Hello everyone, just wanted to clarify that obviously Yorkshire is in the North of England… I’m not sure what I was thinking, must have been too tired from the dress making Sorry again! Kate
If you were ever to see me, you would not think in a million years, that I would know about the Brontë sisters or be interested in dolls and such, but one of my all-time favorite stories is Wuthering Heights. And the original black and white movie still haunts me to this day. The fact that you lovely ladies took your doll making skills out to the Wiley windy Moores and commenced to starting that wonderful doll right out in such a historic and phenomenal setting is just FASCINATING! The use of the local Heather and ‘found’ doll parts just took me away to a home I’ve never seen. Oh, thank you so much for this! Just phenomenal! I just Love what you Ladies do!💎❤️💎
My ancestors lived in Haworth for many generations and are buried in All Saints churchyard , they were there the same time as The Brontës . Their father Rev. Patrick Brontë presided over many of their baptisms, marriages and burials and his signature appears on many of my families old church documents
You made a lovely little doll inspired by the Brontë family, very clever to dye and make her clothes. Yorkshire was quite a drive. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Thank you
Oh my goodness! You must know,I am often complimented on my reading voice, but Tom Burleigh’s voice is downright BBC-worthy!! A nice final touch to this peaceful video🥰
Howarth was on our doorstep thirty years ago and a place for weekend walks with our daughters. It's beautiful at Christmas time. Thank you for taking us there today. I feel a very strong urge to refinish your work table on occasion 💗
It was an extra special suprise and treat to hear Mr. Tom Burleighs beautiful voice reading so excellently after watching you 2 create that beautiful little doll, she came out so cute :) and her dress is lovely 🥰 the scenery was gorgeous and the heather was so beautiful, ❤️ thank you for sharing such a lovely experience 🤗
Thank You Lovelies, for this captivating share of the making of Bronte Heather. All her bits seemed uniquely appropriate, at the end of the day. ( : A suggestion for dying fabrics: Gather a variety of leaves, bark, nut shells, berries and flower petals to experiment with. Whether fresh or dry., should do the job. Tip: If you left the heather in the water only briefly, before placing the fabric into it, I feel it would have been more yellow, rather than beige. Tom Burleigh's voice can stir the soul, as well as soothe the savage beasts. Good choice for the reading, adding more complexity to your already wonderful video.
I have to admit that I had just a bit of worry about this poor lass in the beginning but she turned out lovely! I should never have doubted you girls! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
To make her more a "real" Bronte girl, could you use some skin colored paint on the rust spot on her face as well as giving her matching shoes? Please?? Very pretty dress indeed! Good job 🙂
I think the next doll may be a WONDERFUL favorite of mine Beatrix Potter. I do hope so. Oh you have no idea how you have raised my spirits with all your ideas and adventures. I love the little special touches you give to everything. I lovè the Brontes and I love Beatrix Potter so I hope it is her. The quick picture you showed reminded me of her home. I have never been there but always wished I could have gone. Enjoy every minute with each other. Lots of love from Diane in upstate New York. ♥️
Thank you, Tom, for reading Jane Eyre so beautifully. I could see little Jane in that window, separated from the vile Mrs. Reed but able to look out across the windswept moors. Perfect.
When I visited the parsonage, I was struck by how small Charlotte’s dress was, and the early very tiny writing was amazing. Imagine the staggering genius that lived in that house! Also, if Charlotte’s husband had not stepped in to preserve everything, we wouldn’t have anything to visit today.
loving the Bronte doll- her face cleaned up just enough to let her retain her history while adding to the inspiration for her. I think she will need a very comfy couch as well as a cuddly kitten as she sips her tea and reads.
Another delightful Lark lady..she is such a special combination of found treasures and your love and talent. Everyday with you two is extra special. What a beautiful location!!
I knew it was Tom! His voice is distinctly Victorian! What a joy. Two of my favorite youtubers compiling a wonderful video! Thank you. Her dress and making were just as a Bronte should be!
Perhaps the doll's house could be visited by Kumiko from Japan, who turns up in her kimono.....'Bronty's' beloved pen-pal from the far east...Beatrix's bunnies next?
I love your channels and the fact that you take broken bits and make beautiful dolls and furniture from them. I love the Bronte sisters and Jane Austen and could not wait for my granddaughter to be old enough to read them with her. I too try to save broken, dirty and damaged dolls and try to lovingly clean fix and repair what I can. But I absolutely love them imperfections and all. Saving bits and pieces of history is brilliant. Sadly I was born on the wrong side of the pond. England is beautiful and I love visiting there. Maybe one day having a little place of my own in the countryside. Getting to go mudlarking! Thank you for your channels and the great enjoyment you bring me.
