I think shotguns in general are the most flexible and interesting weapon class in R2. There's so many ways to build these shotguns from sniper shotgun sporebloom to shotswapping with Provisioner's Ring, to scaling well with ammo mods or reload speed, to status/fire damage on the Sparkfire from the DLC. Shotguns are truly the most fun in R2 imo.
I honestly really like the style of this video! You go over each gun, what their weaknesses are, and a pretty unique build for each one to fix their shortcomings. I really appreciate that the builds you made aren't like every other "This build DESTROYS Apocalypse" and are actually unique and pretty fun to run! Thank you for the quality content!
I'm so happy you make videos like this, when you first started, you were my guide to everything I ever needed to know in Remnant. Now, I can't play Remnant 2 but I want to know more about it through you.
Knowing that so many weapons are viable in this game with the wide range of build options makes Remnant 2 one of the best games of all time, there's so much thought and care that goes into it. I can't wait for the DLC.
Thanks for the video. I combined the bulldog with the rupture cannon and equipped the provisioner ring so I basically never have to reload. My archetypes were alchemist/gunslinger. I used meat shake, mudtooths tonic, bark extract and tranquility font. Super tanky because of all that, freeing me up to have damage amulets and rings. When you use bullet storm and rupture cannon, that thing slaps! I had no problem in apocalypse with that setup. I wish rupture cannon was automatic all the time, though, because swapping from one that's automatic to one that isn't kinda messes you up until you get used to it.
Yeah I know how that feels 😆 getting used to the auto-fire from bulletstorm on a semi-auto weapon and then holding the trigger after it ends as you end up just staring at a boss lol.
Good ol' HuIn snipebloom. It's real fun messing with mist dash there if you're not fond of the shield setup, and it pumps more lifesteal, although it certainly has less of a buffer for oneshots. The coach gun build is wacky though. I dig it. Bulldog build will be real nasty with Ritualist, too. Thoroughly insane.
something to note for sporebloom and coachgun ive seen a setup with gunslinger and stowed weapon reloading that let you quickswap between a single shot sidearm and your primary to skip the reload bottleneck for DPS.
Love the video man, a suggestion to your question at the end of the video, maybe make a H.U.G.S optimal build and go over it shortly showing damage etc. then heavily showcase a much more interesting build, even if it’s not as good, you build crafting is so cool, can’t wait for the next one
Not sure, I've been thinking that since the steam pages mentions all 3 dlcs being released within the first year of launch, they'll prob spend 3-4 months on each dlc. That would mean we probably still have 2-3 months until the first one drops, but we'll see what they have planned.
From what I’ve seen, it’s the same issue that affected shotguns and the devastator in remnant 1 on launch. Multi-projectile weapons are rolling the proc multiple times. I believe it has something to do with enemy hit boxes. It’s very evident on bosses like the ravager who have multilayered/complex hitboxes.
Excellent, as usual. Is it possible to do a high damage - Lifesteal/Health Regen build with the Sporebloom? My big problem is aiming at smaller sized targets with the Sporebloom when the reticle is reduced to a pinhead. I've had to enable a large reticle via my monitor's software, which is a big eyesore. Look forward to your future builds, whatever they are. Cheers, Harry.
I could probably tweak the build I used in this one to have even better life steal/regen. I’d probably drop diverting heart and use tranquil heart (love that one for the passive hp regen) and then invest into triage, regrowth, and prob run all life steal and regen trinkets. I wish there were more blue fragments that could boost our life steal/regen. We have healing effectiveness and max hp, maybe just one more for either a flat health regen or 1-2% base damage life steal option could be nice.
Great vid ,but on the bloom hits for way more than 1200 you can easily get 10k a shot, also nobody will tell you this but if you actually press the reload in between shots with a spore Bloom it's two times faster
Yeah I was showing that 1200 is the base weak spot max on your average target with no buffs whatsoever. And yeah for single shot weapons tapping reload as soon as you fire lets you reload much sooner. Really nice for squeezing out as much damage as possible.
That would be wind hollow circlet. It's a ring found in yaesha dungeon injectables, I believe specifically the ones where the root gunner enemies spawn. It gives +12% reload speed, not insane but it is a super comfy ring to run on a lot of builds.
Definitely! I think it’s my new favorite of the shotguns. I like running one of the elemental bullet mods and then fetid/twisting wounds to have a triple status shotgun lol. Works amazingly with ritualist as you’d expect.
Archetypes: Ritualist/Hunter (Miasma/Hunter’s Mark) Trinkets: Talisman of the Sun or Chains of amplification Ahanae Crystal Time keeper’s Jewel Alumni Ring Singed ring Mod/Mutator: Overflow and Fetid Wounds Fragments: Ranged crit chance, ranged crit damage and elemental damage on your relic of choice. Traits: Expertise, Spirit, Handling This should give you some really good damage output from the sparkfire. Miasma will setup your full bonus from ahanae crystal. Singed ring makes sense since your enemies will always be on fire. Alumni ring since all of your damage will be elemental. Timekeepers jewel for the increased status duration. Overflow and fetid wounds let you apply shock and corrosive dots on top of your burning one. Talisman of the sun lets you improve your weapons shots and dot damage, and chains of amplification give all your damage a nice boost. Up to personal preference I suppose. You could also swap out singed ring or alumni ring for utility or defensive options if you’d prefer.
@WryHarpy Excellent! Thank-you for the detailed response. I'll work towards this. Do you think spread reduction makes a big difference for this shotgun or is it more about status application?
Sorry for the late response, if you max out Hunter, or any archetype for that matter, you'll unlock the ability to invest points into it when the archetype isn't equipped! It's pretty nice especially since I love leveling Triage from medic for increased healing.
Use amulet that boosts explosion and the ring that geneeate mod from status effect = unlimited mod and flame status with every normal shot . One shots every weak enemy

