I think that foreigners see more reaction videos to kpop to share the music that we like and in our countries isnt so common. Also see the reaction of a different culture to something very natural in their country of origin.
True because I don't watch reaction videos to Western songs unless the person reacting is from another country. It was also interesting that they thought negative of the fact that the reactor was talking through the song. We know that is a must for us or we get a bit peeved.
I really like the communications major, she was very interesting/entertaining. What she said about you guys having more genuine reactions is true. I watch more of your reactions than any other kpop reactors, even to the groups I don't like, just to hear an honest opinion.
Only 1 hour a day on youtube...maybe I should rethink my life choices. Then again I don't live in a city where there are lots of things to do literally cows there are in front of my house and corn fields are on the sides.
This has quickly become one of my favorite channels. Whether its a reaction video, a drunken night out with friends vlog (your friends are hilarious) a 3 hour karaoke stream (omg! speechless), or the more thought provoking vlogs, I really love the variety. Most of the korea channels I have watched up until this point have been from foreigners that have moved to Korea so it's really interesting to see Korea from a native point of view. Also you are not afraid to cover topics that someone who has just moved there would not feel comfortable or qualified to show/discuss. So far some of my favorite videos have been Danny's walk to NK, the impeachment protests (those were intense!), the Korea they don't want you to see and lol the $200 bowling night. Keep up the good work! I really think you have struck the right balance with your mix of videos.
I watch reaction videos because I have no friends that like K-pop 😲 so I'm all alone and like to hear what others think lol. I spend hours at night watching Drama Fever and VLive but hardly spend any time on UA-cam. #priorities
I think the reason why you guys have so many international viewers is bc a lot of people outside of Korea are curious about the insights of the Korean people themselves. Hence your success and/or fame. You guys feed the curiosity of those ppl from the outside who cannot physically go there and find out themselves. (Me included. Lol) Videos like this for example. A social experiment/survey involving insights of typical koreans. It is very fascinating for me to know that unlike us, int'l kpop fans, a lot of koreans doesn't really listen to a lot of kpop. Pretty ironic. I remember asking you guys on your first few reaction vids (it was either a Blackpink reaction video or probably a MOBB reaction video) when you first started this channel why it took you such a long time to listen to kpop when you're in fact already there in Korea yourselves. You told me that just bc you're in Korea, doesn't automatically mean that you listen to kpop. At first I found it weird but then I realized that even I do that here in my country (Philippines), I don't really listen to OPM (Original Pinoy Music) as much. Thank you for continuously making videos like this. Like I said, it fascinates me to know the insights of typical korean ppl. I will always support you guys and I'm even very happy that you've come a long way since. I'm one of the first few viewers and subscribers of your channel. Danny & David hwaiting! ✨😊
Yeah judging from the comments section most of the times, your fanbase is largely the english speaking international crowd. Like I would probably classify you guys as those sort of international youtubers who happen to live in Korea, the thing is you guys are Korean as well lol. I don't really know how you would try to increase your Korean fanbase though, cause it seems most of your audience intention in watching your videos to know more and learn about Korea, along with kpop as well, whereas Koreans don't really need that quite obviously. Maybe include Korean and English subs on the videos, but i know that is a lot of hard work and not everyone is willing to do that, but it does help. Other than that, if your not in the makeup game, i really wouldn't know how to do it, other than to direct your channel content towards more Korean interests. But seriously all the best still, if you guys do get a little more funding or money in the near future i hope, I reckon you should upgrade your camera and mic first and foremost.
