I relate to Jessica on this one. I've been completely enamoured with this movie since I saw it back in 1992. I fell in love with Gary Oldman as Dracula and admired his undying love for Elisabeta/Mina. How amazing it must be to see these iconic costumes in person! Much love to you both and your channel!
I feel so much better knowing I’m not alone with my obsession of the movie, especially the music thats playing wen Vlad sees Mina in person for the 1st time “See me See me Now” and she looks up and damn! He looks soo good, the suit, his hair, just mmmm I’m sure I’ve seen this movie at least 40 times and never ever grow tired or bored. But sadly no one in my circle shares my feelings about this beautiful movie ❤❤❤ There are a couple of scenes that blew me away..The moment Mina says, I know you.. Vlad n Mina dancing by candlelight ❤

I know exactly where Jessica is coming from. Bram Stoker's Dracula is my favorite Coppola film; it's one of the most gorgeously looking film ever with an incredible score by Wojciech Kilar. Kilar also did the score for Polanski's The Ninth Gate, which I also love.
According to Gary Oldman, the most difficult costume to wear & perform in was the Bat creature that turned into a bunch of rats - "look what your God has done to me" - after the hunters walk in on him and Mina drinking his blood. They also had trouble acting properly scared when they first see him, so Gary decided to whisper something in their ears, which legitimately terrified them lol. For me the scariest was the Werewolf in the beginning.

The Francis Ford Coppola Dracula movie was spectacular. It is one of the very few movies I got on DVD after seeing it in the theater. You guys did a nice job of showing some of the movie's artifacts as well.

This Dracula movie had such a psychedelic, nothing-is-real feel to it. Fascinating production design and costumes, and of course, Gary Oldman's masterful performance. We won't mention Keanu Reeves miscasting as Harker. Whoops, just did!

Seeing the screen used costumes from Bram Stoker's Dracula must have been life changing. The sheer enchantment on Jessica's face says it all. It's one of my all time favorite movies as well and I would have been geeking out even harder. Dracula's battle armor in the movie is really amazing looking but behind the scenes it was falling apart during most takes. All the costumes in the movie were designed by a Japanese woman and the robe that Dracula wears in his castle specifically emulates geisha style wardrobe.
I love you Jessica! I love Bram Stoker's Dracula. Gary Oldman and Winona Ryder were just terrific in their roles.! Perfectly cast and stunningly produced. I watch it several times a year.
That movie was so damn good. Epic, tragic, horror, tad bit of action topped off with the perfect song at the credits. It’s almost like the song gives you the feels of Dracula’s loneliness
I loved it, I think they should have included the costumes of the 3 vampire brides which are also really cool and the 3 most beautiful in my opinion, even knowing the work that went into making this armor, Lucy's costume, in addition to Mina's

Thanks for sharing. Dracula is probably my favourite Coppola film. It does have problems (I don't care for the love story to be honest), but the mood & atmosphere really captures the creepy atmosphere in the book. Coppola's decision to use in camera optical effects (like multiple exposures), is something I love doing in my still photography, so its something I can relate to on a creative level. I am a huge fan of the book (which is why I'm not a fan of the love story), & I tracked down some London locations mentioned in the book on my recent trip (with the help of an annotated copy). I also went to Hampstead, which is where Van Helsing & Dr. Seward go to investigate the child attacks which turns out to have been done by Lucy (I went mainly to see Jack Straws Castle & The Spaniards Inn). Walking there, I could easily picture Lucy roaming around the area looking for a victim, & I was a bit creeped out just thinking about it. Like I've said, while I do have some problems with Coppola's movie, I didn't really realise it is closer to the book than most Dracula adaptations until I saw James Rolfe's video comparing them. If I recall correctly, I think Coppola's version was the only film adaptation (or one of the only few), to include Quincey Morris as a character, who is one of my favourites in the book.
The three awards that you see near the oscars , 1 lion is a very important award for the career , from Venezia film festival in Italy (I live in Venice) , the others 2 are David Di Donatello , Roma Italy as the same. Amazing. My favorite movie. 🐺❣️🍵🗡 Miss the Red dress❣️

