I used to live in Toothill 17 years ago, and I`ve been living in Norway ever since. Not been back to Swindon at all. So thanks for posting this, it was great fun seeing how it looks now, and what things that have changed. 😊
Fleming Way was the old canal to Oxford that is why you have the Whale Bridge over it and Bridge Street as the main shopping road and if you go out towards Shrivenham you will pass through the Acron Bridge which had the road through the left arch and the canal through the right arch. Fleming way also had the Garrard turntable factory next to it
Just avoid the town center and you will be a okay! 👌 the Brunel is probably the only best place to go shopping and maybe greenbridge. The northern Swindon is good as well and the old town shop area. Swindon town center is for the third world people, very run down and Islamic in a way?
Hi, yes there is few places to visit such as the. Swindon Museum & Art Gallery. STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway. Richard Jeffries Museum. Plus Swindon is quite close to the Cotswolds. I hope this helps. Also thanks for watching our video!
Swindon is now under alot of works town centre the start of this video the traffic lights are not there and the car park is gone you need to film it now and look at Swindon again
Good video showing what a dreary run-down place Swindon really is. It’s a very ugly town, a place I try to avoid, other than the designer outlet Center.
Why is that uk town centres look all the same in city/town centres? Majority of them have this dreary look to them, if u tell them to modernise and widen the roads, they will be calling for your head, living standards are so shit in this country
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I was anxious to come to this city because of many reviews like the one you posted but I'm happy to witness a calm kid friendly city instead.. queen's parc and the playground in designer outlet especially are great. All the shops you need are there, oxford and the cotswolds close enough. No complains from me. Except the weather...
@@afreen9288 it is a town not a city and it is very rough now try coming so time this week good luck if you see more than 12 shops open in the town center ..
This is really well done. Good views of Swindon Centre, the shopping area.

I lived in Toothill 43 years ago, 7 Beverly near the Toot and Whistle which Ive been told is now closed.

I was last there 43 years ago. Interesting to see as it is now. Sad to see many shops closed though. Thanks for the video.

I moved to Swindon from Southend-on-Sea and the town centres in both are very similar - rather run down, but still generally OK!

Curious how the managers of The Parade still haven't removed the Top Shop and Debenhams banners!
Nice beautiful walking!Thank you very much!Have a wonderful week!
It's interesting that as soon as you see Swindon on video, you realise what a rundown place it is lol.
I do agree that the town centre could do with some improvements. But never the less it’s still a nice place 👍
@@KevinTheCountryman Nice place??? Don't make me laugh 😂😂😂😂
It looks dreadful. Heart and soul ripped out many many years ago.

5:08I can't believe the bus road above The Parade is going to be closed off for at least 2 years
There is anything else to see in Swindon apart of a shopping centre? Perhaps a museum or any historic building worth visiting?
