If you ever decide to cover censorship in fighting games. I can detail the censorships made from the first update. Including Censorship of colors, when it came to certain parts of clothing for females exclusively. The jiggle physics removal. And shrinking of bust sizes of the female characters. And lastly the censorship of certain words like "cleavage".
Harada once said he would NEVER charge extra for DLC characters. Saying, like chess, you need all the pieces available to both players. That was 2012 and sadly much has changed since then.
the scorn over the Street FIghter 6 and TMNT crossover is well deserved as not only are the skins abhorrently priced, but they are also only for the Avatar characters and not the main characters.
They made Yor an ugly looking avatar character then proceeded to add guest fighters in the franchises for the first time ever with Terry & Mai. How do you mess that up?
The only thing that really affects me is the fact that you have to buy DLC characters even for practise mode. So if I wanna learn how to counter Lidia in the lab, I have to buy her. I have to actually pay for skill.
@@tengr0057not really as dlc is coming out, these files aren’t already existing within the game but are patched in after you buy the dlc. game would probably have to be dropped for a while for someone to patch in all the dlc, not to mention that it’s pretty difficult to get a pirated game with online functionality running
I bought the standard edition of Tekken 8 on day one. I will NOT get any DLC until it is all released and offered at a discounted price. This is my take on most modern fighters as I see them putting forth what I consider to be “predatory” practices. I understand that these games are very expensive to produce and maintain, but they are very expensive to the consumer, as well. When I pluck down $70 to play a game on my “500 system that also includes a $20-$40 a month fee to even play it online, I expect to get at least a little bang for my buck. I am especially disappointed in being mislead by the publisher to think that a number of available features in the game will be available to me at launch, when they are actually hidden behind an extra pay window. All of this just reiterates my love for old-school retro gaming. Back in the day, games were complete, out of the box. Extra characters and modes were included, and could be enjoyed throughout the lifespan of the game. Since it is no longer like that, I strongly urge people to go back and play older games on older systems in order to not continue to be screwed over by the latest and greatest that is new gaming. This whole culture really needs a serious reboot.
Interesting, me and my partner got collectors editions of Tekken 7. These were advertised with "Season Pass" not advertised with "Season Pass 1 out of 4" and we felt ripped off then. The perception was that we'd get more than just a couple of returning characters. This feels as if we're leaning more towards micro transactions as an industry standard. DLC that's ready soon after a games launch suggests that it was in development long before, and that feels odd to me
@@V2ULTRAKill Well, if you want to mince words, then yes., you’re correct; “extra” characters were just unlockable. You are, however, incorrect about buying the game again in a year. Capcom pulled that kind of stuff with Street Fighter II on the SNES and Genesis, but Tekken was always released as a complete game until much later iterations on newer systems. My point is you got a lot more bang for your buck back in the day. The games were complete and you didn’t get ripped off with micro-transactions and dlc. All characters, stages, and modes were included on disc and only cost $50 back then. Today, most of those games can be bought on eBay for $10-$30. The games were great and complete back then. We can enjoy them, now, without dumping hundreds of dollars, and without being misled by shoddy marketing schemes. There’s no need to call me, or others, a “bozo.” Please maintain a level of respect, even if you disagree with my point, and anyone else’s. Thank you.
I totally get where you're coming from. For me, it’s MK1. I picked it up at launch because I wanted to support NetherRealm and am a big fan of the series, but I’ll also be waiting for a price drop on any additional content. I did buy Peacemaker, but after they nerfed him into the ground, I learned my lesson: wait until all the balance patches are out and the game feels truly complete before diving into the extras and spend more money.
Tekken 8 fiasco timeline -Bamco introduce battlepass (which is basically just old cosmetics from tekken 7)after a month of its release. Basically they want to critics to praise the game before they add microtransaction -After that they introduce the premium shop -People realised Bamco still didn't know how to fix the plugging and cheating issue. -The Murray Spreadsheet -Launching Eddy as first DLC character. Which is obviously a cash grab -The Sphere -Attacking modders and their youtube channel -Horrible matchmaking -Free DLC episode (which was written poorly) -4 dollar stage that is sold separately. Even people who biy the ultimate edition are going to buy it even though they are suppose to get all season 1 DLC for free -Heihachi and his poorly written reintroduction to tekken 8. He is also sold separately. Another obvious cash grab -Harada twitter apology -He deleted it -Present day
"Pays £250 for Ultimate + Collectors edition" *No free costumes and accessories *No free premium fight pass *No free DLC's and stages *No exclusive stuff for the Legendary edition buyers This is straight up robbery. And I doubt they even used the stolen money on the game at this point because that last story DLC was the cheapest crap I've ever seen! (Looks like it was made at home)
The fact that Bamco introduced a premium shop in the game months after launch is plain disgusting. Thankfully platforms like Steam make it a little easier for customers to push back by changing their reviews afterwards.