Oh thank god a weapon ranking by someone who won’t complain about reload speed

Respect the Bulldog fam
Love this Difference engine Sporebloom build. You smart guy!
Yaaaaa im glad i found this! Remembar seeing your remnant 1 apocalypse tested
Loved the video and it’s format!🙌

I like to play Double barrel with Bandit since its always funny to shoot 6 rounds and still be able to shoot

Yeah sidewinder is nuts for quick swapping setups. Bolt Jamison has an insane speed kill on Shrewd using it.
Wow i love this community of awesome people.
My personal favorite is the double barrel, I use root lash and bandit on it.

Great vid! Id love to see rifles next.
Liked this style of video a lot 👍.
very entertaining to watch while eating
I once got 7 shots in a row using Bandit on the Coach Gun.
I then proceded to not get any more for roughly 7 minutes...
Such is the life of a bandit mutator user 😭
I thought I was subscribed, how am I not subscribed?
Rifles next please also would love some meme builds
Ooooooh man I gotta do some meme builds now 👀
@@WryHarpy yes please!
I loved your rfta shotgun video and was wondering if you would do another one for r2….I’m so happy😊
I call Hunter/Gunslinger the Huntslinger instead of Hugs, but honestly Hugs has got some charm to it
Ooo I like the sound of huntslinger
Sweet, can't wait for more Apocalypse Tested! Especially exited for melee weapons. Random, do you know when the first DLC releases?

Out of curiosity how is bandit bugged for sporebloom cause this weapon is my fav when it comes to the bandit mutator.

Wait, Flash Caster affects DIE HARD? What? That's kind of awesome. I had no clue.
Yeah I was surprised when I saw how fast the animation was with it leveled😆

Whats tge bottom ring on the last build under alumni, zania, and singed rings?
That would be wind hollow circlet. It's a ring found in yaesha dungeon injectables, I believe specifically the ones where the root gunner enemies spawn. It gives +12% reload speed, not insane but it is a super comfy ring to run on a lot of builds.
@@WryHarpy thanks for the reply, only one I'm missing. Thank you for the great videos as well.
Will you cover the Sparkfire Shotgun? Seems decent so far.
Definitely! I think it’s my new favorite of the shotguns. I like running one of the elemental bullet mods and then fetid/twisting wounds to have a triple status shotgun lol. Works amazingly with ritualist as you’d expect.
Would you have any recommendations for the spark fire shotgun?
Archetypes: Ritualist/Hunter (Miasma/Hunter’s Mark)
Trinkets:
Talisman of the Sun or Chains of amplification
Ahanae Crystal
Time keeper’s Jewel
Alumni Ring
Singed ring
Mod/Mutator: Overflow and Fetid Wounds
Fragments: Ranged crit chance, ranged crit damage and elemental damage on your relic of choice.
Traits: Expertise, Spirit, Handling

@@xSpocKx You could totally run something else, I just habitually run spread reduction lol.
sry new to the game , how did u put points into longshot, wasnt that class exclusive trait?
Sorry for the late response, if you max out Hunter, or any archetype for that matter, you'll unlock the ability to invest points into it when the archetype isn't equipped! It's pretty nice especially since I love leveling Triage from medic for increased healing.

Yeah of course!
