP): Move the active operative following the same rules as a Normal Move action with the following exception: It can only move up to 3". Pg. 61: Normal Move: Move the active operative up to a distance that does not exceed its Movement characteristic. Pg. 68: While an operative is injured, subtract 2" from its Movement characteristic... Necron Warrior having base of 4" drops down to 2" Movement characteristic while injured. Dash follows rules of Normal move with added limit of 3". It is like having speed limit of 60 mph but driving vehicle capable of 30 mph. (or 30 / 20 in this case) EDIT: Apparently my PC and phone has different accounts. EDIT 2: To be fair. This only comes up when you play 4" Movement operatives (Necron/DG) or play Tau with Photon Grenades.
@@GFNGaming @Majkls999 BTW, the FAQ actually clarified this that Dash is NOT affected by movement characteristic changes. Very subtle. Q: Do modifiers to the Movement characteristic affect how far an operative can move when it performs a Dash action? A: No, unless a rule specifically mentions the Dash action. For example, if was subtracted from an operative’s Movement characteristic, it would still move up to when performing a Dash action. However, if a rule states ‘each time an enemy operative performs a Dash action’, then it would be affected.
mmmmm was a kit i bought ages ago sector imperialis maybe? had it for years. Not really a set can just build as you want so the middle terrain is a bridge with 2 buildings either side. Other building is a more stock building from the kit using the instructions though
Love the battle report, especially because it's Necrons. Only thing I noticed is that everyone is claiming objectives even if they're above or below the objective. Are the vertical distances on those terrain at or less than 1 circle (2")? Because distances are measured from any part of a base to the center of the objective, true distance, right?
Thanks man. I'm a fan of necrons this edition, play how they should i think, Yeah, measuring from the tops of the models to the objectives they are in circle
@@GFNGaming Yeah, I'm really a fan too. Their 2APL and slow speed does mean that for missions that require activating/claiming an objective, they're definitely at a disadvantage, but those that you just have to be next to in order to control, they're a lot stronger. Regarding objectives and vertical distances, pg. 53 in the rulebook mentions that all distances are measured from the base of the model, not the top of the model, which is why I was wonder why they were able to claim objectives from above or under the markers. :)
Cheers man, oh damn i forget which sets. I got a bunch of terrain kits AGES ago. I do have a video where i make the table i use (i'm planning an expansion soon as i need to spice things up)
So my understanding of Implacable March is that you cannot Dash ever. It essentially allows you to move or charge further and still shoot. If all you're going to do is Move and Dash, then not using the ploy is better because you move 1 additional inch. But none of the Necrons should have been able to Dash in Turn 1.
Yeah from what I understand disgusting res triggers when the operative loses a wound, which it does during a mortal wound, you still get no chance to armour save the MW but DR would still trigger (from my understanding again)
Don't forget to add the 2VP for having a painted team! It seems daft but if you play in a tourney you need to remember those 2 points. It's good to get in the habit of adding them, maybe right at the start.
Seriously disgustingly resilience is stupid af, my friend the other day survived 17 wounds on one model because he did safe 10 of them, and the commander did receive a total of 30 wounds before dying, saved mostly by this, seriously i know is luck, but limit it a bit at least, like maximum 5 wounds resisted, i mean you have all dice you need but beyond 5 wounds it won't do
The other day, my tyranid warrior put through 22 damage in melee with an icon'd deathguard. He saved 15. Took 7. I laughed so fucking hard. It was incredible.

Cheers, yeah someone mentioned the injured thing. Makes sense thematically that they don't
Just a quick FYI: Death Guard don't get Injured.
Yeah, someone mentioned, It should be easy to remember it makes sense that they don't

Another fun battle report. I love the little animation you include. They add a lot to the report.
Cheers, yeah I'm always looking to add things to improve things,
also 32:18 dont think you can re roll a disgustingly resilient ability , if I read rules right re rolls are just for attack or defense rolls

Great battle report as per.

Immovable object vs immovable object, eh?
This will be fun!
Hahah yeah, slow and tough the mirror match.
5:00 The necron just jumped and went horizontal 3" with the dash action. That's a nono. It has to be a total of 3".
ah it does looks like that, but hes already on the top level, he was underneath a ledge from the upper level - he only moved 3'' no climbing at all :D

You gained a sub today.
I'm lost for some reason why at 6:35 the gunner was able to shoot, move and then active the point but doesn't he only have ALP2?
The Plague marines all have APL 3, classic astartes build really, minus the 3 circle move.
MAN how did I miss that plague marines have apl3! I played a match with em and was only using 2
It happens, it would make sense them having 2APL, Rubric marines only have 2APL - lifeless dusty boys and all.

disgustingly resilient applies to MWs too
Yeah I believe so, that's certainly how I played it. Just states when the model '...loses a wound', doesn't specify mortal wounds not included.