Then stop gaming. If it's so simple, stop gaming. That means no consoles, don't buy any PC's or laptops, don't buy any handhelds. Just quit cold turkey. And while we're on the subject of turkeys, don't buy food from anywhere because by your logic most large companies hate us. Just go off the grid and live under a rock. Meanwhile the rest of us who understand capitalism and consumerism will continue to live because it's all we got right now
22:49 "Those who purchase this pass will now also receive access to the temple stage" Their announcement doesn't mention this. Instead, it states that "Pass owners will have access to the WINTER Battle Stage DLC". In effect this means, (1) Genmaji Temple still has to be bought by everyone, even character pass holders, (2) The free Stage for the character pass holders is the NEXT DLC set to release in winter.
it didn't mention it, but i got it. for the record i pre-purchased the deluxe one. i didn't have the chance to log in for like 4 days after heihachi release, but when i logged in, genmaji temple was readily available without having to be purchased for additional price
Heck did not Bandai Namco already let people from the DBZSZ go right after? And now after Knowing Unknown 9 sold 0 copies, I’m super sure they will tax the heck out of DBZSZ and Tekken 8 players. Oh boy!
It's really sad to see things like this today. Years ago, I was as big a Tekken fan as you could find. Whether it was an arcade joystick or a Playstation controller, I could never get enough tekken. On the Playstation 2, there wasn't a game that I played more than Tekken Tag Tournament. A game in which you could unlock every fighter through gameplay relatively easily. Now you have to pay extra money to use Heihachi? That's pretty wild. At least it seems like the games are still good. I Don't know though. I haven't actually bought a tekken game since tekken tag 2.
I will always have more respect for someone who is honest, regardless of whether I agree with what they say, think, or how they act. Lying, insulting, and gaslighting only gets you more problems when the truth comes out.
"New games are costing even more to make, so we need more ways to demand money from paying customers." What a total bull$hit argument. Shouldn't studios instead take on the responsibility of releasing high-quality products and still make them cost-effective for everyone?! 🤬
Really good detailed breakdown of all that happened. That Chinese player being removed made me feel the spirit of the 1990's arcade was fully dead. That was tragic.
Tekken community member here. We all hate the structure of the game as it is, being more like a casino where you have to "guess" more instead of "react". The monetization isn't that much of a pain for the pro scene, but having XCC disqualified was a slap in the face. Ultimately, Tekken 8's atrociousness can be attributed to the publisher Bandai Namco and their inability to sell in a consumer-friendly manner. Devs can change the way the game fundamentally plays, but they can't change the way it's all sold.
BAMCO is literally milking its franchise that “succeed” after all the ESG/DEI slop they made and became a net loss. Now they’re asking for the DB, Tekken, and Tales teams to fall on the sword for suits. This is Japan people, sorry this is bad side of the all the “good will” CEO nonsense they push out, like reducing their pay. Wow the CEO who gets paid by compensation takes less when the compensation is lower. Wow what a great guy. 😊
I bought the cheap version of the game and will NOT buy any other transactions like costumes or stages. I can still play the game online, so I'm happy with just that. They won't get another penny out of me. 😊
Tekken 8 is awesome but will they ever shut up about those damn controversies? And to me, it’s the few big budget games in recent memory that impressed me.
Thank you for being a voice of reason instead of a voice of division. We need more people that believe in the love of our common love of games instead of the hate from far ideologies
One of the most polished fighting games to ever launch? Are you kidding me? Mechanics that weren_t thought throuh, garbage netcode, no penalty whatsoever for ragequitting. No that game was not polished whatsoever on launch. Boasting FAR more features? Replay takeover is nice and arcade quest is a good tutorial mode, but that is not nearly FAR more than SF6's character guides, combo trials, world tour, arcade, battlehub, extreme battles, avatar battles and excessive training options in the lab.
