It also appears that your hilux doesn't have the toyota rear E locker, so I would highly suggest having a rear locker fitted as this will be game changing
I can see why you guys changed the car, a Landy is a great car but it's temperamental and you need reliability. See you guys out on the road (or water💧 ) soon 😊
For the old Dakar route through the dry West - African dessert the BFG AT will be good though, I guess. I have the same route on my list for 2026. With a Landcruiser 70 series.
One thing that‘s really sad is that the Toyota engines sound like a box of screws that falls on the ground 🥲 And as a Lux owner i was envious of the Td5 sound of the Landy very often. now welcome to my team 😂
By observation, remove the existing tow bar and replace it for a iron man receiver type or iron man metal rear bumper,I'm on my second hilux and replaced the current vehicles tow bar as I kept hitting it and occasionally getting stuck due to Toyota one being too close to the ground
I never go back to BF KO2's. After 60000 kilometers, the Rubber went hard and on wet Roads, especially in Curves, the Car began to get slippy. Even when I wanted to overtake and had to change lanes, it started to swerve from behind on the wet road. No fun at 120 km/h on the highway Be careful
Wil je ook een video maken wat het zou kosten als je dit zou doen zonder sponsors, liefst alle upgrades apart 😅. Ik schat30k zonder Hilux ? Ben ik in de buurt ?
"Lewie without the Rover"... 😂
no lewie, no rover
Haha yes
Big ups to you two love the passion you are putting into it ❤
Thank you 🫶
Hilux looks brilliant, great to have the training done also. Looking forward to seeing the whole build.
Thank you we learned a lot!

@@tingbase84 yes we have lockers but didn’t use it yet
@ good to hear, all the best for the Dakar trip, done a couple of the stages back in November and craving being back in North Africa
I believe almost all Revo's have that (although it was quite rare on the Vigo, especially on the more luxury versions)
I always enjoy your videos 👌
Awesome great to hear!
Love it! Looks like a lot of fun.
It was a fun way to learn!

Haha yes we love the car so far. Would be nice meeting 🫶
Loving your enthusiasm
Thank you 🙏
Love it ❤ excellent 👌

Wow, nice car! ko2 and mud is not the best combo ;-) with muddies on, your Luxy wouldn’t drop a sweat at all!

Yes, wrong tires for mud and wrong truck for mud. A tacoma in side by side tests with Hilux proves Tacoma is superior off road capability.
Yes but hard to get in Europe 😎

Haha yes it doesn’t sound really powerful 🫶
Lovely build.
Thank you 🙏

Yes we have the same problem now hahah

I'm sure you mis the Defender....😂
Haha sometimes yes! 😂
Sorry you couldn’t get through that mud, perhaps a bigger tire and bigger lugs on it
Yes that would help 🫶
I think my defender would have done it 😆 jk ahah
Ser you soon guys!
Hahaha you always get stuck. Even if they give you a tank you will still manage to get it stuck somewhere 😂
Instructeur mike? Als ik het goed zag . In oss op de crossbaan. Heb daar me 1e cursus van harrie Schouten gehad met mike er bij .
Haha klopt inderdaad!

This is so painful. No bar. No steps. No snorkle. Ironman suspension bahaha. Hell No. And the driving well. Guess you have to learn somehow.
Haha you will see that in the next video
What year is the hilux?
It is from 2020

I think after 60.000 kilometers its time for new tires no matter which brand 😅
@@theridesideoflife But mine were only 2 years old and the profile still had more than 80%
Haha maybe, we are very happy with them.
The Hillux looks boring compared to the Defender - still have fun
I drove both cars in Africa in 4x4 operations - advantage Hilux - more reliable
Thank you and we agree with you haha
Молодцы, новая машина лучше!

Far too much air pressure… but nevertheless lots of fun.
Yes we should have decreased them!

Should have kept the Landrover - such a better vehicle and so much cooler
It is cool indeed 🫶
Best move getting rid of the Defender , unreliable shit box.
Haha it was not that bad
Lewie and the Hilux 😂
Haha maybe in the future the new name?
@@lewieandtherover Lewie and the Lux sounds a bit better
Hi!! Lewie
I wonder how the defender would have done.
I think better in this situation
