Ernie, great meeting you yesterday in Phoenix! (I was the guy wit the dog over his shoulder). Thanks for letting me stop you while at work to say hi, you're a class act. Made my day!
It's so nice to see you again. Hope you & yourz had a blessed Christmas.Yep, SWA is great for being on time.I will miss bot flying her anymore. Happy New Year.😉👋❤️💙💛✈️✈️
@FlyingwithBigErn, Happy Holidays, man! This was a fun video, and I really liked the "breadcrumbs" graphics that showed the '37's progress and position. Briefing the crew about the expected flying conditions back to PHX was well done. I also liked the way you put on "devils' horns" and razzed Mark(?) about the milkshake until he finally caved! 😂 See you in the next video, Air Brother! 😉
I had 2 days sim(training+ LPC) just before xmas, then working xmas, as well as new years eve. Won the jackpot this year. Merry xmas and happy new year.
Thank you for the videos! Very motivating! You have to remember that everything in Texas is big! If you ask for a small it’s going to be Texas big size. Currently at age 49 and trying to hurry up and build flight hours and get my ratings and just heard that SW 225 program opens up January 2nd.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hoping to join destination 225 in 2025. Keeping humble hungry for it. Was surprised to see a video in Austin without Salt Lick!!!
Great video as always! Talking about the rides in this video, not sure when this was filmed, but man the last 5 days across the Western US have been absolutely brutal. I know up in Salt Lake Center we got absolutely blasted on Friday. That shear zone was horrific and rides were bad all over the place. If A350's are saying straight severe turbulence, it has to be baaaaddddd.
Meanwhile at OMA its been crazy with our operations from very dense fog along the Missouri River to planes breaking down, to weather in Dallas and the Southeast US and short staffed for the holidays to working long hours I survived the peak of holiday season and hoping for a quieter January and February before passenger traffic picks up again in March for Spring Break.
Hi Big Ern! Would you happen to know what kind of engine was shut down in the background at the 8:28 time stamp? I was on a WN flight last month and while we waited to deplane I heard that same sound once or twice. I thought it might have been an APU or a GPU. Any idea?
I don't what's worse, greasy or sticky. Get some beef ribs from Franklin's BBQ in Austin without washing your hands and then take control of the yoke: )
Good morning Captain 👨🏽✈️, I’m pilot Miguel, nice to meet you and I love your videos and really educating me to be a pilot, so do you use navigraph chats, or ForeFlight? I hope you have a great New Year even!

So good meeting you too! Thank you for saying hi!
Really liked the flight following and the mapping with the overlay of atc on your flight. Great format!!!!
Your videos are very enjoyable to watch. The milkshakes looked amazing.

Another nice flight Ern...love your overlays on the flight progress...

Merry Christmas, Ernie. Thanks for all of the content this year!
I love your food recommendations wherever you fly. ❤
I was just in AUS! Went to Franklin BBQ, which was awesome! Haven't been on one of your flights yet, but hopefully soon!

Love your videos big Ern!
I appreciate that!
Great video Ernie
Happy New Year
One of the humblest guys on YT. Love these vids! Have a safe and Happy New Year BigErn!
I stopped following a couple other guys who were just real tools. Just wanted to argue. Ern is someone I'd love to fly with any day.
Happy Holidays and safe flying, Captain Cool.
Happy New Year Ernie!

You seem to fly with awesome FOs 👍
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year BigErn.
Love the Video's, 1) Question Navy or Air force landing or the typical Navy Pilot response GREASED.
got to get some of that terry blacks bbq

Fantastic video...as usual! Thanks Big Ern.
I appreciate the feedback!
I was boarding a flight recently and looked at the cockpit and they were eating and thought of this channel 😂
Cool job 🤙🏾
I like the necktie!

Ernie, you're what's known as a food pusher! Poor Mark didn't have a chance.
Always wonder how the flight attendants briefing was. Thx
They do one in the briefing room before the departure, then last minute in cabin.
Thanks ❤🏠🏠
Hey Captain BigErn, it's hard to tell from the last few 737 videos if You are holding a regular line or on Reserve? 🤔 No matter, always entertaining 😎
Great question. I hold a line but was able to clear my schedule and pickup mostly turns for the month. 👍🏽
Future Southwest Airlines pilot👨✈️
Would love to fly on your routes. How often do you come in/out of MDW or ORD?
BigErn's sure making a lot of Austin turns these days, no more East Coast?
Fried chicken residuals on the yoke?
Why did they give you backtrack I have seen this happen at Denver a few times. Let me know if you are going to Denver anytime soon
Nashville Hot Yoke 😂
Greasy plane from the BWI Chic Fil A
I didn’t know Giancarlo Esposito became a pilot
⛪️
One downside to flying cargo. Listening to pax pilots keep asking about ride reports😅
👋🏻KSRQ☀️🌴🇺🇸✈️
He always mentions going to Starbucks. I wonder how much Starbucks pay him for the plug?
Tacodeli eveytime @ AUS
Sounds delicious!
