  • Missy recounts the awful day she and Cole spent in a strict judge’s traffic court. Years later, she and Jase would learn that Mia had struck up an unlikely friendship with that same judge on her own. Phil officially gets a chauffeur for his Sunday morning drive, even though he was the unauthorized driver’s ed teacher for his boys when they were teens. The guys and Missy discuss the beauty and sacrifice of adoption and suffering for the sake of love.

Wearing a shoulder strap underneath your arm can cause a low speed crash to become fatal. Rib bones are small and brittle. They become daggers when compressed by the strap. However the shoulder bone is strong and robust and capable of taking most of the force.

Jase & Missy, I loved this testimony of answered prayer! God is so good.
My son was on his way to work on his motorcycle on June 7th. A car turned in front of him. My son had been traveling between 55-60 mph. He locked up the brakes. The week prior, God put on my heart to pray for him. I did, specifically for protection while he was on his motorcycle. He has an impact fracture of his left knee, but he is alive. I am fully aware of how horrible things could have turned out. Praise God!

Let me say first that I love you guys and I watch our show all the time. I’m a mother of grown children, too and things that they do and when they drive, I’m always telling them to obey the speed limit and also the law. I was married to a highway patrolman, and now he teaches recon, reconstruction of rakes and things like that in South Carolina. I too had the misunderstanding about seatbelts, but I always wore mine correctly. He explained to me that the reason you to wear your seatbelt the correct way is because if you are in a wreck, it’s not about being thrown out of the car. It’s about the trauma that you can suffer specially, if you’re riding with other people by being thrown around in the car and your bodies hitting up against each other and that’s what causes a lot of people to die not what is outside of the car, but why you are in the car and you have a wreck. Your body hitting other peoples bodies in the vehicle can cause death and that’s why you wear your seatbelt correctly. I’m not saying. i’m not saying these things to you guys to be sarcastic or judgmental I’m just explaining that so that people know why please are so strict about wearing your seatbelt correctly while driving. Again I love you guys. I love your ministry and I love yawls family unit wished or should I say pray that we had more families like that.

I wonder when Jason will look at his monopolizing of conversations as a form of pride and something to be cautious of? You will hear my and I alot when he will continually go on and think people need to know every thought he has, because he needs to teach you. I say all of this knowing i went through this when gifted with edifying and teaching.. I pray Jason will start looking at this as wrong and not something we all need... he needs to consider others more than himself. Love jason and all of them.. but after hundreds of podcast, he needs to realize this is wrong and let others add to the conversation more than he does at first AND EVERY ONE IS NOT IGNORANT OF WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY, JUST BECAUSE YOU JUST COME INTO THIS UNDERSTANDING, IT DOESNT MEAN EVERYONE ELSE HAS NOT COME TO THIS UNDERSTANDING YET. so going on for hours and monopolizing the conversation as if you just have to do it regardless of what anyone else has to add, because it is really about you and you may think you are superior, even though you make the case you are not, your actions says otherwise in how you do things and why. The shallow brook is the loudest, deep waters are calm and patient. I love you Jason as my brother, but you need to quit giving yourself a pass to drive us nuts, by painfully carrying on constantly about you and your understanding monopolizing your dad and brother and cousin. I say this in love.. but really getting hard to watch this podcast with jason constantly going on and on.

I totally agree with you however, I’ve seen crashes that had people that had the shoulder strap not where it was supposed to be and it has killed people. It’s very dangerous to wear the seatbelt like that. I used to wear the seatbelt like that until I saw what could happen in an accident
They have had a seatbelt worn correctly they could’ve survived it. I think it’s ridiculous for a placement to just pull over someone just for a seatbelt violation with everything else is going on but for your safety.

might have used different terminology about people less well off as y'all Missy, either spiritually, financially, maybe not blessed with good, loving family in growing up,try to make sure doesn't appear to be looking down snobbing people compared to yours. just saying that's how it came across. maybe could have just said your particular family member appeared clean well dressed, mannerly.
y'all talking about praying at the time the tornado was hitting without knowing it, that's happened to me several times i find out later. when I don't pray bad things happen,it hits me quick and hard, and that i should learn, til i get slack and time goes by,it happens again!

42:49 If there is a god why is there so much suffering?
Exodus 20:02 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
    There is your answer!

Amen Jase! Adopting our two youngest has been the most difficult thing in our lives. We have to remind ourselves that scripture tells us that our faith is grown with trials and struggles brought on by specifically following God's lead.

When I was in the Air Force stationed at Alex I had a car accident where I slid into the back of another car. The State Trooper gave me a ticket for "failure to maintain control". That was gonna be expensive. I was scheduled for court on a date that I was going to be deployed. So I went to see the Rapids Parish Prosecutor on my lunch break in uniform. I explained my plight and only wanted to change the date for my appearance. He changed my ticket to no license on person and gave me a much lesser fine and sent me on my way. It was a well known fact that Rapids Parish Prosecutors did not like prosecuting traffic tickets.
