I couldn't help the tears, but they were such tears as should be shed, for such joy that has been brought to us through this lovely channel. In a world gone mad with pain and sorrow, they were a beacon of normalcy. May the new year find us all in a better circumstance, with renewed hope for the future.
Thank you for making this crappy year so much easier to cope with by allowing us to join in your lovely lives with your amazing family. Bless you all and a happy new year.
Thank you ladies for all of the joy, for all of the laughter, and for all the hilarious antics as you brought us your many finds. The crafting, the hunting, and most of all the genuine loveliness of your family has blessed me so much this year. May God bless you and bring you even more dolly treasures, and adventures, in the coming year. As for a name for the cloth bodied doll, what about Mary Elizabeth Utterleigh, because she is utterly adorable.
Loved the 'sneak peek' video! I think I get as excited as Kate when I hear her voice rise....knowing it's a wonderful treasure indeed. Can hardly wait to see all revealed....Loved Oscar's face when he was named "Mudlarker of the Day". What a wonderful sharing and caring. The Dump dolls all looked happier, knowing they are being loved once more. Thank you for making 2020 more memorable with positivity and "crafting". Happy New Year to you all!
One of the best things about 2020 was the discovery of the mudlarking world on UA-cam. I even brought you up in my therapy session the other day, saying your mother-daughter hobby sharing was a balm for my struggling soul. Bless you two and your lovely family!
Thank you so much for all the lovely things you brought into this miserable year. You are so talented and artistic! We love your videos, round ups, crafts, etc.Looking forward to more videos. Best of everything to you all in the new year. AZ USA
This gave me such joy to see you bring these back to life. When I was a child I would get hand me down toys.I loved fixing them up and creating beautiful toys again so this is dear to my heart.
Lovely Robin, with an expression of "I dare you to try and stop me", looks to be, not a maid, but a maiden, ready to go on a lark. Reminds me of you, Kate. Bravo on the knitted sweater, Kit/Fleur.
❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️thank you for helping to get us through this horrible, terrible, frightening, sad year.❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️you and your family have gotten us through by taking us outside and entertaining us so well!, we love you!👍🏻❤️🎉here is to a new year with you!
Your dolls are wonderful. It’s sweet you’ve given them names. Dump Baby is my favorite. Charmaine would be my choice for a name. Breathing life to these abandon families is truly a treasure for your watchers. You are so organized for your crafting adventures. Looking forward to new families and treasure hunting. Stay so safe and healthy. Here’s to beads and cheers.
I like dump baby. He doesn’t look sad to me. He looks like he is very content. I remember going through woods at my great grandmothers and finding all kinds of small bottles. She was the only one who showed appreciation for them.
Doll name: Lacey You took my heart when I watched you bringing the dolls to life. If only they could talk. How fitting it was to take them back to the dump. Truly from trash to treasures.
I like your style in filming: close-ups of nature, slow moves, in/out of focus, .....it allows me to experience a sense of being there where you are. I picture myself wandering through the bushes and beaches keeping my eyes peeled for possible treasures. Your talking to each other and to your audience and audible pleasure in finding things along with the nature sounds and calming music....put me in a pleasant state of feeling connected to like/likable people. Now I feel the urge to go larking with someone equally into searching and upcycling.
All of your dump dolls are precious . I have a collection of antique dolls and would be proud to display any one of them amongst her peers. Throughout this year that is passing, the world as we know it has changed so dramatically. There’s been upheaval and death and sadness, loneliness and isolation. But when I look back at this past year, there is also joy and excitement. I have been on wonderful breathtaking adventures and met some fascinating people. I have walked beaches and dug through dumps, journeyed streams and rivers. I have seen beautiful scenery, the flora and fauna of a country far far away. I have found some astounding treasures and artifacts, have learned lots of interesting history of places and people. None of this would have been possible without your channel and my other mudlarking friends in the UK. You all have made this year tremendously better than it would have been. I have watched Kit and Caboodlers grow and flourish and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s impossible to view your excitement and joy without feeling it myself, and if nothing else, for that I thank you. Thank you. As for naming your lovely doll, what about Clara. Clara is a Victorian name meaning “bright and clear”. She has been rescued from the depths of darkness and dirt and is now in the light with her path clear.
Oh my goodness! You have brought a tear to my eye! That is such a lovely comment i`m not sure anything I can say can do it justice! Thank you so so much for all your support it means so much!!! Happy hopefully much better New Year xx
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL FILM - MY HEART FEELS SO CONTENT!!!! GORGEOUS MUSIC, TENDER AND THOUGHTFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP - OH THANK YOU, THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
What a wonderful labor of love!!! Not sure if I could pick a favorite; they are all amazing. As far as a name goes, I automatically thought of Shirley Temple's Curly Top, but that's not very fancy. So how about Elizabeth, or Lizzie for short? I'm sure you all will choose a wonder name for her. Thanks as always for what you do and for sharing. Happy New Year:)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers My late mother's middle name was Elizabeth. I know this is a bit of a late suggestion for a name, but how about Clarissa? That was my late cousin's name [she died before I was born] and her name was the first word I ever spoke. Daddy is convinced that I saw her spirit in our house when I was about two years old or so. I enjoyed this video, and I'm amazed at how talented you both are with your crafting skills. I've never seen a porcelain doll put together before. Kate, you have such a sweet, calm voice and manner about you, your mother does as well. I am still somewhat new to your channel, but I'm enjoying it so keep up the good work. Greetings from a friend in North Carolina, USA.
Lovely dolls. Made with hearts full of love. Thank you being you. You both have loving hearts and I’m glad you decided to share your love and show all things can be remade if loved enough.
Hi you beautiful ladies. These dolls all look like friends who are so happy to be adored and loved by their creators and new family . You are both wonderful and unbelievably sensitive to all things lost and discarded. I feel so privileged to be able to tune into your videos and I adore watching you and being able to forget all my troubles and the worries of the world. Love you both, you are much loved!!!!!! THANK YOU XXX
Happy New Year to you all. I think this has to be one of my favorite videos. There is such a peaceful spirit that emanates from you both. The music and scenery you so thoughtfully choose, for each video, just further enhances the peacefulness and serenity you both possess. I thought dump baby was precious and he did appear to be a little happier at the dump. Maybe he was happy to be whole again, with renewed purpose. Fleur, how amazing to take a broken piece of a doll’s face and make something complete and restored. To me, this video, where you’ve both taken broken bits and bobs and found beauty in recreating useful objects, with renewed life and purpose is somewhat metaphorical of 2020. In a year where many people have experienced loss and sadness and have felt a sense of brokenness, there is still beauty and joy and a hope for renewal of purpose, in the new year. Not unlike the restoration you two have given the new dump baby family. As for suggesting a name for fancy doll, I would suggest Eliza. Like Eliza Doolittle, from My Fair Lady- to go from a plain Jane to extraordinary- so too has your fancy doll been given a second chance and has been reborn.
Thankyou for such a lovely year with you all. It’s made it a much better year knowing I could go on your journeys with you. I love your craft projects. I think the dolls are beautiful.
