The Turtle Island String Quartet: The Art of the Groove

Unconventional musical ensemble The Turtle Island String Quartet presents "The Art of the Groove," an engaging program that explores non-traditional repertoire and musical styles you would not expect to hear from violin, viola, and cello. Performances include "Jaco" by Pat Metheny, "Bill's Bounce" by Charlie Parker, "On Green Dolphin Street, popularized by Miles Davis, "Gypsy Eyes" by Jimi Hendrix, "Blue Rondo A La Turk" by Dave Brubeck, "Who Do You Think You Are?" by Tower of Power (recorded in 2000 at C. D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, VA).