I think having a sense of community is why a lot of people like not only reaction videos but beauty/cooking/gaming vids, etc. It's like an evolution of forums/msg boards. I also think you guys have a bit of a niche in kpop reaction vids since you're Korean (living there) and fluent in English. You pick up on nuances foreign fans often miss, but kinda understand where I-fans are coming too from (you both lived abroad as well right?) and can communicate with us easily... no need for subs :)
1 hour a day?! the minute I get home till bedtime I'm constantly watching. even when I'm washing dishes, I have it playing on the side. it's ok that they don't watch you guys as much as international viewers. I always look forward to your reactions because they're funny and genuine. dkdktv fighting
Yet another interesting video from you guys! I guess when it comes to watching youtubers/videos etc, viewers essentially want to 'relate' with what their watching - like, kpop fans watch reaction videos with the expectation that they will be able to relate with the reactor liking their fav group, song etc. or with this video for example, those who watch loads of youtube might want to know if koreans also watch as much as them? anyhooooo i'm loving these kinds of content from you two :) congrats on 60K subs!
I really just have 3 main channels I watch kpop reactions on. I watch JRE because he's just always hype and positive about the groups, you guys for a more realistic viewpoint, and Producer because he analyzes the videos and catches so much that I usually miss. I love the variety I find between those three channels (:
I enjoy watching your reaction videos because you guys serve as a medium for international fans who do not understand/understand very little Korean. In addition, your English is excellent and you guys are essentially "translators" between Korean culture and international culture. Most importantly, you guys seem to be very genuine in your reactions and overall have a lot of fun making your videos.
I loved this real 'man on the street' video👍 I hope you guys do more of these about various topics. Your content just keeps getting better. From your first reaction, to your Seoul City vibes, and vlogs and live streams, you've really grown. I hope you guys do a 'year in review' at the end of the year, and look back at your first full year as UA-camrs. I don't know why this video made me feel, so proud of you guys today, but I really hope you continue on as long as you enjoy it😊
4:19 Bored Guy BYE' 😒 ahahahaha Explain the reactions let you see the level of acceptance of certain external stimuli like when you eat something new or read something new is the same. It also empathizes with others
I initially couldn't understand why anyone would watch reaction videos but then I got into Pentatonix and consumed all the videos I could find of them. Once that was done I started watching reaction videos because I found I like to watch people discovering them for the first time. Then I kept watching those reactors and they'd react to Kpop so I got introduced to it that way. Now I'm a Pentaholic and a Blink and watch way too much UA-cam... I really enjoy these types of videos also because since I've become a Blink and gotten deeper into Kpop I've watched numerous videos about what Koreans think about various things because it's interesting to see the differences in our cultures. Keep on doing these street interviews please!
Yea , On a school day I spend like 3 or more hours a day . In the summer when school is out I'm on UA-cam all day. 😭😭😭 and I watch all dkdktv videos , I'm just not a fan of reactions .
I quit all of the socmed (fb, ig, twitter) years ago and become full time UA-cam user lol like i spend my whole day on youtube. I have watched too much of reaction videos that i can see how genuine the reactor is.
Hahaha it's okay you guys are funny ! That's about the same reaction for many people on UA-cam .1 hour that's a joke in it's self I watch UA-cam for about 3+ hours a day and that's if I'm working !LOL
Tbh i only watch reactions to groups i like because i’m curious about what other people think about them. And the reason why i like this channel is you guys are honest with your reactions and you actually understand the lyrics. And i try to watch more Korean reactions than foreigners so i can kind of understand how that group is viewed there.
i really like these interviews keep it up,also i think the reactors who overreact aren't that fun to watch it's much better when when you actually listen and watch so that you can state ur opinion
To be honest, I only watch DKDKTV videos when it's related to blackpink. But because you guys were cool, so I watch some of your videos (excluded the videos related to other idols). 😂😂
I watch it just to see funny reactions, and how interviewees said , to feel the song together. Well, those reactions videos mostly watches international fans. And sometimes out of curiosity just to make sure are they other persons that like it as I do. There were some times when I didn’t like the song that much but after reaction videos I started to like mv of artist somehow. Especially those who are not just being funny but also discuss his own thoughts about it is really cool and gives me some thoughts about the music and I just go to rewatch the mv to make sure again if it’s really good music in my own opinion
The guy with the pink shirt is literally me. I feel like i can react with the reactor haha. I also like to see if my favourite youtubers like it. Also 1 hour a day, for me it is probably 5 (I know sad)
maybe you guys could do a video about how many kpop groups a person can list? or how many artists they can list from each of the big three companies? or indie artists that they think foreigners should also listen to? or what indie artists they like?
