the same happened to me when it snagged on a wheel arch i was working on at home, i dropped it as it is the best way, but i had a snap-on foam mat on the floor which caused it to dig in and fire it up onto my hand where it took the skin down to the tendon. it then bounced off my hand onto my chest and did what happened to this gentleman. it was like the final destination!!
A grinder is the tool that is responsible for most of my injuries in my DIY workshop and a wire wheel is particularly dangerous. It can catch on edges and make the grinder jump towards you. That happened once to me and caused a deep flesh wound in my thigh - despite having the safety guard attached. You can imagine what had happend it it ripped the leg artery.
Yes if very dangerous, this is fist time I lost a shirt and was very afraid to look cuz I thought it would have been that deep flesh wound like you had. I count myself lucky.
Had a friend catch the draw cord of his hoodie in a grinder and it flew up towards his face. Luckily he was able to avoid contact with the blade and just strangle himself for a moment.
@@HighOctane101Already invested in a battery line, just have to keep the cycle going; I've enough batteries to go non-stop, the grinder is a monster when it comes to power consumption though. I used it to help someone remove wood in the earth, to prevent kids from tripping, then plugged it with some dirt. Bad day for the grinder😆

I hate it when that happens.
It hurts
At least you weren’t using a lathe. Seen a couple videos on that, yikes!
I’ve got a lathe and yeah same stuff there, I make sure I don’t have hoody strings around

That’s crazy, it happens so fast. I saw the one picture where the grinder took half a guys beard. You could see the tears in his eyes.
Them brushless motors w/ brake feature are why I don't use plugged grinders, ever... Then again, I don't need to use it every day...
Yeah I would go through batteries pretty quick

Grinder got me 2x. Yup, stupid didn't learn his lesson. Both times cutting wheel split and went airborne. After half ricochet off my finger
That sucks man
You were lucky this time...
Yes, agree I was very scared I was tore open!
@@HighOctane101 I can understand that. Glad you posted this so I and others can prevent this from happening to us 👍
