Magic video.. fabulous part of Tassie. pedals with Allen key access saves having to carry too many types of tools...remove broken bit...then jam in a tough bit of wood for a makeshift spindle...
So proud of what my home state has done with these trail networks. Done Bier Tier three times, have to get back home to do the run to the beach, looks awesome. Bad luck with the pedal mate, bummer.
I am so glad I found this video. We are going to be riding this a week from now. I am rethinking what I am going to take, (like lots of water and energy gels, for sure). I always carry tyre stuff, chain links and a derailleur hanger on long rides, but you are never going to see a broken pedal spindle coming, and with that mother climb ahead of you too! Amazing job, well done mate!
mannnnnnn this video was SWEETTT the trails here looks amazing ... you handled that broken pedal like a CHAMP!!! I definitely would be panicking lmao ... def gonna subscribe
Amazing effort dude! We did this trail 13th Feb and it was a different story. Drizzling at the top and hot at the end but nothing like the heat you had. We also had ebikes and the fireroads were a lot easier. Wish you could see the last 10 with your bike in good shape. Kudos to that ride man!
@@Froff yeah dude, it looked fucking mint! I would’ve jumped on that shuttle and gone straight back to the top for another hit!😉 at least you can say you did the whole trail! Even without the snapped pedal…. It looked brutal!!
Great video! I rode that trail last month and snapped my front brake lever off about 20km in after a crash… not as tough as your mechanical but feel your pain!
Hey mate great video, sorry to hear you've had a bad run with a blown shock (big bucks), the hanger and a pedal. quick tip you shouldn't throw away banana peels in the bush because they affect wildlife if they eat them. i just chuck mine in a plastic bag in my backpack but they kinda stink. Cheers
@@Froff yeah i just learnt from throwing apples on me daily ride then they eventually grow into wild apple trees. Bananas dont do that but they bring insects and infect it which is good if somethin eats it.
Mate that’s an epic ride to do - first 13 is super flow fun but the back half is proper cross country style and you had it way hotter and one less pedal than when I did it - well done and great to see this on video just shows how shit can change really quick!! Enjoy the rest of Tassie
Wow, what a battle of a ride, well done! I did it a month ago on my own too, trying to take it easy but the top 13 just sucks you in to trail speed that see's you looking to gap stuff haha! Just found your channel. The content and way you present it mint. Thanks🤙
Well, I knew you weren’t going to die because you got your vid up but that was a stressful watch in any case. Thanks so much for showing us some of the bitchin trails Tassie has to offer.
I just did this trail a week ago and it left me speechless. I had already done Blue Tier and the scenery on Bay Of Fires left me thinking I was back home in Victoria. Loving your videos!
So I watched this video before I did Bay of Fire trails and I just did it last week.... Bro I feel for you so bad.. My chain snapped 28KM so I had to push the ebike 9km or so before the descent. Especially feel for you as you didn't have a pedal! Absolutely amazing trails though.
Faark Froff thats never a good situation to be in, made even worse by the heat, you eventually start questioning your own sanity huh.. Broken pedal aside that was a good watch. Keep it rolling champ.
Dude. I had a similar thing happen with my ebike. Same spot and motor failed. Walk and ride very slowly about 8 kms and she came back to life. Did not stop till the beach in case it happened again. Love the vids bro🤘😁🤘.
sorry to hear about another broken essential bike component. (sucks balls). Nothing worse when you're not close to home. I would love to hear your thoughts comparing the coil to airshock. I always thought the coil would be better for heavy trails. So if you could make a little video that would be cool

Legit one of my favorite channels! Keep up the great editing and vibes
Thanks heaps dude! Appreciate it!

How’d you go?!
I’m pretty well prepared generally, but yeah this is the first time I’ll consider carrying spare pedals. 😂
mannnnnnn this video was SWEETTT the trails here looks amazing ... you handled that broken pedal like a CHAMP!!! I definitely would be panicking lmao ... def gonna subscribe
Thanks heaps dude! I was panicking on the inside 😅
This was entertaining as in hindsight to you not dying . More Bear Froff in the future please
Maybe in the next bear Froff I’ll drink my own urine! Stay tuned 😎 cheers tentpimp!
Wowee it’s like the biking gods are trying to tell you something! Some rough luck this trip!
I think it’s the operator 🤣
Definitely need to keep a good light cheap plastic pedal in ya bag as a spare. Bloody unlucky! Happend to me on a rock roll. Such a sick trail
Not a bad idea mate! I’ll probably forget and suffer again 😂

