I have over 5000 commuter miles on my Lectric 2.0. I love it. I’m 68 years old with a 25-mile round-trip daily commute and couldn’t do it on a non-motorized bike. It’s great not paying for gas and it’s a nice ride for me along the ocean.

I say buy a Lectric brand with confidence. Last year I purchased the 2.0 Lectric eBike. I have nothing to compare it to as this is my first and only eBike so far. That said, I'm very happy with my eBike, and highly impressed with Lectric and how responsive they've been consistently. Short support story. In October this year, suddenly my eBike would not power on. I did my own basic troubleshooting and decided to reach out to Lectric support. It was about 3pm(ish) on a Saturday right before Columbus day Monday. So I decided NOT to call, I figured late Saturday we probably would not get far anyway, so I decide to write a detailed email of what I was experiencing and what I'd tried so far. I sent the email thinking I'd follow up with a phone call Monday or Tuesday morning, and reference the email. Once sent, I started focusing on some other chores around the RV (I'm a fulltime RVer) and (no kidding) about *15 minutes* after I sent the email my phone was ringing. I looked at my phone and I could see it was Lectric calling me. I answered, and the lady on the other end explained she'd read my email, and asked if I was near the eBike and interested in walking through some troubleshooting steps. I told her: "That was fast! I didn't expect a call back today". She responded with: "I knew we (Lectric) were getting ready to close for the long weekend, and figured I should see if I could get you going before everyone goes home." I'll say she was VERY knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. She helped me identify that the controller/screen had gone bad, and said that they'd ship me out a replacement no charge. The part showed up in a reasonable amount of time, I installed it, and I'm back on the road. With service like that, it's hard to want to go with anyone else. The eBike is great, and with the high fuel prices these days, I use it more than ever. So for me it has real utility.

My experience with Lectric is that their communication is very poor. Out of all the emails, site forms, etc., I've sent them, they've replied to just one. When I tried calling them, the automated reply said wait time at that time was at least one hour. I've read where others have had the same experience. Not good.

Nice review. I am a bicycle expert, raced professionally, ride 10,000 miles a year, ridden seriously for 54 years now, know bikes very well, expert mechanic. I researched the Ebike market for 7 years before finally buying last week. I finally choose a LectricXP3.0. One of the few companies I trust, with RAD being the other (trust as not money grabbers). Both companies are new to bikes, I say bikes because Ebikes use 90% of the bicycle industry for parts and design. I waited for the biggest problems of Ebikes to be addressed but gave up. Just like I gave up on conventional bicycles being designed for the 21 century decades ago. Wheels, tires, and chains are the weakest parts of any bike. There is only one tire manufacturer today that makes a serious tire for traveling, the Schwalbe 2 inch wide Marathon Plus tire. All other tires are toys and will go flat from objects as small and weak as a thorn. Next the wheels break spokes after just a few thousand miles, I waited for a 20inch solid wheel or HEAVY gage spokes like a motorcycle wheel, but they never came. Besides those mistakes that all Ebike and bike companies fail to address, you are correct, the Lectric is the best value for a quality bike at a great price. I don't own a car, and need a cargo bike around town, so my XP3.0 has all the racks and baskets, making this the strongest bike for cargo I have ever owned...no conventional bike is designed for cargo, not even touring bikes, conventional bikes for cargo are a gigantic joke of the bike industry. The other reason is I am now 65 years old and live in mountain country, riding short trips in town up long steep grades doesn't allow me to warm up my knees, this Lectic is going to be a life saver. I have written Lectric and advised them to stay focused on the one model like they have been, refining, and supporting all parts replacements for all years. Proprietary parts of each Ebike company is very important to talk about and must be available for at least 10 years from purchase...we shall see on this one. Most people find out Ebikes are a disposable toy, friends from church have $3000.00 in Ebikes sitting in their garage, dead, and no parts available, the company is out of business. $3000.00 is still a lot of money to people in retirement, they had to go back to work part time after their Ebike fiasco.

Many videos I watch the bike is a pile of parts. 2) a quality ebike at that price allowed me to spend $300 on needed add ons. A good lock, a pack/panniers for stuff, mirror and suntour ncx suspension seatpost is as good as rear suspension.

