Beautiful drawings and paintings! I'm using 5 sketchbooks plus a tiny notebook that I use as a sketchbook too. I also draw on loose craft paper and then glue it on one of my A4 sketchbooks. Thank you for sharing! 😊
I love your art! I use a lot too, since I use different ones for different media. I really like the Royal Talens Art Creation sketchbooks because I can use watercolour, gouache, coloured pencils, etc on the paper. It works very well, and they are inexpensive, so I feel less pressure. I also enjoy making my own sketchbooks with all different paper types in them!
I've never tried the royal talens one... Maybe in the future, but right now I have to many + some I received as gift are still waiting on the shelves..
Oh, I guess I have 2 very beautiful Etchr books for the really nice things I try to make. Some 100 percent cottons from Hahnemuhle in different sizes, a few nostalgia from Hahnemuhle in different sizes, and some everyday scetchbooks from Hahnemuhle. For my markers I have a Rodia touch. It is bleeding through. UA-cam lady Lindsay Weirich did vlog about a scetchbookfloozy a few months ago. Since then different UA-camrs did talk about their scetchbooks and about 35 books isn’t crazy at all. So I think with the seven you have in use at the moment it’s pretty decent.
Yes 7 are running but I do have many finished 😂😊 I try to keep the number as low as possible if I want to commit to finishing them! Wow you really seem to love hahnemühle! I prefer the pulp paper for price to quality ratio tho
Great content and lovely art, as always! I have 4 sketchbooks that I'm regularly using. I have one "ugly/experimental" sketchbook for experimenting, doodling, and practising. I use many different mediums in it, which is quite chunky. I have one "pretty" sketchbook to create "pretty" and finished artwork. I basically re-create some of the sketches I draw in my "ugly/experimental" in my pretty sketchbook. I also keep a sketchbook where I draw the characters of a story I've been working on. I design the characters and costumes, draw the maps and settings, and take notes about the story. Lastly, I have a visual journal where I draw how I feel and also write my thoughts about my mood swings, reflections on my experiences, past events, thoughts lingering on my mind, etc. I guess I'm less concerned about how well a sketchbook takes different mediums, and I don't mind paper buckling, even though I enjoy experimenting with gouache, acrylic, and ink. Also, I heavily use graphite pencils and coloured pencils, which are gentle with any paper.
Which brand is the watercolor bigger one? I have a sketchbook for nude portraits, one for Inktober or ink art, one for women art and I finish my favorite that is Fabriano Venezia A3. But I admire you for your courage to paint in all situation you live out of office…I definitely decide to do the same thing 😊 Oh i I a sketchbook with all my colors swatched (marker, watercolors, inks, graphites and charcoals. Thank you for your videos is everyone sooo interesting 😊
Ale 🤗 thank you for your nice message. I should have a swatches collection too, but I just do it randomly and not every time 😅 I forgot to mention in the video that many people do actually like to divide sketchbooks by topic, like you do. The big one is hahnemühle 100% cotton. Small sketchbooks I have always with me for a few sketches before going to bed 😴
Io uso uno hahnmuhle per studi acquerello , un leuchtrum per allenamento ritratti e figura umana a matite e grafite , uno matite colorate e a breve inizierò uno per le gouache e uno fantasy devo prima finire alcune cose 🙏
Great video! I currently have one sketchbook. It cost so much because of the paper in it that I only used for doing pieces that I am going to gift people (a mistake to buy an expensive sketchbook because I am having to cut out the pages). I heard the Ohuhu Pad is great for markers but I think it might still bleed through just a little. Where did you buy the Renesans Sketchbook? I noticed it has perforated pages, perfect for removing out.
I recommend inexpensive sketchbooks / many pages to feel free to experiment and make mistakes! The ohuhu ones are a good compromise for that. Yes, markers still bleed through, but they made a pad for that, which is not bleeding. Also I have now a spiraled ohuhu which has perforated pages. The renesans one is cotton and not perforated, but it's a great travel watercolor sketchbook because it's very light - I made a sketchbook tour of it, you can find it on the channel.
@illustrazionidilut Thanks for getting back to me. Have you tried the Khadi sketchbooks? They come with like 30-40 pages but are hard to find unless you live in the UK.
I'm actively using 3 sketchbooks. One is paul rubens , their smallest watercolor sketchbook, I think its 10*15cm or so. I use it for quick watercolor sketches ( plain air, household interiors, window views etc). The second one is watercolor cotton hahnemule, A5, NOT a big fan of this one, but I always like the end result, so whatever😂. I use that hahnemule sketchbook for watercolor sketches of masterpieces (btw a it's great way to study artists, and their artwork, and art history). Third one I'm actively using is mixed media etcher (same as yours i think), in A4 . I use it for study of future works (watercolor, acrilic), and also if I go through tutorial or something.
@@illustrazionidilut I guess, cold press Arches set the standards very high, and I always expect more from cotton paper, especially at the price point!
This is fascinating, thank you for sharing ☺☺

I think a good option is a low quality big sketchbook to collect all the small sketches around! Thank you for watching ✨

Thanks for your point of view! It's nice that you have a sketchbook to upgrade your sketches :D and thanks for the compliment!
Sketchbooks 🎉🎉🎉 I was thinking before that 1 is enough) but with experience you really need more different art supplies and sketchbooks
The paper you use, size format and characteristics make such a huge difference! Plus it's a boost for creativity

@anastasiagoreva9239 I guess you can't expect same characteristics of cotton pads from a sketchbook... Maybe best solution there it's making your own.
