Always enjoy seeing you in MJRs videos. What a cool friendship you guys have. I’m a little upset myself. I’m 34, and none of my friends really collect or game like you guys do. I have some friends in the hobby, but we never spend any time like you guys. I’m a bit envious, but it’s fun to live vicariously through you guys!
I love watching you buying stuff out of your pocket instead of mine.
Nice compliment to John Riggs as well as a slight to MJR… nice comment 👍🏻
I see MJR buy loads of stuff with his own cash
@@JohnRiggs Not sure if I believe you because you also said in this video that you eat modestly at home... lol
He flips the stuff. He buys the 5 dollar stuff and then puts it up on whatnot in bundles.
Sac expo was amazing, nice to see you there Mr Riggs, great scores by the way.
Happiness
You the realist!
zombie nation going for $750 these days?? if so i might list mine lol
@@JohnRiggs 🙏🙏
3:45 the developer of PP#2 is a long-time friend of mine so I was pretty stoked to hear that he got to get you a copy! the con looked fun one of these days the wife and I will plan to come up that way and go to it!
This video made my day! these game hunting videos of yours are my absolute favorite.
I love your game hunting vids! Hunt on and happy holidayzzz!!
Nice! I love not only the content of this video but also the editing - no boring stuff, only the meat. Keep it up John!
Yeah, I figure people would be skipping ahead anyways so I did the skipping for them.
Hey John. I love seeing the growth of your page. Congratulations. I hope your babies are doing well. Mr. Armstrong.
Hello Mr. Armstrong!! The kids are all doing great. All in high school now, if you can believe it.
literally my favorite type of John Riggs videos. another great one! Thanks John
Awesome meeting you at this expo John!
Always!!
Piles of leaves = leaf vacuum trucks. We've got 'em here in Portage, too. :)
I knew someone would know.
I always like this Video Game Hunting videos ! Thanks !
How dare you, Kris. NHL 95 is an AMAZING game.
...and so is NHL '96
Yep! 95 had full stat tracking and beefier season mode.
Happy holidays riggs
Same to you and more of it!
Seeing you at conversions in my favourite kind of video!
The portion of the World where I live is empty of events like these, so watching your videos is a nice mental trip for me.
Great recap! Was awesome talking with you. Looking forward to your future con-vlogs!
LOL yes Sac has a specific machine that drives around called the claw that scoops up all the piles of leaves. Sac is known as
the city of trees so yeah we have a ton of leaves also
how fun
Thanks for coming to an event in my area. I live in Stockton CA which is 35 to 45 minute drive from Sacramento. I've been that that venue often selling my artwork at comic book shows put on there.
22.5 minutes of pure meaty content.. Worth your time people!!
So many goodies great convention! Thanks for showing your adventures at the convention for those of us that can't go. Cool video John!👉😃👈
Awesome to know someone else loves congo bongo as much as I do. Use to play the hell out of it at our local movie theater back in the day. Love the sound effects and music
Sac Gamers Expo was so much fun! Chris and yourself had me cracking up during your panel. I’m the guy that said Weetabix is the cereal I would eat for the rest of my life and bought Turtles Connection from you. I can’t wait until next time so I can buy more home brews from you. Merry Christmas!
Weetabix! You brave lad... Thanks for being at the panel!
lol tbh weetabix does slap when u have enough milk..lol
I made it in the video! Playing Dreamcast in the free play lounge. Was a great expo!
I had a great time! Can never go wrong with playing Dreamcast.
Enjoyed thanks for sharing Riggs. 😁👍✌️😎
Dude I don’t know why but I love all of your videos. Keep it up homie
Buddy's just zoned out and then to top it off starts picking his nose on vid hahaha. Cracks me up
Oh man! I live in Sacramento! So cool that you were here! Hope you had a great time! Edit: Jim Power was an odd game and could give you motion sickness, but the soundtrack was AMAZING. Chris Huelsbeck, Turrican 3 era.
It was so cool seeing you at the expo!
The algorithm introduced me to you and now I'm stuck here. Looking forward to more fun content!
ooh, I have LOTS of stuff in the past from fixing broken games (if you were curious why someone handed me a broken game), ranking games based on publisher and a lot more.
It was great getting to meet you. I hope you enjoy your copy of Pixel Poops Number Two. 💩
Thanks again for selling me that 2nd copy for my buddy. Can't wait to stream it on Twitch.
