    So it goes like this :
    - Prethoryn Scourge in Vanilla : Eats up half the galaxy and is just barely held at bay by a few surviving empires.
    Looks like it will eat the rest too.
    - Prethoryn Scourge in Beserk AI : Still a threat but nothing too serious really.
    Looks like an average Ravenous Hive on a bad day.
    - Prethoryn Scourge in Glavius AI :
    "Yo, I'm just gonna chill in one system for 400 years."
    Looks like : "Crisis?? What crisis?"
    - Prethoryn Scourge in StarNet AI :
    Survival of the fittest where the Crisis is finally defeated by the survivor of countless wars and insurections.
    Looks like a proper end to an epic game.

      The starnet is interesting for me since it almost seems like the AI "wants" to simplify the game to two-sided battle. At some point all colors just poof, disappear into cyan and blue. even throughout the scourge invasion there are only two empires that took the opportunity to seize powers and become major fighting force.

      The Scourge in StarNet look to be still alive and trying to still get back on their feet. The worlds they are at are decimated.
      It looks like a legitimate space sim RPG set up. Good/easy part of the galaxy, desolate space, and then Scourge holdouts.

    • @Mikalent

      In defense of Glavius, the scourge ran headlong into what I believe was an Awakened Fallen Empire.
      Also if I may interject, they used the scourge, the LEAST threatening of the crisis list, imagine if he let the Unbidden run rampant with those AI.

      Startech AI, made by the same creator that made Starnet, is pretty fun. Much more tech focused. The AI doesn't do war for the first 40 years, but then is much more competitive throughout the game due to its epic tech levels. Much more fun this way imo.

      @@bleflar9183 that's an issue with how AI is coded in stellaris, and while mods can change how the AI views the map and it's objectives, but the base decision making on how to achieve it is still base vanilla.

      @vntzypuh971 4 роки тому +1

      The "fleet" numbers you see on the right is not the actual "fleet power" but the number of ships the empire owns. At year 2400 they have e.g. over 2000 ships, not accounting which types at all, which is way above 400k.

    • @tomduke1297
      @tomduke1297 4 роки тому +1

      @@vntzypuh971 that sounds even less likely, even with only corvettes, these 50k empires would have several millions of fleetpower which is far beyond what an AI empire can muster at 2400 even on maxdifficulty. how sure are you about this claim?

    • @vntzypuh971
      @vntzypuh971 4 роки тому

      @@tomduke1297 Pretty sure because you see the Naval Capacity icon next to the number you are referring to. In the middle you can see the actual firepower the empire has. Another argument from my side would be that you could just go in-game, start a game and spectate it. You will see how it evolves over time and actually is the number of ships an empire owns with the corresponding firepower.

      vanilla: good only for new players, anybody with experience will steamroll it
      berserk: not too much difference from above
      glavius: the AI is a bit better at everything, so they hired the guy that made this mod to work on the vanilla AI
      starnet: the AI actually can and WILL kill you (they are very agressive, there is a version of starnet where its tuned down a bit)
      basically play the game on vanilla untill you understand how bad the AI is and you beat them easily (sometimes it can take as low as two-three games) and install starnet to see real competition
      maybe you can beat starnet on GA but it requires some heavy minmaxing, post a game where you beat max amount of AI on a small galaxy because that would require some heavy skill

      @@CraftyDWB It is doable. But not with all Advanced Starts on for StarNet (advanced neighbours will screw you over unless you can diplo your way through).
      Honestly? If you tech well and go very expansionist, your chances are relatively good. Even if the crisis is set relatively early. I set mine 100 years early for a normal run where I was running a sizeable military with bio ascension instead of synths and my fight against the Unbidden ended in a response from all my fleets which managed to kill 16M fleet power in a single system on their war path. I lost a ton of ships, but dealing with the remaining 6M wasn't exceptionally more difficult. And I had to rebuild after half my navy got deleted in a War in Heaven 15 years earlier (League of Non-Aligned powers as a trade league is kinda OP)
