@@detoi4371 love how you just deduced that its an horrible idea because its not an scenario where you can get top performance out of. You get better than 3600 performance out the cpu mobo combo for less money. If you couple it with an 6500xt or even up to an 6600 with little to no performance penalty as they dont even have x16 pcie lanes, if you wanna talk about the rx580 and below, those dont really get impacted too as they are in the same performance class as the 6500xt and the 580 has 8gb of vram.
If you are on a budget and have no plans of upgrading, its actually a good option. Yet your puny brain can't understand that to some people it has its use cases, especially cause this specific motherboard can be had for way lower than 70 in some regions.

    Hi everyone,
*(at the bottom is mobo cpu combo with a soldered on laptop cpu - worth checking out, esp low wattage gaming on the cpu 45W if youre running off a generator or solar in the outback and power might be a constraint)
Thank you for expanding potential motherboard options, esp to the non mainstream brands / options in Western markets. With a system like the one mentioned if you have the ram and already something like a cheap as chips Radeon 6600 or even going out to buy one.
There's a deal coming in well under 1,000 for decent frame rates and 1080p gaming, potentially even some 1440, depending on the title / GPU. Even if you have to buy a cheap, but not trash case and power supply.
Like you say upgrading a system like that isnt much of an option.
As you'd mentioned if it lasted you 2 years, its still works out to a 1$ a dollar a day proposal, if you can build it for around $770 or so dollars as the high end.
The Cheap Radeon 6600 are a thing, a bit of a god send after the GPUpocalypse, at least for the moment or hold out for a little higher end gpu if its in the budget.
I missed what type of memory the board shown used, get 6000 if the next systems going to be an amd one for sweet spot. *(So if you buy it for this intel set up, ensure its a brand compatible with amd, and then specific motherboard you're going to get when that time comes)
Alternative mobo cpu build - not as modern - cpu upgrade 0 - cheap and can it do gaming sure.

6:05 surprised to see you talking about and testing on-board audio. Anyway, while this is relevant for audio input, output is nowadays handled by your GPU, if you're running HDMI to your monitor and out the headphone jack to speakers, as I do. Onboard audio directly connected to the speakers sounds atrocious (or is it just my Optiplex?). That being said, I haven't actually bought a discrete sound card since the Turtle Beach Montego A3D. Of course, if you're not using a GPU (eek) or if you're not routing the audio signal that way, my thoughts don't apply. But this way I can actually take advantage of BOTH audio devices, independently. Of course, HDMI has no input side, but I can, for example, play a game while on a messenger call and hear both and they won't hear the game... ;)

I've seen that case where you believe there are four power levels, only to find three, and there aren't four at all, what's happening is a binary 3 bit flag is used to indicate the power level; so you have 001, 010 or 100 to indicate the power level.... and 100 in binary is 4. Technically you could have 000, 001, 010 or 100 so there are four different bit masking's, but I believe that's what's happening for you. Certainly was the problem I saw in a similar looking heinous UEFI about 3 months back.

I think, that it will be a good idea, to make a simple construction, so you can *put an extra (cheap) fan, in such a way, that it will blow air, over the VRM's.*
To be fair, I actually DON'T hate this board ! BUT, since I'm an AMD fan, can you also look, for an *affordable Chinese, AM4 motherboard ?!* 🤔👍

maxsun and soyo boards are my recommendations. They are decent quality, much better than Jginyue or any other no-name brand, because Maxsun is a large brand in China with a good reputation. Soyo is owned by the same company that owns Maxsun, the boards are almost identical. The cheapest boards are around £40 GBP and work great with any Ryzen 5 CPU with 0 throttling, for Ryzen 7/9, get the higher end model which costs around £15 more but has much better VRMs. e.g. Maxsun B550m Terminator

Entry level cpus make no sense, am5 board 200$+ ddr5 200$+ and then u pick the cheapest cpu of am5 (7600) grand total... 650$.... or u can go r7 7700x for 730.... so u go 7700. Like 650$ vs 730.. who cares... OR if u dont need that perf... u get a 5600x and a cheap b450 board+cheap (or reused) ddr4.. for half the price

Just dont, buy cheapest b760m that can support any 12,13,14th gen cpu. You wont be overclocking anyway so you dont need a complete beast of a motherboard. For example i ordered B760m Asus TUF D4 for i3 12100f and it costed 129 euro + 86 euro for cpu (all new). With that you will gain better ram support, better temps, upgrade path, more connectivity and looks so you dont have to hide white mess like this one in the video.

One of the things I have learned on building PCs for over 10 years is to never cheap out on Motherboard. Get the best mid to high tier boards you'll never know when those extra features will come in handy in the future.

    • @Solrak8O
      @Solrak8O Рік тому +1

I use to agree. Unfortunately when the best mid to high tier boards now cost $400+ the price simply puts it out of reach of a lot of peoples budgets. Now I recommend last gen motherboards (intel B660 or AMD x570) as they go for cheaper when they are superseded by the latest gen motherboards. And often the last gen boards support the newer CPUs with a BIOS update.