It’s like SFV not that it lacked content but it’s a boring fighting game with Greedy Tactics, lack of modes and replay value, and a terrible fighting game system Like SFV had V system which made characters feel limited Heat does that it limits character freedom and expression characters just don’t feel fun like previous versions. A lot of people hate how some of their main characters feel boring and simplified now. Every DLC character is an install gimmick character. It’s a damn shame cause more people have and are playing Tekken 7 and Tekken 5 DR. The only people left are shills and pros who do it for greed.
Tekken's gameplay has arguable been the same since Tekken 3 with minor balance changes and additional two to three moves for existing characters with each numbered sequel. If I want to play a modern Tekken game today and avoid this predatory microtransaction business model in the industry today; I'll just purchase Tekken 7 with all the DLC characters for a ludicrously low price. I'm sure Lady Decade can provide us with a sponsored link for 75% off the game if we're lucky. ;)
i was shocked then we heard news about how bandai responded , paying expenses, giving stage and token for free , it so rare in gaming industry for multilion company to say " sorry"
This is the same company that gave us Sparking Zero. And anime game that's complete, comes with everything plus extra and the only noteable DLC is content from a new dragon ball series that just started last week. Bamco can give you a complete game. They just choose not to.
It's a shame, because underneath all the controversy and horrible DLC and microtransaction practices, Tekken 8 is actually a great game and, arguably, the best Tekken game to date.
You don't have to buy it no? It takes money to create art. I don't see why people think they deserve free content that doesn't interfere with the game. Like the base game is all you could ask for. Why do you need extra cosmetics, there so much already in the game?
Yeah… no. Gameplay wise? Sure, you can say Tekken 8 is the most polished and if you want, „best“ gameplay and graphic wise. But Tekken 8 also has the worst story mode so far too, a far too convoluted DLC Story follow up, the worst Arcade endings where the absolute majority of them are lazy jokes and Reina being the worst character in Tekken history in design, lore, story, personality and writing who’s existence just makes Lars‘ entire existence pointless and Kazumi‘s story far less emotional
Forced upscaling is a silly choice for a fighting game, this is the first installment I've not pre-ordered since the original game on PlayStation. Disappointing design choices has put me off
And, this, my friends, is why we need to release completed games, instead of games that serve as a framework for constant DLC releases. If it starts good, it stays good. No change. As to the question of "soaring costs of game development"... maybe just don't spend so much on development? Actually budget yourself and don't overspend? Sure the games won't be quite as large as a result, but do they really have to be?
Nice costume/hair. I remember the days you threw in a fighter and bashed the snot out of each other. It seems like you have to pay to throw a kick. I still remember playing Tekken as my first ps1 game. Just freaking mind blowing.
I dropped out of Tekken during part 5. And their "better deal because you get x number more for buying more" is horseshit. Every game that has a premium cost currency monetized in the exact same way and numbers. So No, I won't be wasting my money or time until these predatory monetization practices are gone. I'll stick to my older games and buy steam games on sale that don't have greed driven monetization. No costume should be more than .99c or character should be more than $3.
I recall the story of WoW selling a mount that eventually out-sold the sales of StarCraft 2. These micro-transactions are about publisher greed. The more popular a game, the more they want to milk the community.
Ah you're referring to the Celestial Steed from WoW, a mount that cost $15 back in the day. TBF they're comparing the revenue earned from the mount specifically to StarCraft 2's expansion, Wings of Liberty, which sold over a million units during its time. The mount represented very little development cost compared to the payout versus all the labor & manpower needed for developing a full blown expansion. As long as people are willing to pay then we're gonna see idiotic micro transactions like this, what can be done about it?
There's been talk of another video game crash but what about a fighting game crash? Between ballooning budgets and increasingly egregious monetization practices they can't keep this up forever, eventually the fans will revolt and long running fighting game franchises will fall if they aren't able to adapt.
I thought that the battle pass thing for SF6 would reward me with all the premium content forever as long as I won online, so it seemed like a good deal. Then I found out that it resets every month. Now I avoid dlc, especially when it's all dependent on multiple muddy systems of Disney dollars.
Hope that will never happend if Virtua Fighter 6, or Reboot or what ever, coming out. I see. Even today. Most fighting games are boring. Anther Set, Charayls, Option but in the end is it the same.
I played Tekken 8 for about a week or so, stopped playing it and never looked back. Fighting games almost feel like a scam to me now. You're paying top dollar just to play the same match ups and stages over and over again for hours a day just to try and be good at them. But what really bothers me about tekken is this rage art business.
