6:57 is the most insane riff in this lesson. I remember seeing the tab for it in the magazine as a kid and being blown away that a tab could even look that crazy
If you are a guitar teacher like I am... this is gold. The kids learn their scales and arpeggios... not to mention picking. And DAVE MUSTANE is a master of TASTE. All these guys are incredibly accomplished at their chosen genre. I don't judge genre anymore...just quality. Plenty of that in this vid.
Dude no way, Matt and Corey are some of the most creative and tight guitarists in metal today. Listen to their album Shogun. I still use mostly all of those riffs as "reference" riffs when I jam around haha.
Glen Drover has an interesting approach with his picking hand. I've never seen anyone grip a pick like he does. Also, the first half of this video had some of the tightest riffing I've heard in a while.
The first riff of Adler remember me the Exodus/Gary Holt style.
I love how Willie holds his pick.
His hand is like a gun.
the Willie Adler riff and the Fredrik Akesson riffs were the best.
i've seen this video so many times just to hear those
everything this guy comes up with is genius
Willies hand looks like a spider crawling up and down the neck so cool
when pentatonic title came i knew instantly that Mustaine and Amott will be tutoring
i will remember that old school riff for the rest of my life
This is by far, my favourite "shred" video.
It's made of pure awesomeness !!!
Mark Morton is so freaking cool
"I just came up with this riff five minutes ago" and its freaking awesome
i worship him

Matt and Corey from Trivium rocked them ALL in that lesson...I don't even care; they freakin' rocked!
he is fucking amazing,
i love his style and he is super fast
any esp shaped like a les paul is considered an eclipse...i think lol
triviums guitarists play kick ass stuff and it looks effortless when they do it
Marks first riff is pretty much Toxic Waltz... and the new school version he did of it makes me want to give props to his right hand technique.
fredrik's riff from enemy is very sick!
i completely concur that man is insane

Dude no way, Matt and Corey are some of the most creative and tight guitarists in metal today. Listen to their album Shogun. I still use mostly all of those riffs as "reference" riffs when I jam around haha.
Frederik's 4:10 sounds like the intro to the Zelda: A Link to the Past opening theme.
willie is the best
God of Guitar
I love morton's tone...fuck...it's awesome
that guy from arch enemy is really good
I really like your chord way.
=)
Arch Enemy owns dude...
damn fredriks got a sick riff
Glen Drover just refuses to use his pinky...
mustaine you legend

SWEEP-PICKING DUDE.
The Hangover Riff is a riff from the song Heartwork by Carcass.
i love Amotts first part of the video

Jesus is still spinnin from last night. XD
fredrik or willie's riffs were THE best but i love every other players as well.

Mikael Akerfeldt probably saw this video and was like, "So lets call Frederik Akkeson, he seems like he's able to beast a guitar."
