I don't agree on the critics on the paddles to be fixed on the steering column. To me that makes more sense than having them turning with the steering wheel. Okay, you usually don't shift on corners (that should be done before the corner is reached), but when you drive around slow corners like hairpins or in cities, you do shift on corners, and with turning paddles you never know where the downward paddle is. On the column it is always in the same place. So in the cars I drive I very much like the paddles to stay fixed on the column.
Baudewijn Berte luckily for us loyal top gear fans Jeremy James and Richard are filming a new show. Amazon is giving them a better budget for the show than bbc did and they will have 36 episodes spanning 3 years. Now top gear is going to be a one presenter gig.
+Luka Henigman itis the original top gear crew anyway, but, you arent forced to watch. Also worth well watching Roadkill from the motortrend stable btw, if you are into auto lunacy.
Laurynas S. if you actually pay attention when lambo comes out with new cars, people actually always hate the looks. then the looks grow on everyone and they love them. when the aventador first came out people said it was a hideous hybrid of reventon murcielago and gallardo. now people think its one of the best looking cars of all time. i had a close friend who went through this exact change of opinions about lamborghinis.
I think Tiff is a great sports car driver but I have to disagree with him because one the client at our Gym has Lambo Hurican same color as the one in the video, it sounded super loud. And I love the crackling sound that the Hurican make from it exhausts.
Conclusion should be key guideline for Huracán. It is clear that for "entry" model if you reach out to wider audience, you will have more money for more Lambo spirited cars. Like SV. I am pretty sure we will see more agressive versions, but "entry" model must be easy to drive for most of potential users.
The reason it's less edgy is because Lamborghini wants to sell more of them, and have more return buyers, if you get what I mean. And what's with this edgy craziness anyway.
I just drove one at Dream Racing in Las Vegas and before you bad mouth this car you MUST DRIVE IT! Nothing touched it while I was there. Unbelievable performance and handling. Just because something(car) is simpler in design please don't underestimate what it is capable of doing and what it was designed and intended to do. Drive It! You will fall in love with it!
+ali al-dujaili Tiff's driven a LOT of supercars. I'd say he's pretty qualified to judge them. What he means is that the looks aren't new or stunning. When it doesn't look much different from every Lambo made in the last 20 years or so, it's kinda boring to someone who drives a lot of high-performance cars. I think it looks very much like the Gallardo and I agree with Tiff; I'm not excited about its looks either because it doesn't look exciting. Especially not in matte black.
Has Tiff ever lowerd his eyebrows or stop smiling for more that 5 seconds.. Ever? Not that he'd have any reason too as far as we're all concerned, but.. Tiff, you're top trumps in my book, we all have much love for ya, and your exuberant driving style! The whole fifth gear team for that matter!
the Huracan is one gorgeous car! especially in that matte black!...if they depreciate as much as the gallardo did than i'll just buy one in 3-4 years for 120k lol...i see gallardos going for 75-80k right now which is ridiculous!!
citrano2012 i know...my buddy bought on had it for a few months did the GRR then sold it....it's definitely a bang for your buck but it cost too much to maintain...it's something you buy and keep for like 2 years then go for something else
I'd way rather have the paddle shifters mounted on the steering column rather than the wheel itself... Otherwise shifting often becomes confusing mid-corner (from my experience anyway)
mariner raghav In the Western Cape, however it is east of Cape Town. It is the R44 between Gordon's Bay and Pringle Bay. Great roads but they are a bit too tight to be considered great driving roads. High wind speed is a problematic factor as well, quite fitting that they review a car named after a hurricane here.
These are all clips from a TV show, they're waiting for a new series at the moment. Repeat what you said in an email to Channel 5 if you wanna help them out :)
Huh.. Sort of surprised Tiff would prefer the paddles move with the wheel.. I thought it was better to have them fixed, so that you always knew where they were, regardless of the wheel's position...
+andy elliott I think Lamborghini is moving towards the liking of the mass market where most who buy it are not engaging drivers, rather they r casual drivers that wanna flash their status. They wan comfort like dual clutch, wow factor like fighter jet start buttons and they don't drive like race driver with both hands on the steering wheel and I guess that is why the fix paddle position.
+bliglum I find it rather funny that Jeremy Clarkson voiced exactly the opposite of Tiff's opinion on this. Here's why I think they're different: Tiff's a racing driver. Clarkson is not.
Unbelievable! They make it better in every single point compared to Gallardo and it is not good for them. It looks amazing, it sounds amazing, it sticks to the tarmac, it is more safe and yet it is not good! Only thing which is really disappointing is this review...
If I had the money for Lambo I'll go for Gallardo spider with manual gearbox with no doubt! This clicking metal to metal sound on every gear change an the rewarding from the good work with the pedals and the gear-stick will give me more excitement then this few milliseconds that double clutch gearbox gives!
The best comparison is the Lexus LFA and mentioned by Tiff Nedell the Ferrari 458 Italia. All the three have similar top speed(202mph), but most importantly, both(Huracan&LFA) have screaming N/A V10 engines whereas the 458 has a screaming N/A V8.