I mostly seek out kpop reaction videos because no one around me IRL listens to kpop (small-ish city, Midwestern US). The types of reactions that I gravitate toward tend to fall into 1 of 3 camps: *expert opinions* ("dancers react", "musicians react", etc."), *trusted opinions* (knowlegable fans that consistenly put out quality reactions), and *newbie opinions* ("first time reacting to kpop", "my family reacts to kpop", etc.).
Hope you guys keep doing videos in English! You offer a unique insight. And I agree with several of those you interviewed...no fake or artificial feeling with your channel. Keep up the great work! 😊
The thing is depending on what sort of videos you watch, you might not even need youtube at all. Short news clips, funny clips, trivia, and cooking videos are all over the different social media sites. TV previews probably exist on Naver or whatever. V Live is basically for KPOP. But personally, I spend way too many hours on this website on average because I've found various people to follow over the course of a decade...
haha like one of those ladies said- I'm also the type to only look for reactions about my favourite groups. I dont have a wide enough interest in kpop (nor do I have the time) to just watch reactions for the reactions lol.
I watch kpop reactions because I'm a boaster at heart :D I like to see if other people like the things I like and get blown away by it. I'm Australian by the way.
The guy in 0:50 , he and his 2 roommates have youtube now, called Yoo-Hoo ! Edit: 4:23 I wonder how he feels if he sees this? ‘foolish’ ‘foolish’ ‘foolish’ reaction aahahhaa
I'm curious who's reaction you guys showed at first lol I think the reason behind why people watch k pop reaction videos is pretty simple really. It's similar to talking to a friend about a new movie/book etc or reading a critic's review of the latest movie etc. If you are a regular viewer of a certain person's k pop reactions than you know their general preferences and what other MVs they liked or disliked, just like you know your friend's or a critic's taste. Just talking about an MV is boring so it makes sense to show the MV at the same time and just give thoughts as it happens. Plus I think there's something neat about watching people experience something for the first time. Rather than just hearing your thoughts about the music videos after you watch them, seeing you watch them for the very first time, while it's completely fresh, and reacting to it as you experience is cool.
I would say I watch reactions because none of my friends are K-pop fans so I enjoy seeing other people watching and discussing something I like. Like one of the people said I also like to know if others feel the same way about the song or artist as I do. I really hate over the top reactions that are just doing it for the views (some just sit there with their mouth open or just go all crazy... I mean its good but its not that good). I only watch reactors that I feel truly try to listen and appreciate the song and give their honest opinion about it.
I really like the kpop reactions but have you ever thought of reacting to other things, like trends (ex: the floor is lava) or try not to laugh challenge videos that maybe we can send you guys to try to make you guys laugh
I've been spending past one year and a half fully with UA-cam than anything.. that's why I feel more destroyed. I feel this UA-cam is destroying me.. because I've no self control. Like even now. Oh God save me..😭
I spend too much more than 1 hour on youtube everyday, i feel so bad now I'll explain why i did start to watch reactions of k-pop: Before i like k-pop i was a huge fan of international artists and following then i start to learn english. In the last year i met k-pop and that was so addictive that i thought if i become a k-pop fan i were leave the international artists and then i'll lose my english. So the first solution that i found was how we say in my country "unite the useful to the pleasant", why not put k-pop and english together? But how? Watching reactions of k-pop. So the main reason that i start to watch it was to not lose my english, and i can tell you that my vocabulary became more big and i can understand people speaking in english better. Another reason is that i like cultural things and learn about others cultures, the korean culture is something new to me, so i like see how people from other countries react to it. I also react to koreans reacting to others cultures, mainly when it has Brazil, my country, i can't explain it, but i love see these "cultural shocks" it's a good way to learn about the differences between the cultures, and now i know a lot about korean culture and, in some way, i know how to treat an asian person no being disrespectful. So to the guy there, i'm not fool hahaha
lol their views are so different. i think watching reaction videos are already almost a norm to international fans. it would be good to have the counterpart video on this (why do intl fans watch reaction videos) 😂
We know that is a must for us or we get a bit peeved.