Thanks heaps mate, I have to go back and have another crack now haha
Fark dude! Froff that was epic, the first half of the trail looked spectacular.👌🏼. Super unlucky to snap that pedal. Killer vid dude✌🏼
Thanks Jules! The first half was the funnest flow trail I’ve ever ridden!
@@Froff yeah dude, it looked fucking mint! I would’ve jumped on that shuttle and gone straight back to the top for another hit!😉 at least you can say you did the whole trail! Even without the snapped pedal…. It looked brutal!!
brings back so many good memories!!! best riding
So good mate!
Fark man, what an epic! Well done for finishing it off!
Thanks Phil! Hopefully see you at 🍍express this year!

Thanks for the tip Hamish! You learn something every day. I always thought I was doing the right thing by throwing them in the bush 🤦♂️

Absolute epic adventure ride, and through the set back you still made it, thanks for sharing the highs and lows, great edit 🤘🤘
Thanks dude! It was a rough trot but the swim at the end made it worth it 🥵
So is it snowy in Winter? That would be double epic. Great vid! Can you dial a lift if you need? At least if wasn't your leg that broke...
One adventure you won't forget in a hurry! Great video.
Cheers mate!
Love your videos they are great.
Cheers dude!
Cool vid. Keeping your shit together when things don’t go to plan is important. Good work
Thanks heaps mate, it was a ride to remember haha

Jeeez that was suspense plus
glad it all worked out
and made for an epic adventure
great video mate 🤙🤙
Cheers Noodles!
That’s was an awesome story of survival dude !! Well done mate 🍻
Cheers mate! But your crash over the road gap in Buller was was the ultimate story of survival. You mad dog 🐶

Having done this trail in the middle of summer, I felt for you massively!
A great place with great trails Froff, but I'd be pissed if I had to walk them all because my pedal broke. Fantastic shots. Take care mate
It’s all good mate, all part of the journey 😅

Thanks Yoshi! It’s a great trail to ride/push
@@Froff Haha yeah I did lots of walking considering I'm a bad climber.

Far out mate that’s brutal, and pushing an Ebike !

Awesome vid! That climb is a fair grind with two pedals!
Thanks Nik! 💯
That was absolutely brutal but you’ve made an awesome video through all that. Another sick vid Froffer 👊 That was a hell of a good edit.
Thanks bro! Appreciate it!

Hahaha that sounds more brutal than my experience! Those things weigh a tonne. Glad you made it out in one piece mate!
Keep up the great work man so unfortunate
So unfortunate 😅 thanks mate!
Sick vid, I miss read it at first, thought u said I broke my back again.
Not this time mate 😂
Yeah new video!
👍
We are doing this tomorrow and taking a spare pedal just in case :)
Hahah enjoy guys! The top 13 is one of the greats.
I'm blown away Froff, unreal!
great to watch and full on with the pedal, omg, what brand was the pedal?
Not sure mate, a shit one obviously and she’s in the bin 😂
@@Froff Yeah, would have been impossible to improvise , must have felt so good to when you got back, good work dude 😉

Yeah I’ll go back to the coil once it’s rebuilt mate. That’s an awesome idea, I’ll see how I go! Thanks 🙏🏿
Sick! Spewing about the pedal! What mtb app you using on your phone mate?
Thanks dude! I use trail forks and Strava 😎
0:31 when hit the skooma too hard
Where is the Carpark to start the 40km? Also can u drive up your own car to it or do you have to shuttle? Thanks
From memory The car park at the top is called the Blue tier. You can drive your own car! No dramas mate
I was feeling for you Jaron! Epic adventure and breaking you pedal 🤯 ...what did you hit for the pedal to come off?
I didn’t feel it hit anything mate it snapped while pedalling uphill. Too much craft beer 🍺
@@Froff 🤣🤣🤣
You should do a stack compilation
I did one mate, but it’s not very good 😂
ua-cam.com/video/F8TJiR4-09I/v-deo.html
@@Froff you should try one again you would probably have way more now🤣
Not sure if MTB Tasmania or Man Vs Wild Tasmania Edition
😂😂 bit of both
I know we aren’t allowed to fly drones in TAS…just ask for forgiveness for promoting their trails 👍
Broke your bike ????????? No. You broke a pedal. Always carry a spare pair.