This is why I play my NES, SNES N64, game Cube and other older consoles. I have not played on my PS4 now for over a year no new games interest me. Oh I lie. I do want to play Black Myth. And I do want to get back to Elden ring
I knew when they created Lars then Reina and finally bringing Heihachi back that Tekken 8 after bringing him back from Theodora’s in Tekken 7 that the series was dead.
Here's an idea for developers and publishers... Focus on making a game, and not adding in extra costumes... Do they not think we are not aware that almost all the DLC has been planned out before the games release? WE KNOW... We all remember the Tony Hawks Pro Skater 5 Debacle where the Games we bought was a glorified Demo... and we had to download the actual game! We know you have already planned and even created the skins and hold them back until later... And while some do prefer fancy graphics and 120 FPS... Focus on making a Good Working Game and fans will but it! The evidence is there in how much Retro Gaming has taken off in the last few years... Older games dont have the graphics or Framerates... But they do have GAMEPLAY! Developers are trying too hard to one up one another with Fancy Graphics and Astonishing Framerates they have forgot games need to be FUN! Lets be very open here... How many Players still Play STREET FIGHTER 2 After all these decades? THOUSANDS! I know for a fact that should I come across a GAUNTLET Arcade Machine, I am jamming a good $100 in the thing... And that game has NEVER been updated! Older Games are simply FUN... We keep coming back to them because they are FUN! There are people who still play the ORIGINAL TEKKEN GAMES ... VIRTUA FIGHTER, MORTAL KOMBAT, Why? Because they are FUN! Graphics, Extra Characters, Framerates... They are only worth something if the game is FUN! You need players to want to keep playing... Not Keep spending! If the online is too expensive to maintain... STOP FOCUSING ON ONLINE GAMING! People woudl be happy to pay for a Battle Pass... But Not a Battle Pass and a BLOODY STORE! NOT IN A FULL PRICE GAME!
Tekken 8 was one of my favourite in the series. I loved the energy of The Darkness Awakens, and those final battles were amazing. Still think Tekken 3 is the best.
The only Tekken I played was Tekken3 on the PS1. Given how much gaming has changed beyond all recognition in 30 years, I honestly doubt whether gaming will even survive the next 30 years.
The fact that the publisher is now offering the Tekken community this free stage and the coins shows that they believe that the financial damage caused by these surprise monetizations is greater than the revenue. In the past, I always had the feeling that, despite all the shitstorms in the video game industry, bad business practices are still lucrative. Maybe that's changing now. Maybe the publishers should try a completely new approach: honesty and taking player feedback into account. Harada has obviously understood this.
Bandai Namco is just doing damage control and WILL NOT continue to be transparent. Here the proof: after the lunch of DB sparkling zero, they fired a lot of people, after that unknown 9 was released. A complete failure that they knew was coming.Keep in mind that sweet baby Inc is at the helm of the unknown game. Bandai Namco has gone woke unfortunately, hence the cancelation of Naruto, one piece and demon slayer. Not in lined with woke ideology. Pay close attention to Bandai Namco next few games after Bleach. A sad day in the history of Namco and Bandai. They have gone western mentality. Another proof: SBI has been destroying western games for a few years now, so why would a long standing and respected company chose to do a game that will fail?!?!?? ALL game involving sbi has failed, why would such a company chose to do a project from them knowing that it will fail. As I said Bandai Namco has gone woke.
Apparently gamin is the highest grossing form of entertainment. So when gamers reject being told what to think by these game developers and studios. It comes down as controversy. 🤷🏽♂️
@@forsaken650 Reject being told what to think? What? lol. I don't think anyone under this comment watched the video, so spoilers: it's about absurdly greedy DLC practices.
You got the last part wrong I'm afraid. The Genmaji Temple Stage (the Autumn stage DLC) won't retroactively be added to the Year 1 Pass, but the _next DLC stage_ (the Winter one) will be added. Everyone who boots up the game for a limited time will receive 500 coins regardless of having bought the stage or not, as it's an apology to the fanbase as a whole. We can only assume providing refunds for the stage across all three platforms would be difficult and costly, but at least they're trying to make ammends going forward. We'll have to wait and see how they handle Year 2. The crazy thing is, they did indeed give away the story DLC for free, which logically had the highest development costs of all the DLCs and they easily could have charged for it but didn't. Nobody is talking about that though because they handled the stage so poorly. At least they're responsive and are doing something. Other studios would have just ignored it all and pushed on, or worse clapped back at the players. Harada's apology was surprisingly candid, even for him.
