Reckless Drivers Destroy Yard...We Clean It Up

- Road closures happen all the time out of protection for those on the road. Power lines falling, tree falls blocking the road, construction, and car accidents are a few common examples. Scott, a representative from the Wayne County Engineer’s Office speaks on the importance of road safety and how to navigate road closures when they arise.
The compelling footage showcases the results of individuals ignoring road closure signs and choosing to drive through private property to save themselves time. Fixing deep ruts is no easy task for homeowners and could easily be avoided through patience and finding an appropriate place to turn around.
Ventrac provides all the equipment necessary to fix ruts in a lawn with non-ideal working conditions. By aerating the soil with the Ventrac AERA-vator, the small surface level ruts can be worked out with high intensity vibrations.
The ruts that broke the lawn surface and created bare, uneven soil needed a total renovation. We started by turning the soil over and leveling it with the power rake. You will notice through this process that it is very wet, providing suboptimal conditions for lawn renovations. The Ventrac however, handles these challenges well because of its light footprint, all-wheel drive capability, and power output.
Installing a new lawn is extremely hard in wet conditions. The cultivating done with Ventrac’s soil cultivator helped to turn the wet soil over so that it could be worked evenly with the power rake and eventually be seeded. The finish product speaks to the Ventrac’s capabilities in a terrain most tractors can’t touch.
This video not only showcases the exceptional capabilities of Ventrac equipment, but also serves as a reminder to respect road closures and private property.

The anonymity of being inside a car turns many people into total psychopaths with zero regard for life or property. So cool to see Ventracs at work making the repairs.
I thought that looked too muddy to work with but was really surprised by the finish on the cultivator/cultipacker combo.
It was definitely too wet, but if they would’ve wait too long they might not have been able to do anything to it. We’ve been in a drought for 2 months and when the clay gets too dry here it gets literally rock hard. But it would’ve been easier if they did this in mid or late May.
You are correct. Sometimes the right conditions don't come around for a while and you have to work with what you have.
@@ventrac I unfortunately experienced this DURING our drought. I forgot that when clay gets dry it gets hard. I was just amazed at HOW HARD it actually got!
@@Zanderthelab Our power rake and cultivator does a good job at breaking up hard soil. Let us know if you have any questions.
@@ventrac no questions. Just wish it costed a little less. When I have the money I’m definitely getting one. Mast Lepley is my closest dealer right now.
I know I would be crying angry tears and calling law enforcement for this massive property damage if this was my yard.
You all are so generous and kind to help repair the damage. 👍
My father also has a Ventrac with 3 different attachments. We are fans of your products! 😊
Law enforcement probably did. They think they’re above the law.
Glad to hear your family has been satisfied with our equipment. We are always looking for ways to help out in our community!
Ok Karen calling cops because your grass got ruined because they have nothing better to do. Clown.
Bud your a cry baby… calling the police over a few ruts lmfaoo
I always knew aeration helped smooth soil a bit, But the Aera vator is really slick with the roller helping push the high spots into all them holes. Like a giant sponge. The power rake is useful in so many applications. Nice you guys helped him out.
Yes the AERA vator is very slick! Glad you enjoyed the video.
As the building services manager for a hotel, I can tell you that people have absolutely NO respect for things that aren't theirs.
Seeing that people have done this to this man's yard is, sadly, no surprise to me. I hate that people don't think about how their actions affect others.
Thanks for helping this man when others chose to be lazy.
you are such kind people. This shows the love that ventrac gives to the community. You are all so kind great job keep it up.
Wow, I'm sold on the tractor and the company. Good on you guys to help someone in need.
Looking to purchase one? submit a catalog or demo request through our website! www.ventrac.com/contact/catalog
Someone in need oh please
So glad to see Ventrac giving back to the community. Gives you great content to show the machine in action while also helping a homeowner who was disrespected. I wouldn’t have pushed him out. I would have grabbed a lawn chair and a beer and watched the tow truck drag his sorry ass out.
