I love cake. I’ve crocheted a small sized on without the structure/addition of the plastic…yours is so nice and neat and FUNCTIONAL. Mine is cute, kinda lumpy, and just stuffed with polyfil. Le sigh. OH MY GOD i just had an idea... if you ever decide to make something like this again, you could make a tiered cake! you could make like three cylinders with different circumference, each with a matching lid, and then you could crochet the outside like you did in this one. you could also have more space to put stuff inside!! I think you could definetely do something like that omg this is amazing

I can never get enough of crocheted cakes! I had a similar idea to make a cake themed cover when I saw the perfect little boxes at dollar tree. As for losing your needles - may I suggest a magnetic pin holder? My grandma has one for her sewing pins/needles but I know that hardware stores sell little magnetic bowls that do the same thing!