Fighting game fans are like CoD fans. There is no action by the game companies that is so degrading that the fans will not cough up all their cash. As PT Barnum said...
As a physical game lover and collector, Tekken 7 was the last Tekken game I'd ever purchased and played and MK11 Ultimate on PS4 (only the PS4 version is complete on double bd discs) is the final MK game in my collection. Knowing Bandai Namco never ever release a complete edition of their games on physical before, there's no point getting the newer games when all your DLC costumes and characters can be taken away at any point in the future most likely due to service shutdown. As the head Ubisoft said "get used to not owning your games".. well I'll just be buying mostly indie at this point and playing older fighting game collections.
I feel a lot of the grievances in regards to the monetization of the game would die down a lot more if they handled balancing the game better, along with actually punishing pluggers, and cheaters. I don't mind paying for a stage or character pass (even though I didn't buy the year pass because I felt Eddy isn't worthy of a DLC slot and should of been a base character to begin with), but I do mind when pluggers and cheaters can still run rampant and no repercussions are actually taken against them. At least give me some points if someone decides to plug on me. Also the netcode is still pretty meh, and needs improvement.
many tekkenplayers think this game is a travesty that shits on tekkens heritage as a fightinggame, all gameplaywise. so not everyone agrees its a great game.. most longterm fans think its garbage
Wouldn't say most long term fans at all, its just that the ones that do are thought about more since its controversial, afterall theres a reason why the games much more viewed in tournaments and played in the pro scene or in general. Just the ones that cant accept change and adapt are the ones that are like that, but then again this happened before with Tekken 7 and 6 and so forth in the beginning. And even other games.
You do not speak for all the long-term fans, bro. Literally I see so many long-term bad fans on Twitter loving the game so I don’t know what friends you have. Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me because these international tournaments are still packed with players and even, tons of locals still happening and across the world so whatever
if tekken people are so high on hating chinese players, then they should remove all chinese characters and martial arts on the game, for fairness reason, you dont use other people culture but banned them on participating on the tournament
Tekken Devs LOVE the players and Harada got BandaiNamco to give 500 Tekken Cones as a refund for the stage they sold. There is an issue of a parent company and a development team. I want to support the Game and the team because i LOVE Tekken. it's the last 3D fighter and it's gameplay is great enough that it deserves to live dispite missteps by BAMCO..NOT the devs
@@blumiu2426 But before they became Bandai Namco, they were just plain ordinary Namco who made arcade hits like Pac-Man. Dig Dug, Galaga, and much more.
I still dont get why this is so bad, they are doing nothing different and nothing new. Just dont buy what you dont want. Want to learn how to beat a dlc character? Watch a video listing their moves and frame data, use that to find counter-play. Granted, It's not optimal, but its free. Ive only bought a couple cosmetics, Eddy, and tbats it. Zero issues.
If you played Tekken 7 past season 1, you would know that Tekken 8 was bound to disappoint and the initial success was only brought about by the fact that it's a 'new game with a decent story mode'. Tekken got so bad players were singing praises just because we got a decent story mode. They haven't made a single good decision for the franchise since T7 Akuma's release (which in itself is subjective). The game literally got worse from there and the only good moments of the Tekken franchise are made by players not the developers. Tekken is lucky there's no competition in the 3D FG because if there is, they'd be in serious trouble.
Tekken 7 story was not good. Kazumi and Akuma are not remotely relevant in Tekken 8, much less did it resolve anything that was supposed to. Either Akuma gave up or was killed by Kazuya, only explanation that makes sense if he somehow exists in that world and Kazuya is just fine. The retconning has ruined it as well as a forced global conflict that they depicted as maybe two or three dozen Tekken Force soldiers against unarmed fighters, Avengers style.
I would say Tekken 8 sucks because they have turned it into a 2D fighting game. That is the reason I dont play it (despite buying the complete version). I still stick to Tekken 7 which at least still pretends to be 3D.
Harada used to be one of those development leads that was against DLC in games, especially characters, he called them essential like Chess pieces to the board. Him and Rockstar games were like some of last adopters of DLC and predatory practices.
We need these companies to give us all info of what the game will include(micro-transactions, DLC, Season pass) that will cost fans of the game before the game comes out, not 6 months after. If they don't charge people for characters, costumes, stages and modes then should be OK to hide, just don't force us to pay after we get the game.