jasmine carlton lol where is that. I live in a city and I'm still on utube 24/7
why is this so relatable.
This has quickly become one of my favorite channels. i just spent my 24/7 with youtube seriously
I watch reaction videos because I have no friends that like K-pop 😲 so I'm all alone and like to hear what others think lol. I spend hours at night watching Drama Fever and VLive but hardly spend any time on UA-cam. #priorities
Razzle Dazzle thats literally me
same 👌
Razzle Dazzle you don't have to watch a bunch of Chinese singers with girly makeup like mascara and eye liner.
Same 😢😢😢

😂😂😂 u guys r global hit don't worry you'll be Korean famous in few years 😂😂😂
I'm doing a marathon seeing your old videos. I'm really appreciate your job, guys!
You should do the same thing but asking about MUKBANGS.
I think having a sense of community is why a lot of people like not only reaction videos but beauty/cooking/gaming vids, etc. It's like an evolution of forums/msg boards.

I love danny laughing. After seeing you laughing i started too😂😏
I'm digging these recent public interviews 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 more content like these pls 😊
Loved it. You guys are so meta! One big reason I love your channel.
Loved hearing you guys speak Korean! I hope you'll consider this type of format more...enjoyed the video! Tfs, D and D!
Please do:what koreans think of foreigner idols(philippino, white, black etc.)
Yet another interesting video from you guys!
I guess when it comes to watching youtubers/videos etc, viewers essentially want to 'relate' with what their watching - like, kpop fans watch reaction videos with the expectation that they will be able to relate with the reactor liking their fav group, song etc. or with this video for example, those who watch loads of youtube might want to know if koreans also watch as much as them?

danny's laugh is the cutest thing ever
omg literally shocked out me.. am i the only one who's in youtube for 24/7? :")
start my day with yt, ends with yt an logs in to yt mid day just to have background noise for work. lol so basically around 10-14 hours. lol
I enjoy watching your reaction videos because you guys serve as a medium for international fans who do not understand/understand very little Korean. 4:19 Bored Guy BYE' 😒 ahahahaha Explain the reactions let you see the level of acceptance of certain external stimuli like when you eat something new or read something new is the same. It also empathizes with others
you will get there guys! Keep doing what you're doing.
I initially couldn't understand why anyone would watch reaction videos but then I got into Pentatonix and consumed all the videos I could find of them. I love watching your videos.... Please ask koreans what they think of other asians including indians also... Pls.. Pls
i really liked the communication major girl answer i wanna take that class too haha good vdeo guys !
I'm probably the only person that's on UA-cam all day
I spend 70% of my day online 😂
I quit all of the socmed (fb, ig, twitter) years ago and become full time UA-cam user lol like i spend my whole day on youtube. I have watched too much of reaction videos that i can see how genuine the reactor is.
I spent 8 hours watching UA-cam everyday even school days, and 12 hours during summer or holiday.
Watching kpop MV's and variety show.
Hahaha it's okay you guys are funny ! That's about the same reaction for many people on UA-cam .1 hour that's a joke in it's self I watch UA-cam for about 3+ hours a day and that's if I'm working !LOL
이런 영상들은 너무 유익하네요ㅎㅎ 특히 한국어를 배우기 위해 도움이 많이 되는 것 같아요, 이렇게 영어 자막이랑 보면서..
재밌게 봤어영, 홧팅!
Damon from You-Hoo is in the house AT 0:48 BRO!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I CAN'T BELIEVE! :D
1 hour? omg I spend all time on youtube if BTS comeback😂
Tbh i only watch reactions to groups i like because i’m curious about what other people think about them. And the reason why i like this channel is you guys are honest with your reactions and you actually understand the lyrics. And i try to watch more Korean reactions than foreigners so i can kind of understand how that group is viewed there.

