This was such a good video!! I didn't get enough of the actual comparisons as I was hoping for but your delivery was excellent and I was engaged from start to finish so I don't even care
Avid: Just spent 3 hours to install on MAC, (not compatible). Spent 4 hours to install on PC, now have trouble because "activated". I wish they can hire at least one software developer to fix it. Still in process...
It can be troublesome sometimes. Definitely worth it if you're working with a multiple editor team, but if it's predominantly a solo project I'd recommend Premiere
I wasn’t sure if I should keep making videos, I liked making this one but it felt a bit different from what I normally do. You think I should continue?
@@ProfessorTek Listen, the 1M subs channels have most probably 100+ videos guaranteed. Evan Carmichael started horrible and after 300 videos he's a legend. UA-cam is a long practice marathon. You are expected by the Algorithm to continue posting. However if you don't like making videos then don't, it isn't for you and you're wasting your time doing it.
Professor Tek Your right i am using Adobe and its so yeuse to use and it looks so great and the same for final cut i just think they don't care. They have to throw away there program its to late for them and make a new won
@Common Man AVID stock is down for 2020 there not friendly to use and i have tried avid several times its just not good. I am use to Adobe and Davince there and this programs are making it heard for avid to thrive i think in 5 year's avid is going to have a heard time to even be a pro grade editor.
I upvoted your comment because yes Avid is for professional editors. My day job is being a professional editor, working with various NLEs, DAWs and motion media focused applications. I'm Avid, Premiere and (although expired) FCPX certified. But I still stand that Avid needs to make drastic progress or its going to be overtaken by Adobe within the next decade
@@ProfessorTek Its not that Avid doesn't have all the tools to do what you need bought its that its doing it in a bad way. As soon as you get in to avid you have to make changes to your head in every other nles you go in and choose the seqwens you wont and that's not the case in avid its has to be so different and not user friendly and for the colouring part ow i just dont like its its not god. I think you understand what i mean when you luack at the market share it losing compared to Davince And Adobe. Won more thin i have never come a cross a UA-cam person that likes avid never.
I’ll just stick to windows movie maker 2004
The only way to fly
Great video!
Really appreciate it! :D

Thanks Elijah! I'll continue to improve and try to include more comparison while trying to keep it engaging. Super appreciate it :D
@@ProfessorTek you're amazing

Window Movie Maker > Final Cut Pro X
Avid is crap for video editors doing UA-cam Avid needs to throw away everything and make a new program every UA-cam editor thinks the same thing.
I think Avid could learn a thing or two from short form UA-cam content creators if they ever wanna appeal to them

Thanks, William Shatner...that...was...helpful...
Is that really the Mario 64 water level sound track? lol
Only the best editing music for talking about editing my good sir
This video was really informative, however I found the edits got rather distracting from what you were saying
Thanks for the feedback! I’ll try to make the edits more contrusive in the future. I hope to make learning about this entertaining for everyone 😄
Avid 🤪
It's great!
vegas
since final cut x, this software is a joke
I tried to make it through...better off sticking to the content and dropping the “entertainment” aspect.
hola :=
