OMG, I remember when this was made. The shots rolling down the street were taken from my car. What a throwback!

This was made in 2000. I got my tape from one of the crew members.
They are New School Hip Hop dancers, some call it Freestyle. It's the style of Hip Hop dancing that became popular in the late 80's after breaking, popping etc(think MC Hammer,Big Daddy Kane's dancers).

Nice. I remember these days back in 91-95 doing this. I have old footage on my youtube page. Look for it at back in da day. I use to be from Cave Boyz, Consistant Boogie, and Phyzical Poetz... and last Eko Hedz.
Thanks for postin and bring n me back. Now I am pastorin and preachin about Jesus!

New school for this style was used more in the 90's. Back then that term was used to distinguish it from the popping and breaking of the 80's(old school) that it came after.

No one seems to be able to date this video. It had to be at least between 1994-2000. That's when Grant Hill played for the Pistons (check the kids jersey 1:32)

      Thank you, sir. 🌺
I liked to dance to a lot of house music, despite us predominantly focusing on hip hop back then. Cesar (el jaunder), Corey (perayd), Ron (progess) and myself, all definitely loved dancing to house.....a LOT. 🙏🏽😉

If your ever in LA try finding a party done by the Beat Junkies. No radio music, just pure undground and old school hip hop.

smh...that cat adriane and some Soul Sector dudes. It's obvious that soul sector took style from the south when went out to perform at the old Conga Room in LA. A lot of "knees" in these videos and the afro -capo styles. *still not as smooth though. Dudes, can't front and say, "nah, these vids were from way back in the days like the 90's!" (I've heard that one before, Uhhh Mikey) It's obvious from hair styles when these were recorded...AFTER conga. Not hating, just calling out the obvious. Jusssssss sayin'!
