Just wanted to let you know (I'm an old electronic hobbyist and amateur radio operator) that the grease that you used IS absolutely the right stuff for that kind of contact issue. Any and everytime that two (or more) wires are brought together (like in a crimp/pressure type commector) in any vehicle that may be subjected to water, moisture, or humidity like would be found in cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, trailers, & etc., this stuff will save you much grief later on down the road! When you clean off those battery terminals, put a thin coating of that grease before tightening down the bolts and you'll see either no or much less corrosion in the future. This is especially critical on crimp-on connectors!!! Another great video, BTW. Keep up the good work!!! :^)

I bought the sane steering wheel for my maverick. Those original ford steering wheels are worth a pretty penny . There are companies out there that restore them too.

Hey Griff ? just an FYI buying new skin for your bench seat and putting it on is easier than you think , either do it in warm bright sun light or have a heat gun.hair dryer handy ..wheel looks cool !

Thanks Griff Parker. Your setup looked great. Did you have any issues with the new wheel canceling the turn signals after your turns?

Can you put a link in description for that steering wheel and ford emblem. I don’t see that model on their website.

I have a 73 F250 that I bought with a steering wheel just like this on it! It looks older though. Do you have any idea what it might have come off of?

Thanks for the video. I bought pretty much the same wheel for a very similar application: mid '60's Ford Thunderbird. Mine looks like a slightly different setup and kit than you have for yours. Your horn only had one wire, and mine had two. They sent me an extra piece in the kit, so I guess it was because of this.
Question though: Did they send you the roll pins to use for turn signal cancellation? I noticed you didn't install them even though you have the same Ford turn signal cancellation mechanism that I have in my T-Bird (the flexible plastic piece that the turn signal lever connects to.) I tried to use the original factory turn signal cancellation piece that activates this mechanism (I saw you had a similar piece on your original steering wheel) but the clearances weren't right to use it with the kit. I had to use the roll pins with the kit for activating the mechanism. My turn signals are now cancelling with the pins supplied, but I wanted to see if you had the same kind of experience I did (wanted to make sure I installed them right.)
Your steering wheel looks great. I'm pretty sure mine is made by the same company. They do a good job, though I wish the instructions were a little better.

If I remember right, I had to manually turn the turn signals off when making a turn in this truck. So that must have been because of the way I installed my wheel. Thanks for watching!