Sorry but it's getting a bit boring seeing *xyz is pathetic* on almost all your most recent videos, please create more of the videos you used to make before that had a more positive element to them. Thanks
if u take the west politics at face value -everyone is racist, everyone is sexist chinese player cant take part in an event -everyone proceeds to stand by this man and try there best to support him not everything is perfect.... but its also not always no where near as bad as people will try to convince u it is
I dont like playing online even in new titles. Dealing people brings added stress i own tekken 7 but when i feel like playing, I'll end up hooking up the ps1 and tekken 3. I couldn't get into even sf6 i hate the custom character with a passion my kids decided to setup and capcom would delete it so i just play sf5 it's less stressful and have the characters i actually like playing with old control settings that im used to since sf2. Online is an inconvenience for people who only want local multi-player.
The series died years ago, After tekken 3, Besides tekken tag tournament being an exception for being more like tekken 3, Moves and combos being replaced for poorer fighting system, And the storyline got sillier and unrealistic, The demon part i can get, A religious battle going along side modern religion, And all the greed in the end from season passes, Dlc, Real money needed to buy cosmetics or earning them, Slowly. Next they will add Nft's and other crap in it, Namco used to be a good company, Now it's trash. They need to release more variant games in terms of lightgun games, Etc they did during the arcade days 😔
The cohesiveness of the story and the retcons is what ruined the lore. It's had the devil in from the first game, the big thing that they can't get straight is if it's part of the subconscious or possession becomes genetic, as it was passed on. That is when we thought it was originated with Kazuya wanting revenge, paired with Genpaichi (retconned not to be origin of gene, but need for revenge causes devils to attract to you), but now it is from Kazumi. A character randomly made up for whatever reason and irrelevant after that game to be a part of a clan that has the gene. With as many people that have wanted revenged in Tekken roster, it only seems like Heihachi's offspring attract them.
@@blumiu2426 Kazumi's name was actually there carved on the floor in Heihachi's stage in Tekken 2, so she wasn't made up. While Jinpachi's name appeared in Wang's ending in the same game. I like how they eventually made appearance even though both were thought to be dead. But I do agree that lore retcons and constant changes to how the devil gene works is getting ridiculous. Now in the new side-story patch that involves Heihachi, it totally retconned how he survived the lava (underwhelming tbh) in Tekken 7 storyline and how there are suddenly a hidden group of people called Tekken Monks. Then Reina is actually part of the Hachijo clan that Kazumi was in. So yeah, it felt like a story relay where the story can go north or south 😐. Many other characters had hardly any time to shine and Azuka is still wasted in having a potential of a full Kazama lore.
@@necroheartplucker A name is a name, the story behind that name is the issue. That didn't change what I said about the retcon of the Devil gene for the second time. Kazumi having it goes against decades of what was said prior. Wait, what? How is Reina a part of the Hachijo clan? Heihachi bang two women from the same clan? Because in no possible way is she Kazuya's full sister. And I have no idea what to think of "Tekken" monks lol! Pulling stuff out of their butt like this is going to convolute the story to the point it collapses into itself because it will only raise questions of where were all these elements in prior games. How they could possibly overlook the only other Kazama is baffling, reduced to a rival character with a girl that has no point other than to be Asuka's rival. They did nothing with her after she was introduced and still nothing, not even acknowledgement by her or other characters given her Kazama blood. I heard Harada doesn't care about story/lore, whether true or not, all these issues are proving that to be true either way. Street Fighter is stagnant, but Tekken is poorly managed in that respect. They can't even decide in the same game if the devil is part of the subconscious or being of it's own (I say this because of Angel being Devil somehow, which was said to be with Kazuya the remaining good part of him battling the Devil). How do you banish someone's subconscious (Kazuya made no change) or banish a genetic trait?
@@blumiu2426 Exactly ! , Maybe he should have got baptised 😅 , Whilst at it, If heihachi and co all got themselves baptised, All this could have all been avoided ? 😅
Tekken 8 is bad game in itself. It gets very boring after a while with the heat system. They've killed the uniqueness it had with previous Tekken games.
They're not more transparent. People would have abandoned them if Tekken was Transparent about its scheme initially. People are just so attached to the game that they can't give it up. Its like a Hotel with gambling handing out free room stays. Anyone that accepted just getting that stage and continually playing didn't do anything to stop the exploitation because they've just been assimilated into the system by spending the Tekken Points on the Stage. They know now that stages will cost them money so they will need Tekken Points to get them. It will soon feel like nothing to spend worthless virtual currency.
