Fire Rescue gives tips on EV safety during hurricane season

Electric cars are becoming more popular, and local fire departments are working to get the word out about what to do with your EV when a hurricane approaches. In the past, electric vehicles have been flooded and destroyed by hurricanes. Many were damaged by Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers.

I live in Florida. I have an Electric Vehicle and a Gas Vehicle. I would be better off with the Electric vehicle after a hurricane. If the power is out and the gas stations are empty, I can still charge the car from home solar.