love dkdk
The guy with the pink shirt is literally me. I feel like i can react with the reactor haha. I also like to see if my favourite youtubers like it.
Also 1 hour a day, for me it is probably 5 (I know sad)
maybe you guys could do a video about how many kpop groups a person can list?
or how many artists they can list from each of the big three companies?

This is so funny. am on UA-cam almost four hours a day, maybe more and I have a really demanding job. imagine if I worked for myself....

Hope you guys keep doing videos in English! You offer a unique insight. And I agree with several of those you interviewed...no fake or artificial feeling with your channel. Keep up the great work! 😊
u should often make videos like this too , its fun
BTS❤
The girl who's talking about cooking ASMR, is she probably talking about "peaceful cuisine"? cuz i love it so much!!
The thing is depending on what sort of videos you watch, you might not even need youtube at all. What? 1 hour??! what do you watch under 1 hour that's not enough!! I watch it the whole day if i don't have classes.
i dont really watch kpop reactions but you guys are so funny and real. keep being yourself.
when recently all of your street question videos of people that are fans of BTS 💕💕💕💕💕 i love it!
I watch kpop reactions because I'm a boaster at heart :D I like to see if other people like the things I like and get blown away by it. I'm Australian by the way.
1 hour a day? CANT RELATE. I be on youtube until i'm in too deep tbh. Ranging from watching music videos to compilation of meme dogs videos
i find it cute when david speaks in korean ❤
The guy in 0:50 , he and his 2 roommates have youtube now, called Yoo-Hoo !
Edit: 4:23 I wonder how he feels if he sees this? ‘foolish’ ‘foolish’ ‘foolish’ reaction aahahhaa
I like to use reaction videos the way I use Pandora, to discover new music I wouldn’t necessarily have access to, or inclination to, find on my own.
That guy at 4:40 speaks the truth! That's why i also watch reaction videos.. 👍
My whole life is youtube.... What are you talking about 😂
when it's the weekend, in on UA-cam all day. during the weekday....6 or so hours....
Lol without UA-cam my life is hell 😂😂 i spend half of my day watching UA-cam until my daily gb finishes 😂
I watch reaction videos because they make me feel like l'm watching my favourite group videos for the first time.
Hour a day.... Dude I got home after work at 7pm and I watched til I passed out at 3am.... With snack breaks (walking in kitchen and back to my room)
the guy in 2:45 once react with you guys right??? reactions about blackpink right???? ahhh this makes me confused 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I was wondering who they were watching for the reactions 😂
I think that guy in the white shirt and pink sweater has his own youtube channel now!
I'm curious who's reaction you guys showed at first lol
I think the reason behind why people watch k pop reaction videos is pretty simple really.
David is so cute
An hour a day??? LOL, i live in youtube....... i need to get a live.....
Marcela Z. Yesss
Marcela Z. I used to pay the lava game as a kid.
This video now has me wondering , do koreans watch K-pop dance cover videos ? (ex Koreos UCLA, Viva dance studio, east2west)
I've been spending past one year and a half fully with UA-cam than anything.. that's why I feel more destroyed. I feel this UA-cam is destroying me.. because I've no self control. Like even now. Oh God save me..😭

No worries. We r here for fanchant specially for BTS😍
I spend too much more than 1 hour on youtube everyday, i feel so bad now
I'll explain why i did start to watch reactions of k-pop:
Before i like k-pop i was a huge fan of international artists and following then i start to learn english.
I LAUGHED OUT LOUD WHEN HE SAID "FOOLISH"
I spend like...4-5 hours a day on youtube. Now I feel bad
lol their views are so different. i think watching reaction videos are already almost a norm to international fans. it would be good to have the counterpart video on this (why do intl fans watch reaction videos) 😂
Most of the time I just watch as an excuse to see the mv again without feeling like complete trash LOL