You guys definitely need to check out Bram Stoker’s Castle in Dublin. I know it’s a trip but I have seen video clips on UA-cam of the tour they give and it’s pretty amazing. They also have Dracula’s Graveyard. Super geek out. Both wedding dresses I pegged it ! The difference is such a visual statement in the movie. Michael bring Jessica to Whitby when you are in the U.K. A filming location but also the ultimate book location. Bram was there writing Dracula. Take a boat ride out of the harbor and back ( I recommend the Bark Endeavour) and you will be entering Whitby as Dracula did, pass by Tate Hill Sands where Dracula as a huge black dog jumped from the ship leaving nothing but dead men on board and ran up the cliff to St Marys church yard and then head up the Abbey Steps yourselves. If you are there anytime between Friday 27th and Sunday 29th October you will coincide with a wonderful Gothic Festival everyone dressed for the occasion and the whole town decorated. As for the shopping, Jessica might explode, just saying ! That's where I will be at Halloween. Wherever you go have a wonderful adventure.

Oh wow!!! What a place ❤.. I've been obsessed with Dracula from being a child. I'm from the North East if England so I grew up watching Hammer house of horror with Christopher Lee playing Dracular❤. I would totally recommend when yous come to England go to Whitby. It's amazing many ppl take Brams book to see where the key places in the book are, I also proposed to my fiancé there a few years ago at the Abby. I've just been to a steam punk weekend which was fab if yous are coming to England for Halloween I'm sure the goth weekend is on & there is stuff on at the abby. Happy Halloween 🎃

You both should definitely go to Whitby, Yorkshire, England. Where you can go to the Abbey at the top of the hill. It's where Bram Stoker got the inspiration for Carfax Abbey. Plus if you go in the Dracula museum by the harbour, you can go in the very building and room where he talked to real captins about being at sea and sailing. It gave him the idea for the ship in his book; plus 1 of Christopher Lee's Dracula capes is there. If your going to eat fish and chips in Whitby, you must eat at the Magpie; sure it's the best around.
Big news in Sonoma County Coppola did sell the winery. I saw him work on the set of Peggy Sue Got Married in Petaluma. Watched the master at work. A friend of mine briefly went to high school with Francis's late son Gio. He had a tragic end and much grief for the family
Apparently the child actor was absolutely petrified of Sadie Frost (Lucy) in that dress, and they went out of their way to goof around with her between takes while Sadie was still in full vampire/undead costume, so she wouldn't be traumatized lol.

Thanks for sharing. Dracula is probably my favourite Coppola film. It does have problems (I don't care for the love story to be honest), but the mood & atmosphere really captures the creepy atmosphere in the book. Coppola's decision to use in camera optical effects (like multiple exposures), is something I love doing in my still photography, so its something I can relate to on a creative level.
I am a huge fan of the book (which is why I'm not a fan of the love story), & I tracked down some London locations mentioned in the book on my recent trip (with the help of an annotated copy). I also went to Hampstead, which is where Van Helsing & Dr. Seward go to investigate the child attacks which turns out to have been done by Lucy (I went mainly to see Jack Straws Castle & The Spaniards Inn). Walking there, I could easily picture Lucy roaming around the area looking for a victim, & I was a bit creeped out just thinking about it.
Like I've said, while I do have some problems with Coppola's movie, I didn't really realise it is closer to the book than most Dracula adaptations until I saw James Rolfe's video comparing them. If I recall correctly, I think Coppola's version was the only film adaptation (or one of the only few), to include Quincey Morris as a character, who is one of my favourites in the book.

