You serious? Most videos i see of people mentioning naughty dog and consider themselves fans only played uncharted and the last of us becuase that's all they talk about. It's nowhere near underated as the jak and daxter series that game series never been outside the ps2 generation because of the ceo of naughty dog wanted to change the cartoon graphics to make it apealing to fans of tlou and uncharted but potiential backlash from the fans they scraped it's 4th game.
@itsdemetri4282 A modern Jak and Daxter game inspired by Jak 3 would be insane. That game had some ground breaking car combat for its time.
I love the Uncharted series. My second favourite to the Arkham games.
They're all the same game. Uncharted is a good visual experience with its graphics and over the top action scenes that you play in. The plot is literally the same clichéd shit across every game, which is fine because the banter between the main characters is fun, the shooting and climbing is fun, the puzzles are fun like 30% of the time. But I wouldn't consider it to be one of the best stories of all time. I'd say The Last of Us 2 is probably Naughty Dogs best writing as far as like ambition and complexity is compared to all of their other games and even then that's a very contentious point.

I just started playing Uncharted and it is actually pretty fun I've had the games for a week and already finished the first two, Im more than half way through the 3rd one, now I just need the 4th one.

The first two games was rough to play thru though. I got stuck in the desert in Snake's Revenge. But Metal Gear Solid was soooo good. Haven't played any of the games after that one though.
Red dead redemption 2 we can agree on. Amazing open world, amazing characters and seeing what happened before red dead redemption 1 original. Along side the fact we dont play it from John's view, but another our beloved Arthur Morgan.
Gta franchise has been pretty good too.

Bioshock is a phenomenal series of games, but I don’t think it will make a spot in the top 5. Not when there are games like the Arkham Series and Spider-Man games. Definitely top 10 though

I didn't enforce my opinion atleast, gaming is subjective unless you are "enlightened" and think one game is better than all the rest, I think red dead 2 is a bit simple, gta 4 is absolutely amazing because of the gameplay being basically the same as red dead 2 and the story being one of my favorites (this thing called alot of fucking choices), half life 2 is half life 2, what can I say, masterpiece. I just think Red Dead is your average story based shooter in 2023 (atleast for some companies), it's good, but not as influential as some others, like half life 1, doom, or such, it just has a really great story and alot of features, of course, that's just my opinion.

Story wise try Yakuza games. It really does have interesting ideas to say, characters are written in a way that each on each of them you see a little bit of yourself. You really do make a bond with Yakuza games
The only person that doesn't go with the causal takes. Yakuza 0-6 makes you bond with the games and make you laugh, cry, jump in shock, and smirk when something is about to go down.

The last of us 1 and 2 will always be my favorite games of all time. Both my limited edition copies are separate from the rest of my games in my room, I love how it focuses on the story while also being able to remain a horror and survival game, I’ve never cried before while playing a game but when Joel died I actually paused and broke down.

@@Hehhhhhhhavvvv the reason they wrote it that way is because it’s so far in the future Joel becomes more trusting after meeting Ellie. The whole reason for pt 2 is for it to be about Ellie and elaborate on the consequences of killing one person (Abbies father in this case) and how many people one death can affect. It’s not the main story that you need to pay attention to but the little details you need to appreciate in order to understand and enjoy such a gem of a video game.

Bioshock had me hooked, especially the second game.
Metal Gear Solid and Max Payne are worth mentioning as well.
Now I mostly play cart games and Minecraft with my kids. Not much story there. 😂

Honestly they all stand on the 1st place all together. You forgot Bioshock 1, Nier Automata, Plague Tales 1 and 2.
For indie game I would add Lisa: The Painfull, Firewatch, Undertale.

Not story games. I love them too. But they are more action horror survival games. Even the ones who blend into action like re5 or re6 are still survival somewhat.
