    Thanks for making this video I am just getting ready to upgrade mine to the AEM pumps. I tend to break plastic shit so we'll see how it goes! LOL

    You have to change it or you have to leave the factory one, it went to the dyno and presented a fuel failure. I changed, I put what came in the new pump

    where you are incorrect is that the four clips for the black piece attached to the small line outside of the bucket and internal to the module dont need to be popped. The whole piece is held in by an oring and can be pried up without the clips coming out.

    you changed the Fuel Pressure Regulator ?

    I have installed a CTSv fuel bucket with the upgraded DW300 fuel pumps on my 2013 ZL1. I had to wire the two pumps in one connector to make it work with factory harness.
    The fuel pressure is at 50psi at idle but it drops immediately to around 20psi at WOT! What you think is the issue? Still run the factory FPCM

      @@TractionControlusa hi Scott I’m having the same issues on my 11 ctsv with fuel pressure dropping around 3500rpm for a second and it would pressure back up.

    • @TractionControlusa
      @TractionControlusa  7 місяців тому

      @ricebo72 your fpcm is reading too high an amp draw from the pumps and cutting power. It's thinks there's a short. Even if you delete the code the issue will still persist. If you have this issue you need to install a fuel pump relay, and not the type of relay you are thinking of. They no longer make the brand I use..however of you call DW and ask them about the issue they can recommend a relay to use. It will allow the pumps to be powered by the battery and triggered by the pcm...no tuning needed

      I ran ID1050s for a while. Until I got above 800 and had to add an aux pump anyway then went with ID1300s which is what I'm currently running

      these 2 pumps will support up to 750whp on e85 with the proper injectors and tuning. at 750 pressure will begin to lower, We installed a DW 320lh aux pump to remedy this issue. the aux pump coupled with these 2 pumps now produce 72psi at the rail all the way to 6500rpm on e85 making 860whp

      @@TractionControlusa I have a LPE dual pump system in a 2010 camaro ss . i've been told the LPE fuel bucket is basically the cts v fuel bucket , if that's the case this would be a drop in fuel upgrade to the dual LPE 190lph pumps that are in it now . • @TractionControlusa
      @TractionControlusa  5 років тому

      The zl1 has a single pump. However you can use a ctsv bucket and install these pumps in it and it will work in a zl1 tank. That's actually what I'm running now.

      Gen5Concepts
      Will the fpcm work with that set up?

    • @TractionControlusa
      @TractionControlusa  5 років тому +1

      Yes. I am using my factory fpcm. You will however need to wire in additional harness due to their being 2 pump connections instead of one. On a side note. Depending on how much power you make and fueling demand, if fuel demand is high the pumps will pull more amps than the fpcm will allow and it will cut voltage and drop pressure. A "pm3" module from torqbyte will completely resolve that issue. Best benefits of this set up are using your factory fuel lines not needing a return line or regulator and the fpcm still controlling fueling as designed

    • @fbanda20
      @fbanda20 5 років тому

      Man thanks for this info, I’ve been racking my head on which system to go with I don’t want to drill my tank or pay close to 2k for a fuel system. My question is can I use other pumps like a set of walboros 450s?

    • @TractionControlusa
      @TractionControlusa  5 років тому

      @@fbanda20 yes as long as the pumps fit. The pm3 has a 40amp fuse. So whichever pumps you use you need to make sure they do not exceed the 40amp draw or it will pop the fuse on the pm3 and your pumps will shut off. Check the pumps you want to use. Each one should have an amp draw listed, then times that by 2.

    You DO NOT have to pry and possibly break those black plastic clips that this guy is repeatedly talking about... Go watch Adam Little's video showing how to properly do it..Title "CtsV Gen II Fuel Pump Module Info ".... Not as brittle as this man makes it out to be..

    • @TractionControlusa
      @TractionControlusa  5 років тому +2

      I see he posted that video 6 months ago. .. we posted this 3 years ago. Before we posted this the common way was to pull the pumps out with the module still connected to the bucket via the small plastic hose..which is very easy to break. The tabs we are prying are HARD to break. We came up with this method after a customer broke his trying to do it as the the online videos of the time instructed.
      I am however happy someone actually improved on our method. If it really comes out as easy as pictured that's a big relief..we tried doing this one that way and it wouldnt come out, hence why we took the tabs off instead.

    How do you access the pump without dropping the tank?

    • @TractionControlusa
      @TractionControlusa  6 років тому +1

      Francisco Gil you can cut a door in floor under back seat to gain access. But you must be very very careful with that method to not cut the fuel line or the harness. Safest way is to drop the tank
