- I was invited out to Nashville for the first time to Music City Multicon. Games, Comics, Anime and more. I was joined by Metal Jesus Rocks and Nintendrew as well as a host of gaming developers. My best friend in high school lives near by so it gave us a chance to hang out like ol' times.
Here's what I saw, what I ate and what it was like being there at the con.

So happy you finally made it out to our neck of the woods!! Always a blast hanging out with you. Don't be a stranger! 😄
Here we don't have conventions or fairs of anything except vinyl records which I don't get into. It's so neat that you record footage in these conventions for us that can't go. Outstandingly awesome video John!👍
That copy of “Double Back” and “Star Blaze” look like they are for the TRS-80! Now THAT’S old school!
Omg I remember our interaction at the chainmail booth! The admiration is very appreciated!
It was awesome meeting you at Music City Multicon. You and Metal Jesus are very cool dudes and hope to meet you guys again
You never know!
It was an awesome time to finally meet you! Thank you for a great video and supporting that awesome shirt you’re wearing! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
12:40 that guy's pronunciation of Ikari kills me
This vid was truly awesome dude!!! Seeya on the next one!!!
Also, John that double back was for the Tandy TRS-80
I love seeing random cameos of other youtubers i follow!
Any cool conventions I should visit in the future?
Awesome!! I live 2hrs from Nashville. I’m in Crossville Tn. Home of the new Bucee’s gas station! Have fun in Nashville Mr. Riggs!
Nothing better than those shiny gold carts. I admit to having a few myself, I just can't rationalize trading them for anything else.
This was fun and funny all the way to the end . 😂 glad u enjoyed your day John .
John u should get a an attachment that hooks up to your backpack strap so u can use both hands if need be. Lots of streamers have them. Something to check out maybe.
I see more and more filming with those chest straps and go-pro. I just use my phone for everything.
I live just outside of Danville IL. That looks like a rental sticker from our local grocery store IGA.
That guy with the muchstach who gives you things maybe loves you a little too much :D
It was a slow show.
Man, those prices are amazing compared to any conventions in Southern California. Also, great to see Shadowgate. I loved that game when I was a kid.
Stargate was a macguffin in an episode of News Radio and of course everyone remembers Karate Champ from the film Bloodsport
Some of those games you picked up I ended up buying. Like that roughed up Bigfoot and the Dark Cavern. Ivan gave me some great deals at that shop! And thank you for showing off my little NanoCabs John! You're awesome!
those NanoCades are great!
These are my fav Riggs videos
You never had UTZ chips I'm bamboozled
We don't have them in the northwest. We have other stuff on the shelf.
I try to go to Retro World Expo in CT every year but the last couple times was pretty disappointing, not because of the content, just how the convention was put together was odd. Anyway, even though I was let down, your con videos always get me excited to get out there again. Would def love to see you at RWX sometime!
These Con videos have become my favorite of yours. With 2 kids under 4 and the pandemic in recent years, it give me a chance to live vicariously. Thanks for making these.
Thank you for sharing this video with us!
Thanks for the adventure. Can't wait to see what you will do with all the Zelda games :) I wish we had all the colorful Famicom cartridges in North American like how they had in Japan. At least the new NES stuff has different colors.
God Bless You JohnRiggs!
Thank you for this video I feel like it's been forever since I seen a fun video like this
I was close enough to go to this con but we were celebrating my lady’s birthday so I had to pass. Hopefully next year! Looks like a fun time.
Man I just picked up Gradius for Famicom last week. Awesome game. Had never seen it before. I got Gradius III for Super Famicom a few weeks ago which I hadn't seen since I was probably 12. I beat it the other day, next on my list is Gradius 2! Cool to see it in the wild. There are sadly no places where I live to find games. So online it is for me!
The radio shack cart belongs to the trs 80 color computer series. They had games on cassette, cartridge, or disk drive, or type your own, but vanilla was just cartridge based, like a console.
Awesome video man. Love seeing this stuff. Like to go to more of these.
5 copies of Legend of Zelda are never overkill, it's my favorite game franchise so good you can find them so readily. I just hate that game collecting has gotten so expensive instead of still fun.
"Oh there's that guy" LOL
I'm 42, born in 1980 from Saudi Arabia. I played all console games,
Atari 1987
Family computer 1988
Sega Mega Drive 1993
Super Nintendo 1996
Sega Satron 1997
Goldstar 3D 1997
PlayStation One, 1998
Dreamcast Sega 2000
Playstation 2 2001
Playstation 3 2009
Playstation 4 2014
Love a con video.... The CSI arcade game, looks similar to Chase HQ. Minus the shooting
I love that batman chain mail
Man I love track and field 2. Had the nes advantage and just killed it.
Everytime Riggs finds a bargain bin, i see "Iron Sword", the best $5 you'll every spend on an NES game, under-rated gem
@14:10 must be a cart for a Tandy computer. Where's The 8-Bit Guy?
