I got into Apple with the 6th gen iPad. I loved it so much that a few months later I got the 11 iPad Pro from 2020. Now, I have an iPhone. Because they sold me with the ecosystem and I run a business and having access to my photos, files, and air dropping has been a game changer. I was hardcore Android and anti-iphone. Now, I'm typing this on an iPhone. Haha And I doubt I'll ever go back. I guess I'm stuck the ecosystem, but it's okay I don't need help. I like it here. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
I love the apple ecosystem. The more apple products you have, the better it is. I have an iPhone, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and an Apple Watch. I love how seamless it is. I pay for 2TB of iCloud storage because I literally outgrew the lower storage options. That’s how I deep I am into the ecosystem 😂

Technology was moving so fast it was worth upgrading regularly. I think we're at the point of deminishing returns and so it makes sense that we're upgrading less often.

Its a way to show the human brain that it's not that crazy of a change. Plus, they're confirmed lowering the price because they're releasing the ZFold3, ZFlip3, and ZFold Lite, so the prices can be reduced. Also, I have a Note20 Ultra so that kind of worked lmao

Then you found yourself in Chrome, Google Play, UA-cam, Instagram, Microsoft Windows...A larger garden which is still controlled by a handful of companies.
Regardless of all the other changes, the 2 big ones are the drop in quality and the removal of basic things with dongles. I'll never buy their products.

I never jumped to Apple/iPhone for that single reason, the lock-in strategy. I know that you probably talk about consumers that have monthly income, but in my school out of 1k people there is no one having android which is pretty teryffing and I see my friends having new updated iPhones day by day
I've been binging this channel and while the production is great one thing has been ticking me off. For all the talk of software and hardware, like batteries, the phones always seem to be treated super disposable? Like even in this video where it brings up the fact that they're not, people are actually switching them less, It's crazy how with all the hints and nudges in the direction of consumer choice and obsolescence, right to repair never gets mentioned (and honestly seems to be treated as a non existent idea)... A phone isn't a paper plate, you don't just throw it out once you're done with your food, yet it really doesn't seems to be treated like the 'necessary' daily tool it is. After all, we don't buy a new kitchenware set annually. And the new phones coming out aren't that much of an improvement as to make everything before it obsolete, as were that the case there wouldn't be a market for anything older than 2 years. That's precisely why the focus is shifting away from the phone, yet that whole point seems at best tiptoed around...

I never jumped to Apple/iPhone for that single reason, the lock-in strategy. Even though I think my Samsung or PC is lagging and I hear that Apple's alternatives are more stable (although less flexible and open to 3rd party software) I never swayed from my strong belief that lock-in just a losing game. It's morally wrong. I hope thet eventually get forced to change this.
Windows PCs are better heat management and better performance then Macs.

I've been binging this channel and while the production is great one thing has been ticking me off.
For all the talk of software and hardware, like batteries, the phones always seem to be treated super disposable? Like even in this video where it brings up the fact that they're not, people are actually switching them less, It's crazy how with all the hints and nudges in the direction of consumer choice and obsolescence, right to repair never gets mentioned (and honestly seems to be treated as a non existent idea)...
A phone isn't a paper plate, you don't just throw it out once you're done with your food, yet it really doesn't seems to be treated like the 'necessary' daily tool it is. After all, we don't buy a new kitchenware set annually.
And the new phones coming out aren't that much of an improvement as to make everything before it obsolete, as were that the case there wouldn't be a market for anything older than 2 years. That's precisely why the focus is shifting away from the phone, yet that whole point seems at best tiptoed around...

I'd say Apple had been pretty agressive with their "I'm a Mac. And I'm a PC." campaign a decade before the Switch to iPhone campaign. They also compared IBM to the Orwellian government in 1984, so... I'd say they've always been quite intense LOL

This is Apples "oh shit" moment. They were already popular and had ok phones. They were getting kind cocky, and now since samsung has been improving their phones quicker and have been making better phones apple has to step up their game. I really like what apple are doing now since they are now paying attention to their own community and are improving their phones more each new phone. Instead of just gradually changing the chip, theyre taking bigger leaps and risks.

I finally got an iPhone 12 mini. My first iPhone ever. I’m almost 35. I’m really glad I waited.
I thought I was gonna be a Apple phone user in 2022. I thought thank god apple is finally gonna get rid of the notch, I can leave samsung. Then I hear about the dynamic island, i'm like ok let me see what everyone else says about before I buy. Glad I waited, cuz the dynamic island is no different than the notch. I've waited 15yrs for nothing, guess apple will NEVER or can NEVER do a phone without a notch/dynamic island. Guess i'll never be an apple customer...I can only wish to be one.
I worked in Cupertino Ca. right by Apple and Microsoft in the beginning when they were both neck and neck. Our company took a vote on what systems we wanted to use and most people picked Microsoft. They were brutal to each other and Microsoft almost put apple out of the business. I am glad to see them make fun of Microsoft. The tables have turned.