I have a lot of respect for your organization for choosing acts of service to showcase your equipment. I'm assuming it was free of charge. It tells me that Ventrac actually cares about people.
This is a great way to show off the capabilities of your product in actual homeowner situations.
I have this idea that Ventrac could sponsor a recurring landscape makeover contest and do really nice upgrades on individual properties. It's kind of a dream makeover to stir peoples imagination about what they can do if they have Ventrac equipment.
It could also be about training/partnering with new owners to help them design and complete projects that otherwise would be beyond their ability. Lots of cool UA-cam material there. 🙂
Thanks for sharing the idea with us! I would recommend giving as much detail as you can through this link that we it can be reviewed. www.ventrac.com/marketing. Thanks!
Well done... I would like to see how it turned out.
just another reason to love the ventrac family. i will own one, one day...
you should consider a follow up in the fall to see the complete transformation. i bet it will look better than it did before the vandalism.
We may have to make a post with the before and after. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@ventracPlease do!
Y’all did an amazing job. Can’t even tell there was ruts there to begin with. Gotta get me those equipment & attachments. I’m going to drive through my yard just so I can fix it over & over again.
Awesome job love watching ventrac in action
Aaron I have a suggestion for a new attachment if the power bucket is better for moving bulk material at ground level than maybe a set of pallet fork could come in handy for moving pallets at ground level when necessary
That's definitely a suggestion we have gotten. We appreciate and value when end users send us suggestions so thank you.
This will happen again unless some sort of hedge or fence goes up. But the fix was awesome to watch
Y'all have the most fun job on Earth
I've done a lot of these over the years, either by intentional damage, vehicular accident or heavy equipment damage from tree crews or other contractors. The Power Rake does an amazing job at working up the soil and removing the ruts while creating a smooth layer of even soil density. In other words, the repair is permanent and won't settle unlike simply using new topsoil to cover up the ruts. However, as I explain to all of my customers, working in muddy conditions, while possible, always leads to clumps and the final finish grade is never as nice as it can be in drier conditions. I use the Dual Wheels exclusively and only remove then when there are width restrictions in the areas I'm using the equipment which is rare.
this is why i love seeing huge ass rocks get placed on the edges of these lawns
outstanding work done there, sure does help with dual wheels spreads the weight of the tractor over the wet spot,
Nicely done sir
1:40 Aaron now identifies as "Ventrac" 🤣🤣
The Ventrac is the BEST!
Hmmm. I’d have thought the Ventrac tiller would have been a good choice to level those ruts. Then put down a fertilizer/seed/mulch mix.
Just putting seed down with no straw etc. is one way to feed the birds.
Our tiller would not do a great job of burying material that will get turned over that you don't want on a finish lawn. Because it was so wet, and conditions were sub optimal, we had to stick to the power rake primarily to get the job done.
Would love to see a follow up on this :)
Slow Passes at 1.5mph or less with the Aera-vator at high rpm would work in the muddy section too. The Initial passes should be in reverse until the soil breaks up and starts to level then do forward passes. Note aera-vator should be set for maximum depth with roller set high.
This is where having 6x8 railroad crossties along the edge of the property could have made the drivers think twice.
I wish I had the need or property space to justify one of these. I watch Matt from Diesel Creek and he says nothing but great things about his.
Hello. i'm staying here watching your video wish you a lot of health.I like your video
What a nice machine i hope to own one someday👍💯💪
Let us know how we can make that happen!
@@ventrac Im still too young and have no money to my name but maybe in 4-5 years. Thanks
Great video! We have done red clay that wet; slowing down to get the surface level is key. Too much speed and its bounces the rake. Lower tire pressure as well. In any case wet dirt is a handful.
lower tire pressure creates a larger foot print so that would definitely help!