I recently was at the Forks cultural site in Winnipeg and was in the antique shop and found a four issue adaptation of Bran Stokers Coppola Dracula movie inked by Mike Mignola of Hellboy fame

Oh I love Dracula. The costumes, the way the story was taken, the actors, the effects, the soundtrack. Seriously it has age so well. As so loved that they had the boat from Marie Antoinette movie. I keep forgetting the two are related because Marie Antoinette is another movie fav of mine. I love the sort of abstract nature of that movie. Any how thank you for taking us!

Those costumes are beautiful but the storyboards in the elevator was the thing that I was wowed over.
I enjoyed that. I have new respect for the designers behind his vision of Dracula. The Art Nouveau embroidery on the dress is so good and totally unnecessary but are just a beautiful detail.

So many amazing actors in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Now legends. Gary Oldmans 15th film now over a 100. Tom Waits was an excellent casting choice. Heath Ledger was a big fan and influenced his joker performance

You guys definitely need to check out Bram Stoker’s Castle in Dublin. I know it’s a trip but I have seen video clips on UA-cam of the tour they give and it’s pretty amazing. They also have Dracula’s Graveyard. Super geek out. Both wedding dresses I pegged it ! The difference is such a visual statement in the movie.
Michael bring Jessica to Whitby when you are in the U.K. A filming location but also the ultimate book location. Bram was there writing Dracula. Take a boat ride out of the harbor and back ( I recommend the Bark Endeavour) and you will be entering Whitby as Dracula did, pass by Tate Hill Sands where Dracula as a huge black dog jumped from the ship leaving nothing but dead men on board and ran up the cliff to St Marys church yard and then head up the Abbey Steps yourselves. If you are there anytime between Friday 27th and Sunday 29th October you will coincide with a wonderful Gothic Festival everyone dressed for the occasion and the whole town decorated. As for the shopping, Jessica might explode, just saying ! That's where I will be at Halloween. Wherever you go have a wonderful adventure.

Oh wow!!! What a place ❤.. I've been obsessed with Dracula from being a child. I'm from the North East if England so I grew up watching Hammer house of horror with Christopher Lee playing Dracular❤. I would totally recommend when yous come to England go to Whitby. It's amazing many ppl take Brams book to see where the key places in the book are, I also proposed to my fiancé there a few years ago at the Abby. I've just been to a steam punk weekend which was fab if yous are coming to England for Halloween I'm sure the goth weekend is on & there is stuff on at the abby. Happy Halloween 🎃
jessica- i too am a huge bram stoker's dracula fan! the best dracula ever! but i do have to say i may be an even bigger godfather fan! i have watched all 3 godfathers and dracula probably more than any other movies! francis ford coppola is the best director ever in my opinion! i would love that car and the storyboard numbered page! thankyou for showing this! 🖤❣🖤

I'm 49 years old I watched this one in the theaters Bram Stoker's Dracula was one of my all-time favorites and is today I own it on Blu-ray this is truly an Epic Grim Adventure 🎃😎👍👽
You both should definitely go to Whitby, Yorkshire, England. Where you can go to the Abbey at the top of the hill. It's where Bram Stoker got the inspiration for Carfax Abbey. Plus if you go in the Dracula museum by the harbour, you can go in the very building and room where he talked to real captins about being at sea and sailing. It gave him the idea for the ship in his book; plus 1 of Christopher Lee's Dracula capes is there. If your going to eat fish and chips in Whitby, you must eat at the Magpie; sure it's the best around.
Big news in Sonoma County Coppola did sell the winery. I saw him work on the set of Peggy Sue Got Married in Petaluma. Watched the master at work. A friend of mine briefly went to high school with Francis's late son Gio. He had a tragic end and much grief for the family
Everything there is so cool. But, Lucy's wedding/burial/decapitation dress is what I loved the most. One of the best movies ever made!
Apparently the child actor was absolutely petrified of Sadie Frost (Lucy) in that dress, and they went out of their way to goof around with her between takes while Sadie was still in full vampire/undead costume, so she wouldn't be traumatized lol.
its a great scene the imagery are spectacular,...but my Lucy Westenra is always Carol Marsh
