Thanks mate, yes that stat had me triple checking it because it just didn't seem correct when I picked up on it. But typical QPR... it is! I think this could be the year, we will certainly be in the game and have a chance!
QPR and Preston have very similar records so far this season, but I hope we come out on top at home this Saturday. Good shout out also to Mark Prince during your show. I knew him years ago. I agree that it is great how he has turned tragedy into helping other people avoid knife crime. U RRRs!!!
If we come out on top on Saturday we can perhaps start to look up the table rather than down and maybe mid-table becomes a real possibility this season which seemed a pipe dream a month ago! Mark Prince is a hell of a guy, hard not to be touched when he speaks.
@cb1onthe1 I saw him on BBC Breakfast and was both touched and amazed he could speak so well about knife attacks, all the while remembering Kieran (who must be immensely proud of his dad)! On paper this has all the hallmarks of a draw on Saturday, but (as when talking about Norwich) it is a question of which QPR side turns up. Let's hope for a positive one that wins!
I think he's coped tremendously well and shown unbelievable character, I enjoy and admire his sincerity and passion for life, yourh, positivity etc etc BUT have knife crime statistics gone up down or remained the same? There's obviously some deep rooted cultural problems around knife crime and if people want it to truly stop or change it's cultural, there's an idea it's an inner city poverty related situation but there's been worse poverty with as much access to knifes/weapons all throughout history so the question is why now, I really hope things change
Paul Smyth - Goal Of The Season. Like you I don't think we will lose against Preston, but think it will be either 0 - 0 or 1 - 1. I will be hoping for a QPR win though so :- Come On You R's!!!!!
I think your right to be cautious about our recent form even marti said post match last week, we only ever a poor defeat away from going on another negative run. Big game tomorrow a positive win suddenly leaves us looking up in the table,
Indeed it still feels like we are on a knife edge and could go either way. Lose a few and it will be panic stations again. At least we closer to January now and we have not only got back in touch but have given ourselves a little breathing space and margin for error. That was a dream just a month ago.
QPR v Preston. Surely the archetypal Champ fixture? Agree very close game Saturday. A win would be huge going into Xmas. Let’s hope they gift us something as it’s the appropriate time of year. Re Saito, I think in the Watford game he went central for a bit (or found himself there on a couple of occasions). He took the ball on the half turn from defenders a couple of times, left his man and took us up the pitch. We’ve been crying out for that so wonder if he could play central? He’s a quality player. Don’t know what his contract situation is at his parent club but have a feeling any value might be beyond what we could afford.
Yes a match doesn't sum up The Championship much more than Preston Vs QPR. Feels like we've both been here forever! Saito also went central quite a lot away at Cardiff, but that is pretty much the only place we'd found suits Madsen, and I can't see him dropping Madsen. So it restricts where we can fit in Saito and Chair when they are all fit. I'm pretty sure we have an option on Saito like we did for Dembele but it's odd we already confirmed one and not the other.
@ I don’t know but I’m honestly not sure we do re Saito. We’ll have to see I suppose. Madsen has got a bit better but it’s marginal. If Saito did well in there you never know. Having said that Madsen is our player so they’ll want him to try and develop in our league. Sitting in the bench won’t do that.
@@jeremywalter1308 I've found the WLS article and they seem to think we have the option to sign Saito permanent www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-dembele-saito-moves#google_vignette
@jeremywalter1308 you do not want to lose the tangible benefits Saito offers the team, so somehow we need to include him and Chair. Perhaps we need to go to a 3-5-2, with Chair up front alongside the striker, and Madsen deeper? The problem with that is leaving the defence more exposed, so those not involved in an attacking play need to cover for the others....
@@bryanfisher4521 A change of formation could work, but Marti has rarely deviated from 4 at the back. Also we know Madsen doesn't really work anywhere other than a 10. It's a headache for Marti for sure once everybody is fit!
@@chrisrovai9625 They don't often lose by more than the odd goal. We know from the past Preston are masters of the dark arts, time wasting and getting in the refs ear etc, so it's vital we don't fall behind that's for sure.