Fine job Donne,Sir. 👍👍👍❤️❤️👍❤️❤️👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Aaron gets to drive the tractors around and play in the dirt for a job.. kinda jealous 🤣
I like it!! But can't justify the money for it! I have the 4500Z with tough cut and stump grinder. I still would like to know if you guys have given anymore thought on a forestry head for the tractor? I know it can't be a big one, but maybe something that can handle a litle bigger material than the tough cut, or flail mowers??
Excellent.
Turned out nice.
Let the edge grow just enough to hide some spike strips. You know they're there, so just weed whack the grass back down. Nice financial and labor trade in my opinion.
Ohio is my favorite! (Because it has weird stuff in it)
Was a beautiful yard to guy must take pride in his yard people dont have respect anymore
I'm the giy that would put massive metal bits in my yard to hopefully pop some tires.
Back when I was working I wish I could have bought Ventrac lol.. These days I am good to drive my electric wheel chair around.
i doubt that you ever worked lmfao
Actually Rush I was a firefighter for three years I worked Grounds keeping for a school district while in high school. When I got kicked out of my dads house because I wanted to Stop the Testosterone injections and Androgel and make the swap to estrogen I was no longer wanted by my bio father. So Io lived out of my car for a few and re enrolled into a high school over 600 miles away passed a test at my local mcdonalds so I could work put in 5 years total working for mcdonalds 6 Years as a security guard. I got out of that because it wasn't physical enough. Went back to working retail as an overnight stocker for a company was involved in an accident and my body gave up. Rush it's hard to judge some one in there current state you would be surprised the history and legacy they may have good and bad. @@Rush47.
Even with the awesome Ventrac equipment, this soil is way too wet. Had you waited 3 days, that equipment would shine like no other
All this needed was to be rolled but soil on it and use a land leveler to fill the tracks after 5 or 6 weeks you could slit it
Nice job, but if it was my property I would have had several truck loads of top soil brought in. Restoring a low spot that is prone to holding water doesn't fix the underlying problem. I own 28 acres and have had dirt moved around and to it several times and cut trees to allow sunlight to areas that were overly shaded.
“duals would allow it to float better” the tractor was even sinking. just impressive how well that thing can get over wet ground.
Our tractors are known to have an extremely light footprint compared to other tractors because of the surface area to weight ratio that duals provides. Great observation! Check out this clip: ua-cam.com/users/clipUgkxbBqmXYewxD3fgDMOKwWym2L14QRqlDFu
And in my case it is the water company that can not keep their lines from leaking, digging up between the fence and road. The latest leak was in the same spot as the last and only two to three months later. I spent about half of a day off and some time after work a second day fixing the ruts and ridges they left behind with nothing but a garden hoe. I think they must have seen the difference and actually put some effort in after the second leak.
Good looking out for you community and helping that guy out. But, would it have been easier and lot less time consuming to just run a motor grader and a roller through there and then just threw some seed down?
It was super wet, so a grader would have made some easy work of that.
Burning man needs this team for a whole year to fix what happened there
lift and pack, lift and pack, lift and pack, aerate.... you just made a giant mud pit for months.
Then after all that money and work the road closes and the guy drives through it again lol
😡🤬 it's not a great thing to do that to someone's yard
Job done by ventrac equipment again! That why I own ventrac . Hand down best landscaping tool.
Awesome to hear!
Good job, if the Cultivator was just a little deeper the end result would have been even better. 👌🏻
The problem was not depth but merely moisture. It was way to wet to use the cultivator effectively in this video. Fortunately the power rake was a great alternative that helped us get the job done.
Liked the video. I have a weird question, what are the songs in this video
what an absolute mess, make great work of it though!
Was That a Horse and Buggy i saw going down the road at the end of the video
CHICAGO, IL - I wouldn’t want to own the propert/land because it looks like it’s public property. Not saying it’s right but I’m sure the drivers thought they were going around a public works job and driving on city/county property.