One of my favorite "tubers" over the years. Great job as usual.
Awesome video John. I felt like I was there!
Big thumbs up to those who get the Dr Who, don't blink reference.
THE IMAGE OF AN ANGEL BECOMES AN ANGEL!!!!!!
Dude thanks for signing the game and showing my bearded face in there. 😂
cool seeing Warren Davis - I talked to him and bought his book at CORGS earlier this year
He's such a cool guy.
Special Criminal Investigation came out for Sega Master System. It's PAL but system is region free. I own it! 😃
11:32 Yo that's me!
Dr. Pepper started in Waco TX in 1885
Yeah Tennessee is where Mountain Dew came from. And Dr. Enuf but that's still only a local thing.
@17:40 MCMC recorded all the panels and will release them eventually.
I could be wrong but I think I have special crime investigation for the PC engine.
I love these longer videos :)
COOL PIC DRAWING!!!
Oh! Kumite in tennessee. That's where "who's b*tch this is!?!?!?" Took place!
My bank account would suffer tremendously
John goes and offends a CDX by calling it a CD-i.
Nice Tablecloth Riggs..I love Rainbows that suits yuo very well xD
Wish we would’ve conventions like this in Austria v.v
@johnriggs how are YOU feelin? Another great video.
Those games themselves may be Japanese, but I believe their titles are written in Chinese: Fire Soccer (燃焼足球) and Airplane (飛機).
Yes! Thank you Ian. I hope the games still work.
Awesome video man 😎!
Time Lord is awesome....A hidden RARE Ware Gem IMO
Did anyone else see the pooper on that stormtrooper ? 👀
bounty hunter, and good looking out
Great job vlogging this one. Lots of content!
I have a bunch of Gameboy cases of you need em. I switched to custom game cases.
Sick Dark Knight shirt.
That wasn't Famicom Detective Club, it was The Portopia Serial Muder Case.
The original home console computer adventure/novel game! haha
ooh, even more fun!
Hattie B's is the tourist spot to eat nashville hot chicken. Natives go to princes hot chicken. It's the original and is fantastic.
I definitely want a copy of zelda
Good ole weeping angels 💀
Game trader in Nashville is a great retro store next time your in town
Your link to the past.
Great catch phrase!
I love all the zelda stuff
Gradius II for famicom? I would've lost my mind.
Sweet Karate Champ game play. Loved that game growing up.
I was so tempted to visit this year, but work had other plans. :/
Still, I hope you enjoyed yourself in my neck of the woods.
Can't go wrong with Hattie B's!
I still need a copy of the original. Love the series and I was born the same day this released in Japan and I've never taken the time to beat it! Travesty.
No Blinkin convention :)
So i updated my evercade vs today and if you wouldn't know the new gotm is your game. Looking forward to indie heroes 2.
Wow rare you see a Space Invaders cab without cigarette burn marks where the buttons are. John, your not supposed to turn your back on the statue, don't you watch Dr. Who?!? Doubleback was released for the Radio Shack Color Computer. Dark Cavern is an Atari 2600 cart.
We need one of these in Oklahoma...maybe we have them but I'm out of the loop
OK used to have something. A quick drive to Texas has a few.
Awesome 🤩
Right out of the gate, I would like to say that this con most definitely is NOT in Nashville Tennessee.
It's in Lebanon Tennessee.
Almost an hour east of Nashville.
Nashville has become too expensive for nerd conventions. It's all trade shows that are booked 4 years in advance. GMX closed, Hypericon closed, Wizard World closed, Heroes and Villains moved, Walker Stalker Con moved, Phreaknic closed.
And it's only a 20 minute drive from the Nashville airport unless it's rush hour. I timed it.
@@IRMacGuyver that's because the Nashville International Airport also isn't in Nashville.
It's a bit west of Mt. Juliet.
And for you get from there to the Fiddler's Grove convention center in Lebanon in anything approaching 20 minutes, you must've drove like an absolute maniac, because if you drive the speed limit the whole time, then it takes about 40 minutes.
very cool
Streets of rage 2, I beat it as a teen, told my parents about it and. Fart... Good for you son. 😐
Probably one of the most under rated shows in the USA.
No Dont even blink!!!😳
metal Jesus hype
SCI did come to consoles as Chase HQ didn't it?
Cool video games
Was that Metal Jesus at the end?
@19:40 CDX not CD-i Don't burn Sega like that.
I'm very confused Questions comments concerns LOL But I do wonder what's with all of the legend of Zelda games
You'll see soon enough :)
I totally forgot about this...🤦♂️
Is this still going on? I would love to go since I'm literally 40 minutes away lol
Saw your camio on Gabo the giver chanel
You'd be crazy NOT to buy every single one of those games.
Nice
