Jamie thank you very much for explaining where 'Baker Street' originated from I did not know. This really is an exciting most excellent way to learn and you are right in 3 mins as I have improved enough(embouchure and tonguing techniques in 2 yrs) to have been able to play most of all it before the video had ended so it was fairly easy & be it as it may, I have achieved just from this video alone. Thank you again for another great lesson! Love ya!
Hi Jamie I am playing sax at my grandsons wedding and Baker Street is one of my choices (I'm even singing the song as well). I never could finish it properly but now thanks to you it's in the bag. Many thanks. PS how many people get married and have their granddad playing sax at their wedding? I'm a bag of nerves but it will hopefully be OK and something he will never forget. Many thanks again top man and please keep up the fantastic work. Much respect
Magma Quarta - brilliant! Glad you enjoyed it. I try to make these hall of fame things the most accurate, and easy to follow on the internet. Spread the word and check out the other vids too! Don’t forget to subscribe etc!
@@magmaquarta6205 - Yeh, it's actually not straight forward getting high notes on sax as a lot of spade work has to go in first to get a great foundation. I'm doing a video soon on an overtones warm up that will help you though, and I'll certainly add that topic to my list! Thanks.
BattleKAT Sax - Kaden Andrew Thompson - awesome! Glad you’re lovin’ it. That’s why I do this content, for people like you to love it! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Get Your Sax Together always welcome brother. Hope ur feeling better. We have the advantage of super lungs. Can’t help but think this helps a little with this crappy virus thing.
Another great video Jamie well presented and again as a non music reader I can at least understand which notes to press. Cheer's and enjoy your coffees. Dougie
Thanks Jamie, I haved the horn part on this for years, can't wait to print it out and try it. Once I figure out where the high G is on my tenor I might even try that.
You're welcome! High G on tenor is front F key and side Bb. Go here to get my altissimo PDF which has all the fingerings www.getyoursaxtogether.com/altissimo
Love the video and downloaded the sheet music, but it doesn't include the fingering is there a way to get it in fingering format? Also I have seen sheet music with the notes printed in the note itself is there a name for that kind of easy to read sheet music?
Hey Jamie - How about you do a Top Twenty of famous, iconic pop sax solos by former members of NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra)? After all, having been in existence for more than 50 years, there must be loads of standout performances to choose from?....... and I'm sure that Bill Ashton will supply you with any extra info that you might require? Great channel by the way!! 🙂
@@GetYourSaxTogether - sorry I don't know those names..........can you help out with some song titles of big hits that they have played solos on? That would be very helpful Jamie? Many thanks. 🙂 ps. great work on your channel!!

Awesome! But, why not include the backing tracks at the end when you run through all of it? I think by doing this, you're showing the viewers/learners how and where the solo fits in and why the phrasing is so crucial.
Nick Danna - I never really thought about it at the time I suppose. I did that with the Cagney & Lacey video mind you. Too late to redo the video now. I have got the backing track somewhere. Maybe I’ll make it available to members when The tome is right to sort out my membership site. Thanks for watching! 👍🏻

I was hoping to see notes for Tenor as well. Anyway great video!
Shlomi Maman - yeh, it’s pretty hard on tenor, but if you go to the description you can click the link to get the PDF with the tenor music. 👍🏻

Mel B - not sure what you mean? Can you explain? 🙂
Sorry Jammie I was commenting on Raphael saying he thought the recording was 'flat' . I once read that he thought it was 'sharp' 👍
Nice video but it's Gerry not Jerry :)
Daniel Wagner - god! Typos! I’ll sort it out. Thanks for letting me know 👍🏻
I've corrected all the Jerry's to Gerry's, I think!! Apologies and thanks for the heads up!