Ok but...... It's just me tho right? Ok I'll bet it's just me ....Do those airator things look like rotisserie chickens, spinning around really fast, with the legs sticking out, when in use....... Yeah it's prolly just me.
Bad situation but also very bad for any truck driver or anyone pulling a trailer to just turn around on a two way road
Yes yes I know there was probably signs
But ignorant people not reading them well they get to the road block and have no choice so it happens ain’t the end of the world grass grows back land can be re leveled
Where is Tractor time with Tim !
Get some big boulders so nobody can ever drive on your grass
Mind boggling that people think driving through someone’s yard is noemal
70k in attachments and ventrac
This video must’ve been made in April cuz we’ve been in a drought for 2 months lol. Would’ve been easier to fix this when the soil was drier.
Not a bad job but should now place straw on that seeded yard.
Birds and such.
interesting, not nearly as good as result of using a 700# -1300# lawn roller and then a spike aerator over seeder 2-in-1. might as well have used my john deere rototiller for the amount of exposed dirt and removed grass and unsightly mess that is slightly better than the ruts.
next time try the heavy lawn roller first and then use the aerovator or make a lawn roller attachment for the front and rear, with the rear roller having the option to mount an overseeder infront on the front side of the rear roller.
NEVER in my life will I help someone who is stuck in my yard, and get them out. First he will be stopped. Turn that vehicle off or it gets fragged. Next cops are called. Then the tow truck at their expense. While wait name address insurance is all attained and the bill for the cost of restoring the lawn is put on a lean for their house and vehicles. F them. They can't take the time to turn around, well I don't have the time to pity them for disrespecting me and my property. People may say "He's a better man than me" well that's BS. That's called being a punk.
Gotta get where your going… it’s just grass…
🎉
What state are you from ?
Ventrac's are all made and shipped out through our factory here in Orrville Ohio.
get a wild meadow instead of boring grass
These no way I would have pulled them out they would be calling a tow truck
weirdo
I was wondering if you did a bit of resloping on that rutted yard so there was a drainage swale like the neighbor's had. That would probably help keep the yard drier and less likely to rut if someone acted like a barbarian in the future, The ditch/ swale would discourage such idiocy in the future too. A semi-barrier like a drain swale would discourage that.
We tried to fix the grade of the lawn so prevent water issues in the future with the time we had allotted. we primarily just fixed the lawn so that it could return to being a normal lawn. You are right that best case scenario, something should have been done to control the water issues but time constraints prohibited that some. Thanks for asking!
I like the ventrac but, for a professional the rake seems to be extremely underpowered.
Have you operated a Ventrac with a Power rake attachment before?
@ventrac what is a good email for you guys I want to share a few pictures and story from a recovery I did on one of your units that the guy survived because he was using the seat belt and roll bar, he rolled about 30 feet down a pond damm
We are very thankful that the individual is safe. We would like to hear the story. If you could share the story and picture to info@ventrac.com. Someone will reach out to you about your story.
whoever did this or whoever had the road closed better be paying for this
When the drivers got stuck, the owner should have got the tag and pictures and called the police for a report and got drivers insurance to pay for damages.
why the f*ck would the company who closed the road pay for that ? Are your parents siblings ?
So 50 $60,000 to clean up those ruts?
Not sure what it would cost to hire someone. It was a service we offered for free.
Duals
IM THE ONE WHO DID IT AND IM PROUD OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂
2X2's w/NAILS STICKING OUT FLAT TIRES ON TRUCKS YES YES IT WAS GREAT BUT THEY STOPED IT!!!!!!!
Nix the music. It is so distracting.
Great machine, (awful music)
I would be puting in a few bollards or boulders about 10 ft of the shoulder of the road
What about long trailers. Where do they turn around?
WTG! Do donuts next time! F his yard! You are providing him easy content opportunities. You should even get a cut. 30% royalties sounds about right. Don't be a deadbeat Ventrac, pay the man! Though, to be honest he most likely did that himself.