Brontë is beautiful, she encapsulates everything perfectly. I’ve just come back from Yorkshire I stayed a few miles from Haworth and the Parsonage was top of my list. The area is so thick with history and the Parsonage was an emotional place to visit, thank you for a wonderful video. Always a pleasure to hear Tom reading 😌💛🧡🤎
Oh my miniature world! What a fantastic episode. They just keep getting better. I Your Brontë sister is absolutely beautiful. What a surprise to hear Tom Burleigh’s reading! Very fitting. 💕from Michigan, USA
💜🤗🐢 Thank you again for the very good history lesson and awesome footage of their house. It looked like many of the miniatures that everyone is building. Super cool 💛
Kate, the Brontë doll is lovely, no alterations needed, and the earthy dye color is perfect. Putting the little book at her feet was a stroke of brilliance. Your photography is wonderful Fleur, particularly that shot of the fields with Kate strolling in the distance. Beautiful.
I feel strongly that your Bronte doll ought to have the mark on her face painted out. I know their history is rather bleak, but I feel it would be an homage to make her more pretty. 🥰😍
One of your best videos yet. Gorgeous scenery and Kate was surely Cathy with her purple dress in that heather. The doll is perfect. Congrats on reaching 10k . I'm sure it will triple in no time x
What a beautiful place to visit! Thank you for taking us along! I think Bronte turned out beautifully! Oh Beatrix Potter maybe? Tom reading was the perfect ending to this perfect video! Congratulations on 10,000 subs xx
This is a beautiful film! Your Bronte doll is wonderful! You could make her into the heroine because she hides her strawberry birthmark with a veil, which makes her intriguing to suiters. Tom Burleigh, oooh what a fab voice. ❤❤❤
"...Heathcliff... it's me, I'm Cathy, I've come home, I'm so cooold, Let me in your window ohoohhh..." Absolutely LOVED this. Thank you both as always, xx Teresa 🇦🇺❤
Yeah, you are in my neck of the woods! I am so happy you got up to Yorkshire and visited Haworth, it really is a wonderful place. I think 'Bronte Lark' turned out lovely and I can guess where you went to do animal head dolls, another of my favourite places. Congratulations on 10k 😃💗 x Good to hear Tom 😀 x
I visited Haworth over 20 years ago and it looks the same. Beautiful scenery but a forlorn and harsh place to live, constant wind, green but isolated and I understand why they were all sickly. I give you proper credit for trying to do a doll on location! That is way out of the normal comfort zone of UA-cam. You guys really do like a challenge! Thank you for a great video and a beautiful trip in time.
Haworth in the time of the Brontës had one of the highest death rates in the country , the eventually found out that after rain the groundwater washed through the graves in the graveyard and made its way directly into the village drinking water
So befitting Tom reading the excerpt from the Bronte book. So enjoy listening to his voice and especially in this setting. Looking forward to next week video. Take care all of yourselves.
I love Haworth. Did you see the Apothecary, on the cobbled slope? I spent ages in there, absolutely thrilled with everything I saw...and the book shop further down the slope? 😍 Such a wonderful place. Well, I think Bronte is charming, you dressed her very well and she looks like she's strolled along the moors😊 if her face bothers you too much, you could always make her a bonnet with ribbons for ties and that will cover the sides of her face, either way, I think she's adorable.
The book how it was placed at the end of the Brontë doll making, Was definitely the final touch. Nice to hear Tom’s reading at the end. A magnificent video very well put together. Congratulations on your 10K 🙌
She's adorable. I think you had a great idea of calling her Heather, even though I know you ended up just calling her Bronte. Why can't she be Heather Bronte, a cousin visiting from Yorkshire? 😉 I really appreciate your dedication. You make videos even when you're on vacation. I know it's not the first time you've done that. It's very kind of you to interrupt your trip to take the time to share your experiences with us. Thank you! 🤗
You do your dolls so well from various parts. The leg with the flat sole is from about 1860. The other leg with the high heel is newer about 1890. The head is also 1860. In future if you have dried lavender. You can add some to a doll's stuffing.
Just a thought you can get color from pounding flowers between two pieces of cloth. It would make a lovely print fabric for you to use. I used a hammer and it was fun and beautiful Hugs Nola
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful Bronte doll 😍 she really does belong with you both and the moors. Haworth looks sooo lovely 😊 thank you for sharing this wonderful video, great to hear Tom's reading at the end. Also can't wait for the dollshouse study video 👌❤🥰
Hello everyone, just wanted to clarify that obviously Yorkshire is in the North of England… I’m not sure what I was thinking, must have been too tired from the dress making
Sorry again!
Kate
Thank you for a lovely video..stay safe..V.R..
Loved the dress, great job. Just curious why you didn't repaint her face to fix that dark spot.
I didn't even notice 🤣 too busy in awe 💛 x
Sweet Kate, we are all fallible. Thanks for another wonderful video.
We are all humans and we make mistakes, that is how we learn.
She's absolutely beautiful

