When I was getting my insurance in Ohio, they asked if I wanted the Hawk policy. I told them I'm not very worried about birds, but after they explained, I quickly signed with a sharpie.

The funniest thing is thinking about a massive guy like AJ flying around trying to get a one timer from 9 year olds. Shows how cool of a guy he is. Those kids must have had a blast.
AJ, please go get it checked out. My brother got a similar injury playing hockey and he eventually developed a staph infection in his elbow. He was hospitalized for almost a week, we thought we were gonna lose him.
Any sized wound can get infected and so many people ignore small cuts. I had a serious infection in my finger. No visible wound. No idea it was infected. The pain just started to get worse and worse to the point I finally saw a doctor. I was actually at first, embarrassed to complain that my “slightly swollen finger” was so painful. Ended up in the ER, by then the pain was doubling by the hour. The infection was in the tendon sheath and the swelling inside was causing pressure on the tendon. Luckily the IV antibiotics started to work fast enough I didn’t need surgery to release the pressure. Compartment damage was a serious concern. Still can’t believe how the pain escalated so suddenly.

I feel your pain AJ. I played roller hockey once, once. I did the river dance, fell backwards with my right arm extended behind me, and fucked my upper arm and shoulder up. Hasn’t been the same since. That was 22 years ago.

When I was a kid playing outdoor hockey in Canada we would almost always wear elbow pads. The first time you fall right onto your elbow and it kills for hours on end is one of those painful lessons you get to learn up here
