Thank you so much for this video. I am doing an old jeep yj project car. The teacher's detail saved the day for me. A big help. The additional three point and 5 point explanation was the winner that saved me. I would have been lost without it! Carry on making those great tutorial assist videos.
Well, that certainly takes the guesswork out it. I always wondered how the newer wheels attached. Good info. Thanks for taking the time to make this for us.
I called jegs and got every part number you gave me 100.04 for every thing I went with the red bowtie horn button. The wheel is the rose wood it's going to be beautiful. Thank you again..Stan
horn will not work when pressed, only if I make direct ground contact on the wire. Also, the horn button has very little distance from the wheel, which I feel that if it did work, even the slightest bump would set it off. I'm stumped.
Terribly sorry for the very late response. I would like to answer your question to help the next person. When there is no notch it's because the pin you remove from that tubing has a locking ring retainer that comes out when you pull the pin out. You would re-use the retainer ring from the tubing to hold the wire in.
lol 🤣 my horn shit the bed. Something went wrong and i had to remove the entire horn from my setup lol otherwise it would just sound the horn constantly.
I hope Grant reached out to you after seeing this. This is a great and detailed tutorial. Thank you so much!!!
Alas....they did not.
appreciate that.

Thank you very much for the tutorial! The instructions were screwing me up but your video sorted it out. Appreciate it!
Grant should pay you royalties for explaining their unclear paper only installation instructions in a proper way.
Thanks : o )

Excellent instructions. Told me everything I needed to know to install my steering wheel.
Great Video helps a ton with answering reasoning and specs to what and why he helped within t4 minutes to answer if the wheel I bought would work
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for right now. After 3 or 4 other videos, this is it. THANK YOU

Do you happen to know what installation kit should be used on a telescoping column from the same time period? (1981 el Camino)
the Kit we offer for the telescopic column is # 6400 . It should be out in about 60-90 days. You can contact me at techsupport@grantproducts.com
@@guillermomorales6030 I said telescoping when what I meant was tilt. Will this work with a tilt column?
@@TheHalomaster2000 Yes Sir.. sure will . Any Gm column 1969 to 1994 . Prior to Airbag and No telescopic.. but for sure any tilt column.
I'm trying to do this for the Grant chrome cap but it will not stay on, pops right off whenever I turn the wheel.
Sorry to hear that. The horn spring might be to depressed to tight. call Grant for some foam pads to replace that spring. so that no longer happens.
Horn installed exactly like video, horn not working with button. I have to ground out on center shaft bolt.
Please call me at GRANT 956-542-0202 or techsupport@grantproducts.com
What do you do if the plastic sleeve isn’t notched to lock the spring in.

Ahahah. I was like 2 notches on the spline off. Time to re do this again
