- Beryl is roaring through the Caribbean currently with 150mph maximum sustained winds. It should remain a major hurricane for several more days. There are concerns where it will head once it reaches the Gulf of Mexico this weekend.
Watching from Dominica, those country that have been devastated by this hurricane, we Dominicans really feels your pains,we can say we knows what it's like.

I’ve been a Meteorologist since 1986 although unofficially retired now. Looking at the upper level winds and deep water temperatures, I believe it’s possible for this hurricane to get darned close to a cat-5 on Tuesday evening or Wednesday but my prediction only gives it a 20% chance of doing so. I’m much more concerned about Florida and the eastern seaboard in early August onward particularly if we don’t have significant high pressure in the middle to upper Atlantic.