Awesome stuff man!
Virtual Bart on SEGA Genesis I need that
Time for video game hunting again!
Lotta cool finds.
Awesome stuff John!
That shapeshifter game looks like Animorphs used to love that show and read the books a couple of times
John, absolute pleasure to meet you and get a signed copy of Yeah Yeah Beebiss II, it looks great on my Nintendo shelf right in the middle. Thank you for taking some time to chat with a expo/con newbie. I thought it interesting that you pointed out that specific MT Punchout, I saw that too... I grabbed a very respectable copy for $30 at another booth. I now have a whole new love/respect for your hunting videos, as I was there for two days and I think you showed me more in this vid than I saw in real life... Thanks again!
Oh! and the game is super fun and easy to start playing, it shows you pretty soon that it doesn't stay "easy". Looking forward into putting in some more screen time.
Love to hear it. Thank you so much for swinging by!
Cool seeing ya on Sunday!
Yeah there’s a big claw machine that goes around and picks up the leaf piles in Sac. Lots of trees, lots of leaves, and less plastic.
Can't wait for the next Open Cart Surgery!!! Need to see what's on the Mystery Cart!!! When is it dropping?
Soon, hopefully. I mean, I can tell what it is when I open it, but I haven't opened it, yet.
@@JohnRiggs but keep the viewers in suspense! 😁
I saw the $5 Chubby Cherub as well 😆
I wish I could have said hi when I was there! I went right after the doors opened. I saw you at your table but I didn’t get a chance to say hi. Maybe next year!
Maybe I'll come back next year. If so, please do!
It's cool you remember Jim Powers the jobber. Me and my brother always said he was the WCW's version of Bret Hart.
I like vidéos like this when you travel to hunt for games
Loom is a really fun and unique game. I loved the musical mechanic. I wish it was released on the PS1 et al.
Piles of leaves are classic suburban northeast code for ‘the truck that sucks them up is coming this week’
The knit gameboy blew my mind! If i ever see that I will grab it!
Dude!! I hope all is well. Hope we can hit up a convention in 2023 together sometime; someplace.
@@JohnRiggs It will 100% be happening!
i really need to attend one of these conventions someday. i haven't seen loom for the turbografx-cd since the system was on sale at toys r us
Don't like onions? That's sacrilege! Lol
Oh dang! When was this?! I wanted to go 😂
The last couple of years it's been the weekend before Christmas. Not sure about next year.
Napolian D Reference there love it!
Pixel poop game is brilliant haha
10:24 That Japanese LCD game is for an old Japanese puppet TV show called Hyokkori Hyōtanjima, a staple for Japanese TV in the late 60s. To say it was pretty popular for a while would be an understatement.
2nd Game Center CX on DS is amazing! That looked like the special edition, so look for the standard to save money. There is a translation patch if you have the means to play that, but I beat it in Japanese when I played it.
I got chiller
There's probably certain days they pick up leaves this time of year. My community has that where they just ask you to put piles of leaves on the edge of the road like that.
18:30 - "Emergency Exit - Do not block" 3 dudes and a table in front of it... 🤦♂
Hold up riggs??? Zombie nation is $750.00 ?????????. I just got this used at a yard sale a few months ago. For $4 each NES game they had 7 games I took all of them. And yes one of them is zombie Nation babyyyyyy.. nicee.who would ever thought a shoot em up game is this much?
Crazy.. thank you bro for this video.
An interesting video, nice to see Master System games being sold, with it no being popular in America.
Hell yea
Clean REPROS galore
No video game con is complete without SWORDS
Lol the booth that was overpriced was from the Bay Area lol 😂
holy crap my buddy in 4th grade had a socrates because his mom was strict and wouldn’t let him have an nes or genesis. i’ve forgotten all about it. cool! (seeing it again that is, not the console itself, it sucked)
Some of those prices seemed high
Ryan (fire & ice games) is such a cool dude. He is who i sold off my saturn, dreamcast and gamecube stuff too. If you ever get a chance to check out his store in Rocklin... DO IT!!!! it is huge and loaded with quality. And Danny (armageddon potato) has been collecting prototypes for a long time. He knows his stuff and has a cool new shop in West Sac (near where i live).
Same guy was trying to unload that CIB Spud's Adventure for Gameboy at Too Many Games for $7800. I guess the price has gone down. Same one on eBay, I believe.