We as gamers all need to band together and just boycott any price tags after the initial one for the game. Show them that its BG3 style or bust, the up front purchase price should cover the full ride, period.

How long do the sales last on instant gaming?
but you just told us of the problems with Tekken 8. Why would we buy it?
If you ever decide to cover censorship in fighting games. I can detail the censorships made from the first update. Including Censorship of colors, when it came to certain parts of clothing for females exclusively. The jiggle physics removal. And shrinking of bust sizes of the female characters. And lastly the censorship of certain words like "cleavage".
How I miss the good old days where you bought a game and got everything. Costumes and alternate colours were something you unlocked through gameplay.
Harada once said he would NEVER charge extra for DLC characters.
Saying, like chess, you need all the pieces available to both players.
That was 2012 and sadly much has changed since then.
If they didn't charge money for DLC characters then they'd drop support for the game after about a year. Unless you want the SF4 model again.
People ain't rich. That's why we are starting to hate games are becoming money sponges.
the scorn over the Street FIghter 6 and TMNT crossover is well deserved as not only are the skins abhorrently priced, but they are also only for the Avatar characters and not the main characters.
There's always option number 2;
Watch a video that lists her moves and frame data.
It's not exactly optimal, but it worked for me, and it's free.
Is there pirate way though? I mean, you already bought the full game right??
DLC that's ready soon after a games launch suggests that it was in development long before, and that feels odd to me
@@licksludgee I’m talking Tekken 6, 5, Tag Tournament 2… and earlier.
Extra characters were never included
Extra characters were locked behind "buy the game again in a year bozo"
Tekken 8 fiasco timeline
-Bamco introduce battlepass (which is basically just old cosmetics from tekken 7)after a month of its release. Basically they want to critics to praise the game before they add microtransaction
-After that they introduce the premium shop
-People realised Bamco still didn't know how to fix the plugging and cheating issue.
-The Murray Spreadsheet
-Launching Eddy as first DLC character. Which is obviously a cash grab
-The Sphere
-Attacking modders and their youtube channel
-Horrible matchmaking
-Free DLC episode (which was written poorly)
-4 dollar stage that is sold separately. Even people who biy the ultimate edition are going to buy it even though they are suppose to get all season 1 DLC for free
-Heihachi and his poorly written reintroduction to tekken 8. He is also sold separately. Another obvious cash grab
-Harada twitter apology
-He deleted it
-Present day
What's the Murray spread sheet?
Not to mention Russian and Chinese players being banned from Tekken World Tour
"Pays £250 for Ultimate + Collectors edition"
*No free costumes and accessories
*No free premium fight pass
*No free DLC's and stages
*No exclusive stuff for the Legendary edition buyers
This is straight up robbery. And I doubt they even used the stolen money on the game at this point because that last story DLC was the cheapest crap I've ever seen! (Looks like it was made at home)
Paying for a collector's edition of a modern fighting game is peak stupidity. You already know they'll have season passes for a decade.
The fact that Bamco introduced a premium shop in the game months after launch is plain disgusting. Thankfully platforms like Steam make it a little easier for customers to push back by changing their reviews afterwards.

Their announcement doesn't mention this. Instead, it states that "Pass owners will have access to the WINTER Battle Stage DLC". In effect this means, (1) Genmaji Temple still has to be bought by everyone, even character pass holders, (2) The free Stage for the character pass holders is the NEXT DLC set to release in winter.

Not to be that guy but yeah, I think most of us would have more respect for someone who is being truthful over someone who is a liar
Fighting games ALWAYS have a "honeymoon" phase when they first release. Only after riding that out with players find what the game truly is
You look so good in that cosplay
Waiting 3 days for delayed DLC was worst fighting game experience of my life.
I don't even like playing as Heihachi. Eddy should have been available at launch and I've no interest in Lidia. Tekken 8's DLC is a joke.
I like what you think ~
Tekken 8 is awesome but will they ever shut up about those damn controversies? And to me, it’s the few big budget games in recent memory that impressed me.
I don't know why people expected any better of Tekken 8 after the fiasco that was Tekken 7.
I remember Tekken 3... remember...

I buy games after many years after release to get the complete package with all updates and dlcs these days.
They need to. Alot of their game are flopping so hard so they can't risk to irritate another community again.
Why do you need extra cosmetics, there so much already in the game?
lol the fuck it is. This you're first tekken pal? You know nothing of this game.
