    Does the A6 have a shorter cargo area? Looks like the Xp has a bit more space.

    Just like the site says 1500w motor and its actually 760w, I assume its the same with the UL battery. I don’t know. Maybe it just says that but not sure if it is accurate

    I just got mine today, it felt awkward riding it. I will need to adjust stuff, I felt like the front handle bars kept coming out of alignment with the wheel. I need to stiffen shocks and put seat up higher. But also I am a big boy that cant ride most ebikes due to my weight and this thing moved me about 18mph on a flat throttle only, up a hill at 12 mph with very little peddling, I think it would have moved me about 10mph throttle only if in the right gear. Potholes hit hard. I ordered 2 battery bike shipped with just frame battery and told waiting for the others to come back into stock.

    I've been looking at this AiPAS but I live in a very hilly city so I wish it was a mid drive for its ability to use the rear gear cluster and superior torque.

    • @ElectricVehicleSpace

      It will do well on hill. Just pedal.

    • @Waltkat
      @Waltkat 5 місяців тому +1

      @@ElectricVehicleSpace That's easy to say for people with fully functional knees. I have degenerative arthritis in my knees so being able to select a lower gear ratio to help the motor out helps me get up the steep hills around these parts. I've ridden two different hub drive ebikes (RadRover and Super 73) and both had problems going up steep hills. The RadRover was a little better because its peddling ergonomics are good and the Super 73 was just plain awful. Ended up having to get off the Super and push it up some of the hills using the throttle to help. And because most hub drives use cadence sensors rather than torque sensors, power response to the wheel is hurky jerky and not very smooth. All that being said, I'd still consider getting the AiPAS A6 because it costs 1/3rd of what a good mid drive cargo ebike costs.

    • @ElectricVehicleSpace
      @ElectricVehicleSpace  5 місяців тому

      @@Waltkat Just replace the rear cassette for bigger gears or smaller chain ring and you will increase torque by a lot.

    • @Waltkat
      @Waltkat 5 місяців тому

      @@ElectricVehicleSpace I realize that, but it'll only help me, not the motor. As I said, hub motors can't make use of a bikes gearing system. A mid drive, on the other hand can.

    Just a far better design. For range it would be easy to swap out that rear battery … maybe up to 25ah without compromising the balance of the bike. Only losing 2 mph on that throttle hill climb is really impressive as is near enough 30mph.

    Wow, imagine you take a book like Harry Potter, make some tweaks to it and sell the new improved version. This is what Aipas A6 did. They ripped off someone else's work and people shill their stolen design without any morale issues.
    Aipas operated like an asian company steal, resell and profit. 20x3 inch wheels like on the Lectric? Again ripped off. Lectric website claims to have UL cert for their batteries on XP. Also the A6 specs on the website are different in different places, more signs they are just making this stuff up. Since you have both, what is the model number of the hub/controller are they the same?
    On a positive note, you did at least show the XP and talk about differences. Just watched someone else's review and they did not even mention the XP. Aipas can't be trusted. What is their UL cert number? Is it on the bike or battery? The cert number can be looked up on the UL site, if it exists.
    Are their other bikes copies of other peoples work?

    • @ElectricVehicleSpace

      @@ElectricVehicleSpace Well, the web page only lists sales office in usa. As to legality, it would depend on Electric's contract with them. If this story is even true.
      I liked the improvements of forks, horn and turn signals, but the specs on their web page are all over the place and not consistent. At the very least they are sloppy, if not just spinning fictional specs.
      Is there a UL cert number on the bike? battery or manual? If not, I would not trust that it's a real UL cert.
      Happen to know the Chinese manufacturer name? Just curious.

      AiPAS is a brand owned by Galaxy Bicycle, which is a bike OEM/ODM that has been manufacturing bikes since 2013. It manufactured 400,000 bikes + 80,000 ebikes in 2021, and says that it has the capacity to manufacture 600,000 bikes + 150,000 ebikes per year. It is rumored that Galaxy makes bikes for Lectric, and since it is a bike ODM, it may have helped Lectric to design the Xpedition as well. If that rumor is true, then it appears to me that Galaxy deserves to make some of the profits by selling direct to the consumer.
      If we want to talking about copying other people's work, Ross Evans at Xtracycle was the first to commercialize a long-tail cargo bike in 1998, and all the other bike manufacturers copied his ideas. Lectric openly says in interviews that it looked at the cargo bikes made by Tern and Rad Power when designing the Xpedition, so should we accuse Lectric of copying them?
      As I see it, the A6 solves some of the deficiencies with the Xpedition (no front suspension, no break light, no turn signals, loud motor, poor weigh distribution of the batteries in the back with the cargo) and offers it at a lower price. People who want better service and support from local bike shops will chose Lectric, but people who don't need thatsupport have a cheaper option with AiPAS.
