My full performance review on the FREAK 5 from Nike! A big upgrade compared to the Freak 4 in my opinion. If you have any questions comment down below!
ok so i got a pair in team wolf grey for christmas. i loved it so much, i picked up the "made in sepolia" colorway from finish line. for me, they are incredible shoes, super comfortable. they feel like a low kyrie infinity of sorts. great padding around the ankle, good support. maybe it just didnt need all that tech. it's just a great feeling shoe. i feel the first colorway came out is ugly, and skewed my opinion early on. as other colorways came out, i started liking them more and more. to rank the shoes i've tried in the past year since restarting my basketball passion (i'm 39)
1. nike freak 5 - 9/10 2. nike kyrie infinity - 8.5/10 (tongue is big as hell and doesn't do much above the lace line) 3. nike lebron witness 6/7 - 7.5/10 (good for practice, bad for play - easy to roll your ankle) 4. adidas dame certified - 7.0/10 (wasn't right for me as i had heel slippage, but seemed great for outdoor) 5. nike immortality 2 - 6.5/10(good at the beginning, no cushion, sole sucks once moderately worn 6. puma court rider chaos - 5/10 (probably good for outdoor, but they're absolute heavy bricks, and pinched me on my big toe joint)
Seem like we have the same preferences when it comes to shoes. I hated the immortality 2 and loved the infinity but was also annoyed that the padding was so high up even tho it doesn’t do anything there. If you want you can check my top 10 shoes of 2023 for some more suggestions for shoes to try out! (Freak 5 made the list obviously)

Yes it takes some time to get used too but if you wear them more and more it will go away
They also look so much better than freak 4 imo