You are the biggest idiot I've came across this entire year.
They did release a complete game though. The DLC is extra content.
@@1234_Flux If there's more to the game than you paid for, it isn't complete.
@@ManFromThePitsthats not how it works

Tekken 8 has the worst cheaters online.
No Lei. No Play.
It's that simple for me.
I can't believe they left him off the base roster TWICE!
There's been talk of another video game crash but what about a fighting game crash? Between ballooning budgets and increasingly egregious monetization practices they can't keep this up forever, eventually the fans will revolt and long running fighting game franchises will fall if they aren't able to adapt.
Tekken gives you fight money in the game that's basically worthless. I remember when costumes were free
Sadly the rank and online is riddled with moders spamers macro users and straight up cheating
Jesus can I go five minutes in the gaming community without a controversy.
It is not possible I'm afraid. :D

@@christianjeanbaptiste9441 yea, but part of that is they put a lot of prize money up for tournaments so of course people are gonna enter
@@christianjeanbaptiste9441well said 👏
You do not speak for all the long-term fans, bro. Literally I see so many long-term bad fans on Twitter loving the game so I don’t know what friends you have. Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me because these international tournaments are still packed with players and even, tons of locals still happening and across the world so whatever
@@christianjeanbaptiste9441lots of old school players don't like it, backdash is much weaker, too many forced mixup
if tekken people are so high on hating chinese players, then they should remove all chinese characters and martial arts on the game, for fairness reason, you dont use other people culture but banned them on participating on the tournament
"Controversy" surrounds too many games in recent times and for that I blame the Sarkeesians and IGNs of the world.
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
So awesome lady Decade!! Do Poison next!!!❤ Red Pumps and all!
Just a quick nod to you for the awesome videos. The video editing is really good too.
I liked it when Namco just made fun games like Dig Dug and the Pac-Man series.
They are Namco-Bandai, greater milker of Japanese IPs.
@@blumiu2426 But before they became Bandai Namco, they were just plain ordinary Namco who made arcade hits like Pac-Man. Dig Dug, Galaga, and much more.
Your reina cosplay is awesome 😊
I love Tekken 8 . I need to play the story still. I just beat up arcade move at the moment
Harada is a liar and he is the one that held off releasing the game on PS4, the better option. He knows I’m right because he blocked me on Twitter.
I love Tekken 8 still. Also love the outfit
Cossplay's & sits in chair like Reina,tears Tekken 8 apart 😂.
I would say Tekken 8 sucks because they have turned it into a 2D fighting game. That is the reason I dont play it (despite buying the complete version). I still stick to Tekken 7 which at least still pretends to be 3D.
owww shiiiiiiiittt tekken being racist to chinese players? dang it, thats the worst, xiaohai might be able to win the tekken tournament also lol
So I've caught your channel in my suggested for a while now. Decided to watch a few of your video's during the week and I have to say well done.
There's a tekken 8 controversy ?
nice Reina cosplay
Lady Century
Chinese citizens shouldn’t be punished for their government being shitty.
For real.
it's simple, If you don't like the Game Tekken 8 then don't play it. Play Street Fighter or MOrtal kombat or Mario cart or pinball.
Thanks
We get Reina Latina before GT-A 6 release
invasions is pure trash for MK1
if u take the west politics at face value
-everyone is racist, everyone is sexist
chinese player cant take part in an event
-everyone proceeds to stand by this man and try there best to support him
not everything is perfect.... but its also not always no where near as bad as people will try to convince u it is
I dont like playing online even in new titles.
Tekken 3 is still my fave Tekken. 👍🏼
Tekken 3 was awesome, so many unlockables in the base game at no extra cost, no dlc packs.
@@blumiu2426 Yeah i can kinda see that tbf !
@@blumiu2426 Exactly ! , Maybe he should have got baptised 😅 , Whilst at it, If heihachi and co all got themselves baptised, All this could have all been avoided ? 😅
Reiner is one of the prettiest female characters in the , you look like her there
Tekken 8 is bad game in itself. It gets very boring after a while with the heat system. They've killed the uniqueness it had with previous Tekken games.
I don't see Elden Ring or Baldur's Gate 3 having a battle pass
i hope this is not propaganda to get rid of Harada who hated by DEI and SJW.
This is an amazing video, I love it and the outfit
We as gamers all need to band together and just boycott any price tags after the initial one for the game. Show them that its BG3 style or bust, the up front purchase price should cover the full ride, period.