Nice sega genesis and master system deals
I realy need to keep my mouth shut. Just told the other half I saw an animal crossing snow globe in your vid. Now she wants one lol
I'm trying to remember whether or not I knew about Paper Boy 2.
Was there even a price on the Nintendo Zapper Megatron?
SEEEAALLED!
** need help ** playing run sackboy run have 9% on the trophies and yesterday got 10% more sync it from my vita to my ps5, everytime i go to the vita run down trophy collection it keeps repeating the sync motion from 0 to 100% but never transfers to my ps5? ? ?
If you enjoy Fushigi Yuugi, check out Yona of the Dawn.
I like your videos a lot but I wish at the end we would see everything you bought.
Animorphs!
Hi John! Do you ever find nmAtari stuff at these meets? Like 8bit carts? Or 2600/7800/Lynx carts?
Sealed Loom 11:20 ... Now I have Seen it all.
Id open up all those sealed games and play em 🤣but im not paying sealed prices cuz none em worth the crazy prices nowadays
I had never heard of King of the Ring and I thought you were talking about Ring King because when I saw the the sticker art I just thought it was a variant of ring King and that's why it might have been more money but it's not ringing at all it's King of the Ring
Some of these vendors at this expo are smoking crack. 5:10 these are way overpriced, Punch Out & River City Ransom are $30-40, King of the Ring is $20-25 game.
13:42 were you by chance thinking of the game "don't break the ice" ?
John is there any these types of events in Washington State
Sometimes. Seattle has had one in the past. Renton has 'Renton City Retro' as well as a few comic cons and toy expos. Some game stores offer trade nights every once in a while. Best to join the Greater Seattle Retro Gaming FB group.
What was the mystery game?
Damn some them nes games i got for way cheaper at retro game store here man some them ppl like to jack prices up daaaaaamn like tmnt3 for nes i got for under 20 here
I live in sac and had no idea this was happening 😐
woah, for real? Yeah, it's been going on for several years, now. Next year for sure!
I want that shining force he said was $5 loved that game for the genesis i can afford $5 even tho i know it goes for more
-40 here in Fairbanks John. cold
That would be cold.
W😮W some really cool stuff at this convention!
Merry Christmas to you and your family ♥😄
Dat Chrono Trigger 1:44 looking fine as always ♥🥰
Pause at 1:52 😍♥ I would've bought some 😆
I wish you did put the link in the description for Pixel Poops rom.. I also saw Pixel poops on the Steam store btw
I would've bought a Wall-E 😄 (4:11)
My friend has a Pikachu N64 😄 Good times
If I knew how to properly skateboard, I would've bought that Zelda skateboard 😅
Man of high class here 5:35 Very nice 🍕🐢🧐👌🏻
I would've bought one 10:20 ♥
At 1:32 I saw Maniac Mansion 😄 I patched my nes rom, with an uncensored patch that someone made, and I LOVE IT 😆👍🏻
That 50% off deal. I'm happy for you 😄
At 15:34 Socratese. I saw that console.. I don't remember when or where, but I saw it. I was able to play a few things, and I remember liking it. I also remember that I was smoll boy.
5:08 RC Ransom & WWF King of the Ring are $30 loose, MT Punchout is $35-$40.
9:36 I think the Naruto/Hello Kitty thing is from GameStop?
I still want to buy your cereal book but it's always sold out.
I have plenty! I bring them to every convention
Hey Mr Riggs, I love your videos and I've been a subscriber for 2 years. You and others like you inspired me to start a gaming channel. I just need some pointers on editing, like can you edit with your phone or do you need a computer. For example when you edit in game playing footage on a screen above your head. I got a great idea for a channel and I would like to share it with you and see what you think. If there is anyway I can pm you let me know, please I would like some pointers.
Whatever is easiest for you! When I travel I film with my phone, then edit with iMovie because it's free.
@@JohnRiggs thanks man I really appreciate it. So is iMovie an app I can download?
59 for river city ranson is redic. 15 20 tops
Looked like awful prices across the board for the most part
You just gotta shop around, or bring trades.
Kind of funny. Mono = one and Poly = multiple. One multiple?
Lol its link from rhett and link
Jim Power was the best jobber. You do know your wrestling.
The question I have is did you leave with more games than you brought? Lol.
Always.