it looks so good that when it first came out I thought this is the new aventador but then after some time I saw that its the new gallardo and it understeers badly and also if you put any other tyre than what lambo says you will heat up the awd system
It is strange - just seen a couple of days ago a review, which was praising the Huracan that it is the best Lamborghini full stop. I have to say, haven't driven one - but the looks are definitely really pretty. Definitely far better and far more aggressive than the Gallardo.
I think it looks pretty great, the gallardo was kind of boring, I've always been a Ferrari guy, but considering that all the posers with money all buy either a 458 or the aventador, the huracan looks even better.
+Snafu Ya, the 458 is an amazing car, it's just that those cars have become the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic of the super car world. They are almost always the only super cars you see, and yes they are great, but these people don't seem to realize how many options are out there that look amazing and perform as good if not better.
i think what Tiff is trying to say towards the end of this video is that this car feels more German (like audi for example) rather than a proper Italian supercar. It doesn't look dramatic enough , it does sound loud enough and doesn't certainly doesn't feel Italian enough!
Is this guy drunk? Does not look dramatically different from the old car? LOL. I know looks are subjective but this is arguably the best looking lambo to date
I disagree about the paddle shifters. I prefer mine on the column, that way i know where they always are while i am steering. Always at 3 and 9 o'clock.
You don't want to fuck around on that road. Clarence Drive is well known for the fatal accidents, plenty of cars in the sea around that stretch of coast, plenty of bikers maimed or killed. BUT, beautiful to take a slow cruise...I've done plenty of fishing along there, and many many picnics.
Love this car. It's super fast sexy and not over the top. To say the same guy loves the 458 looks but not this hurucan is just kidding himself. Hurucan all day. And the sound of this thing wooowwwww!
Tommy Fletcher yeah, u like the MATTE BLACK right?? but did all of u guys see all those ROCK CHIPS in the paint finish?? sticks out like a sore thumb 2 me
93remix Yeah no doubt. And knowing what any kind of scrubbing/polishing can do (make it look more shiny in that spot) I can say I would never, ever want a matte-finish paint job. Maybe a matte vinyl wrap, but not paint. No way.
Great review fella. I like your happy narrative. But look...if you dont want it ill have it. But can you spray it electric green first please. Cheers, Steve
This was around when Tiff started becoming a cranky old git. He used to give contradictory remarks on cars and everything from their boots to their a/c vents to their steering wheel design lol. Him and Plato bickering was funny
The Huracan is growing on me. Initially I thought it looked a little generic, but the consensus seems to be that it's the best driver's Lambo ever, and in person the looks are plenty dramatic.
With the Top Gear drought I've had more time to watch and appreciate Fifth Gear. The production value has increased so much since I last watched and it's a damn good show now.
The looks are ok. Not a problem. As a driving car most reviews say it handles shit on a track. It's basically for people who can't drive Quoting Chris Harris on that.
Well AWD will generally pull more speed through a turn if tuned correctly, but RWD makes the track experience a lot harder, which I will say makes it a lot more fun
Muhlis Goktas he only said that the facts were better, he never mentioned if it any of them was better or worse in real life. Though I believe he would've taken the Ferrari since he didn't like the looks of this car, it wasn't so furious in sound and feeling and it understeered a lot which takes the fun out of the car. Can't say he was disappointed, though the car never matched his expectations when talking about thrill and excitement, so I really do believe he would have the Ferrari 458 instead
I drive an electric car but I love car design. The Huracan is incredible and seems every reviewer loves it, except 5th gear, they seem just lukewarm about it.
Tiff is my idol the exicement of him is all same for more than 20 years but I don't agree with his conflicts about Huracan Huracan takes my attention day by day with performance and style the only missing point is circuit performance
Anton Kalliokoski it does! The Huracan has faster acceleration than the Aventador because its heavier. The Aventador catches up eventually because more HP. The huracan has a dual clutch system with faster shifts than the Aventadors single clutch.
I don't quite understand how Tiff can say with a straight face that the Huracan does not look edgy enough when the car looks like a jet fighter and is about as exotic looking as they come!
I have to disagree with Tiff on the looks. This might be the best looking car on sale today in my opinion.
Jan-Michael Franklin Tiff's not known for his sense of style he just drives.
Jan-Michael Franklin looks are always subjective
Redemz This
Its my favorite from them all, apart from the veneno prototype
Alberto NineThreeTwoFour I think the Veneno looks horrible. The Sesto Elemento (I think that's how it's spelled) is an amazing looking car.
I don't agree on the critics on the paddles to be fixed on the steering column. To me that makes more sense than having them turning with the steering wheel. On the column it is always in the same place.
So in the cars I drive I very much like the paddles to stay fixed on the column.
I love this Lambo. I do however, miss the older deep dish rear wheels of the earlier models. Just personal taste. :)
Beautiful road! That scenery... gorgeous!
+White Wing STI One of the many reasons I moved to Cape Town. It's beautiful here :)
Probably one of the most beautiful car I've ever seen
Alfa Romeo 4c
nice car.....what an aggressive design it have.....