Black Friday sale on the Premium is $1600.00 and you get extras. The Tourney derailleur is not the best choice for the XPremium. First thing I swapped was from the Tourney to the Altus short cage derailleur for a much better working system. Keep in mind, a mid drive bike is much like a manual shift car. Gotta keep the gears in the sweet spot based on speed and load. A better derailleur helps this bike immensely!

Hey, I just stumbled upon this video and I must say, the content is fantastic! As an avid ebike user myself, I'm always on the lookout for innovative products in this space. That's why I'm really excited about the new crowdfunding project from freebeat called the Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. The fact that it can be charged when using indoor mode is a game-changer! Not only does it offer a smooth riding experience with its powerful motor and suspension, but it also incorporates fitness and technology seamlessly. The Smart Saddle Detection+ feature is a standout, providing performance insights and motivation. And the idea of converting indoor workout energy into CO2-free miles for outdoor rides is truly remarkable. Can't wait to support this project and get my hands on the Morph eBike!

I"m also a mountain biker but I have really been eyeing these. I noticed your video and remember seeing you in BKXC's live stream chats so I was interested to hear your opinion. The XPremium looks like fun to just zip around the neighborhood on, or ride it on our local paved greenway trails. I figure the wife and I would enjoy the extended range and the ability to just use throttle if we wanted to. Texas is just too hot to get my wife out in the afternoon to pedal around our neighborhood. I'd have better luck to say "hey lets just do a throttle ride to get out and enjoy a quick ride."

If you have never ridden an e-bike and hop on one of these, you will feel like you have a Superpower.....and will enjoy every minute of your ride. The cost of e-bikes rose during and after the pandemic....but with models just under $1000, these e-bikes still present a great ride experience on a budget. Good review! I’m thinking about getting the smaller 3.0 as a second eBike, to take with me, camping. I have a Cyrusher Kommoda, which I love, but it’s big and I worry about it getting stolen. A smaller bike and can stick in the camper or the back of my Yukon when I go to town, etc. does anyone have two for the same reason?

At about 7 minutes and 30 seconds, there is mention of the total e-bike weight with two batteries. There is also mention of folding the bike in half, but because of the weight of the bike, it is awkward to fold. My question is: can the batteries be removed? thereby making the e-bike lighter and easier to fold? I enjoyed the video. Thank you.

I own 2-3.0xps . We never ride in water we always store indoors .
Both had major parts fail within 500 miles , one being a battery . Lectric said because it was 13 months old now ,it’s out of warranty . They advised me to buy a new 300$ battery nearly a third of the actual cost of the bike . Also the mileage claims are not correct in the real world , that’s if you might have it on pedal assist one and doing most of the work . This is for for a campground or evening spin around the block but I’d Add another 500$ to your budget and consider a better quality brand

You really should consider an Ebike - But you shouldn't consider buying one without looking into DIY kits. They are simple to install (plug and play wiring) and you can get twice the bike for half the cost of a manufactured brand name. I built a 48v/1000w bike with a 52v/20ah battery for about $700 - that will do (throttle only) 30mph with about a 30 mile range (at 15 mph -throttle only, range is about 70 miles) - and climbs hills at 15-20 mph.
The main issue with kits is figuring out where to mount the battery and controller - but there are several solutions. If you want performance over labeling - go with a kit.

These look great. But I can’t help but wonder about the small wheel diameter concerning stability. I think larger wheels would be much more stable. I’m thinking of buying a couple e-bikes for my wife and I to pull our fishing cart a few miles down the beach since we’re getting up in age and with the bad knees, we can no longer get to our favorite fishing spots. You think these bikes would be good for a couple miles down the beach and back? Obviously hard sand is easy, but can’t guarantee we won’t have to deal with softer sand. Thanks! Mark. PS, I keep picturing me driving the 3.0, with my wife on the back while pulling our fishing cart, hilarious 😂

I’m 80 and just got the 3.0 I’ve had it a few weeks and absolutely love it. I can’t believe how well made it is and zero assembly was fantastic. The hydraulic brakes are great. I’ve been a biker for years but peddling has become too much for my old knees, I can ghost pedal this bike and go 25 mph….the service people are so friendly and helpful. I added a large basket and bell, and received some free accessories from lectrik. Two of my Florida cronies are getting the same bike and we are starting our own electric bike club! Wish I ordered the extended battery. Only con is the awkward position of the key. Frankly it worries me that the key placement issue is a con in every review and the company has ignored the problem. I suppose it’s because the contract they have for the battery/s have the key hole in the bottom of the battery.