I knew Tom was a good for reading but I didn't fall to sleep until the story was over. His voice is so smoothing to the ear.
You girls appeal to all of us who have never outgrown playing with dolls.
Poor little bride of Frankenstein made from all the broken and discarded bits and pieces of dolls long gone....... and put back together with love....
My ancestors lived in Haworth for many generations and are buried in All Saints churchyard , they were there the same time as The Brontës . Their father Rev. Patrick Brontë presided over many of their baptisms, marriages and burials and his signature appears on many of my families old church documents
How lovely paying homage to the Bronte sisters in miniature! Bronte is lovely. Thank you for all you do!
She looks like Tim Burton's Sally!! She is amazing!!! I would have done some stitches in black, just like Sally. I love her!
It would be so fun to watch you guys recreate a mini Bronte room!
You made a lovely little doll inspired by the Brontë family, very clever to dye and make her clothes. Yorkshire was quite a drive. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Thank you
She is absolutely beautiful....you are both so amazing....well done
Miss Bronte looks lovely and very much like her profile, good job you two
Please make the other two Bronte sisters ❤️
Sweet little doll . You were only a stones throw from where I live. You could have called for a cuppa. Maybe next time . 😊
Marigolds, walnut shells and other veggies and plants including tea dye fabric.
Ooh. Beatrice Potter's house next? Two bad mice - Hunca Munca and Tom Thumb come to vandalise the dolls house.
Oh my goodness!
You must know,I am often complimented on my reading voice, but Tom Burleigh’s voice is downright BBC-worthy!!
A nice final touch to this peaceful video🥰
I do believe Tom’s reading is his calling, he surely has a great calming voice 😊
Howarth was on our doorstep thirty years ago and a place for weekend walks with our daughters. It's beautiful at Christmas time. Thank you for taking us there today.

Perfect ! I loved every moment. Your voices sounded almost etherial, so beautiful. You are two very special people. Thank you, so lovely.
Everything about the doll came out perfectly. Every last detail is beautiful! Bronte sisters would love it.

Each doll needs to be unique.

I’m watching this on Halloween!!

She is just beautifully herself. Love her. Congratulations on your 10k mark. Here's to 10k more.

She is very wild and Kathy but she also reminds me of Mary Shelly.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing the video of your visit to the Brontë home!
Besides Jane Austen, Anne Brontë is one of my favorite authors. Your doll is precious! ❤️
I love it! My daughter is 16 and I wish we had the same relationship as both of you. Praying she comes around. 🥺
Parenting can be a thankless task at times, good luck.