One of the most ugly car ive ever seen
*one of the ugliest car I've ever seen.Learn English mate and go spread your negativity somewhere else
Totally disagree with Tiff on the looks and sound. On those two aspects, this car is one of the finest!
+Roman Miah It's only on idle he thinks it sounds like a sewing machine - at full tilt it sounds incredible..
it may sound good, but it looks not incredible as Gallardo

Also worth well watching Roadkill from the motortrend stable btw, if you are into auto lunacy.
+Luka Henigman Have you tried XCARFilms UA-cam Channel? It's pretty good.
Fantastic views fantastic city. Cape Town is awesome.
It seem people either like or hate the looks of the Huracan.
Laurynas S. Nobody really hates the looks. Some people just hate because they know they'll never be able to afford one.
Schleberger Yea maybe 'hate' is not a word to use here, 'dislike' is more appropriate I think.
Laurynas S. It's growing on me, the colour seems to be hugely influential not like the Aventador which looks stunning in any colour.
+Laurynas S. I've never met anyone who hated it. It's a beautiful car!

yeah if i wanted edginess i'd buy a car on ebay under 1k

Beautifully shot in a gorgeous scenery. the main shape of the car always reminded me of Lamborghini's Desto Elemento.

3,2 seconds is inaccurate. It goes faster to 60 than the 488 and has been clocked at 2,8. In dragraces it is as fast as an Aventador

DankKronix For track use you better use something else then. Lamborghinis are AWD which is not exciting at all on a track.

the only missing point is circuit performance
the huracán goes from 0-62 in 2.5 seconds not 3.2
Maybe it does 3.2 in strada mode??
dude even an aventador takes 2.9 seconds
It definitely does not do 0-100km/h in 2.5...
Anton Kalliokoski it does! The Huracan has faster acceleration than the Aventador because its heavier. The Aventador catches up eventually because more HP. The huracan has a dual clutch system with faster shifts than the Aventadors single clutch.
Anton Kalliokoski I meant the Aventador is heavier.
