No one ever wants to, but that is modern warfare. The artillery crews and bomber pilots are probably clueless what they are hitting. I doubt any military officers will tell them after a fire mission "Sorry Sergei we got some bad intel and you just took out a school at session, 68 kids died. mea culpa".
Nobody "wants" to hurt kids. War have always unfortunate unwanted civilian casualties. Stop the hysteria.

Brother this war is not fought for the interest of Ukrainians, so, encouraging them to continue fighting can't help them. We are living peacefully in our countries while them are suffering, the best way to help them is to tell them to negotiate with Russia and start living as they were living before. More needs to be done now to avoid more lives being destroyed. For me empathy is one key to this solution.

The will to defend their land is amazing. Imagine what they could do with enough weapons. If all we're going to do is fight a proxy war between tyranny and liberty let's at least not cut corners.
For us it's a proxy war, for Ukraine, it's a matter of survival. And I agree, it's time to stop slow walking this and arm Ukraine properly so they can win this war sooner rather then later.

Yeah I agree horrible for these Ukrainians to live in a war situation created by their larger neighbour that called himself their brother. Horrible for my friend that in 2014 the separatist tried to take over her city which caused a battle for the city, luckily won by the Ukrainians, and that now again her city is being targeted. She is pro Ukrainian and loves the country btw.
Not to mention that the casualties of 8 years of war in Donbass on both sides combined are not even close to the civilian casualties on thr Ukrainian side only since February 24th. Leaving out military casualties on both sides. The Russians and their proxies have killed a considerable amount of Donbass civilians more since February 24th alone than Ukraine in the 8 years of wars (most casualties then also being in the first years). Not to mention that the Pro Russian forces have killed magnitudes of more civilians if you count all the Ukrainian civilians killed since February 24th.
It is more like a girl getting raped by a bully and his smaller friend, trying to defend herself and cutting the smaller friend and then the bully killing her because she hit the smaller friend. Then saying that she was the aggressor and you just defended the smaller guy.
Ukraine is the victim and no twisting of facts will change that. I know it is a Russian thing to always play the victim. They do it now, and they do it about ww2. Casually forgetting about the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and the fact they invaded Finland and Poland and annexed Besserabia, Bucovina and the Baltic States. Not to mention the fact they tried to join the axis.
Russians just took over a HUGE gap of land on the Kherson front. Something like 20 villages just switched on the map.

What? You can literally see names of veteran officers, ncos, and so on. You can by yourself verify that veteran combat forces are still deployed and combat effective just by looking at emblems. If Ukraine had such weak fighting force then why is the Russian flag ship in the water? Why were Russian special forces repelled at every turn? There is no way Ukraine can prevail without a peace settlement. They are running out of weapons and trained military and support from the west is slowing. The Kherson offensive has fizzled and Ukraine hasn’t the resources to make territorial gains.
Biden is a genius. He gave weapons to Ukranians Nationalists, got them to invade the Donbass telling them Russia wouldn't do a thing about it because it feared NATO. Very sad and moving. UA not getting enough arms or ammo to achieve tactical superiority on any front, meaning there will be no offensive or counter-offensive soon, if ever, against the Russians. Time is working against the Ukrainians as well the Russians because next year, Western politicians will be less willing/able to aid Ukraine to the required degree ( which is even more than what they are currently doing!). Ukraine herself is broke and could soon be facing hyperinflation, on top of everything else she's enduring.
I know many will not like this conclusion....I myself do not like it. But I foresee this further ordeal for Ukraine in which she is still undefeated with the will to continue, but without the arms and funds to do so.
Spraying whole areas with artillery in modern times denotes 1. lack or technological sophistication and operational capacity 2. stone age butcher mentality.
It is easy to extrapolate that if the state of this perpetrator is such, it would not survive the most insignificant special operation from a more capable oponnent. The Ukranians are holding up well under the circumstances. God bless them.

The talk about taking back Kherson had been going on for some time now.
i took some very historical photos of Kherson 22 year ago. Just yesterday, i was looking at some of the photos i took of the government buildings and monuments around Kherson back in 2000. There were a lot of USSR Era monuments all around the city. There was a huge Lenin statue in front of the Kherson Administration Building. It was taken down shortly after i moved out of the city. While i was living there, the government was taking them all down and erased the old Soviet past. You can say it was a deMarxification of Ukraine. The Soviets in Russia and Eastern Ukraine are now pissed that happened and you can see why they want to "deNazify" Ukraine
So you say to take down old monuments that some russians wouldnt want to go away - No matter how good the reason is to put them down - is a naziesque behavior?
