If you want to draw a character in Illustrator, start by tracing the sketch using a stroked outline of 6 points.
Then I've used this illustration dribbble.com/shots/14671603-P... as a reference to sample colors, which made it easier to export the layers in Photoshop, where I could start adding texture.

Hi, i have a silly question. I like to make illustration in AI but adding texture in PTS easier. So if i want to keep file in format. AI, what i have to do, can you give me advice?
hey, honestly it would be great if AI would make it easier to work with custom brushes, but as they are generating paths for each shape vs. raster it's always going to be easier to work in Photoshop. I would just export from Illustrator to PSD at higher resolutions than you need, that way you can make sure everything looks sharp, let me know if that helps :)
