What are the best strategies to protect my portfolio?, I've heard that a downturn will devastate the financial market, so I'm concerned about my $200k stock portfolio.
Is gold really worth it to buy ? In terms of the short term considering taxes and overall cost of upfront purchase then trying to resell when I actually need the liquidity, is physical or gold stocks more worth the cost ? Because it seems to be when people speak of gold their not being specific to the short term or Long term approach to justifying the purchase. Let me know your thoughts , thanks anyone
Only worth it for your long long term investment, short term a guaranteed loss. It's all manipulated and so is Mike bias on gold because that's his business. Always keep that in perspective.
Gold is often seen as a safe-haven asset that can protect against inflation and economic uncertainty. But like any investment, it carries risks. To determine if gold is the right investment option for you, an investment advisor can help you weigh the potential benefits and risks of investing in gold. They can also help you create a well-diversified portfolio that includes gold as part of a broader investment strategy. An investment advisor can help you decide how much of your portfolio should be allocated to gold and select other investments that can complement your gold holdings.

How much do mining companies (in Brazil) have to pay for an annual license/ permit to mechanically extract - get the gold out? Here in Australia, the Government reaps enormous amounts for the initial license, the ongoing taxes, and finally the environmental fees to close the mine and restore it as somewhat native bushland.
Good question. Brasil is not the most uncorrupt place in the world. I am sure there is plenty of under the table money that trades hands for protection and such as well as taxes and fees.
Much off it could be so low grade it doesn't make sense to mine. Some of these places don't make more than a few bucks a tonne profit and utilize outside money for equipment upgrades etc. On average, gravel mines are more profitable than a gold mine fyi.
That 15 million pant is probably a 50 to 100 million dollar processing plant in the US. And probably takes an extra 5-10 years to get approved. The weather is nicer. The people are awesome. I am sure there are a half dozen factors that half Parker excited to jump in.
Do they have to replenish the cyanide? How long does it last? What do they do with the spent cyanide? How much do they use every year? How much of it ends up in the surrounding environment? Is it detectable downstream or in groundwater? There's more to this than profit.
Thanks for continuing updates I'd rather trade the stock market as it's more profitable. I make an average of $34,500 per week even though I barely trade myself.
For Gold mining, it takes a lot of work to get it out of the ground. There’s earth on top of it called overburden they have to take the overburden off to get to the gold then they reach gravel and below the gravel is a pay dirt. Some people have a couple feet of overburden on their land while others, have hundreds of feet or hundreds of yards of dirt to move. The overburden is deep deep so to move all that to get the gold cost a lot of money because the equipment cost so much money. One piece of equipment can be $200-$500,000.even moreand that’s not even a great piece of equipment that’s used. Gas is expensive. It’s not cheap to be a gold minor. The land has to be drilled so they know where the gold veins are as well. That takes time and cost money. That’s why he needs a partner.
