It brings tears to my eyes to hear these young folks do such a brilliant job resurrecting a song from my youth. Thank you.
Thank you :)))
I agree.
This video is really a brilliant montage .
So nice to see young people who appreciate the music of my youth. You can understand the lyrics, no profanity or violence. Just feeling the music.
Awesome job, Noah
Gerry was a friend of mine"way back" and I met him in a pub in London one night, and his words to me were "I've just recorded my pension - it's called Baker Street" - how true - and as a long time Gerry fan and friend, I think he'd be happy to endorse this version - just brilliant.
Thank you so much 😊
That's awesome... so glad you saw this! And I'm so glad to have seen your comment... simply amazing song. Props to Gerry, may he rest in peace.
And...for what it's worth (quite a lot, actually) Jerry prob didn't mind Quentin Tarantino (and other artists over the years) using 'Stuck in the Middle With You' in his Res. Dogs movie, which earned Jerry and former bandmate, Joe Eagan, royalty money, though it seems Jerry had final control of who/how the song was used. Yep - $80,000 a year royalties for Baker Street alone. Sweet! Not bloody rich as hell but I could make a nice comfortable middle-class living over here in Missouri with $80k yearly coming into my mailbox and NO freakin' snooty bosses to report to! ;-)
Awesome...
Awesome version of an awesome song. Like many super-creative people, Gerry was haunted by bipolar according to his daughter. Alcohol was his self-medication.. and it eventually killed him. RIP, Gerry.
I am 67 years old, I fell in love with this song when it came out, I played it wit my friends so many times. You guys are awesome. I am so happy I found you. Good music will never die!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it!!!
I’m 66……exactly the same for me
I'm 67 and remember it so well
thank you! amazing job!!
I'm 73
I’m a 56 year old American guy.
Im crying right now. You kids grabbed onto my soul with this. So great. Thanks for the faithful rendition. You nailed it. ❤
Me too😪😪😪
Me too man! Awesome just don’t do these kids justice! Every time I watch it, nothing but cold chills the entire song!!!!!!
If you don’t feel that, you ain’t human!!!!
I'm 72 and I could feel it just like I did back in the day... Great rendition. Be proud. 👍😎
Same here. I wiped away a tear or two. Just sensational.
I'm 58 and I ALSO cried ! fantastic and keep it up kids !
It really thrills my heart to see such great, young musicians (and multi instrumentalists at that) take up such iconic music from the past. These people are music's future.
Thank you so much :))
I could not agree more 🌴
I couldn't have put it better myself. Great vocals Noah. Never heard you or knew of you until this collaboration. I'm going to check out some of your other content.
better than the original. Sensational. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

I am glad to see somebody is keeping Gerry Rafferty and the band's music alive. It was a hard pill to swallow that Gerry had passed away. Such an incredible musician and writer. He had so many fantastic musicians and technicians surrounding him. To see another generation pick up his ball and run with Gerry's music is awesome. Great job!! Keep it up.
Thank you so much 😊✌️
Out standing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have loved this song for decades. Well done all of you. Standing ovation from me.
Gerry himself would most definitely approve.
Thank you very much David 😉
Steven said it best. Us old guys will be gone soon...but you young folks will help the next generation's excursion down Baker Street...
I'm 57 years old, I live in the US. I remember when this song first came out as a kid. You guys absolutely nailed it! I feel the same feeling as I did when I was younger. That same feeling of refreshing music that just gives me goosebumps. Thank you!
I’m 58 and grew up as a kid in the 70’s and this song was and always will be a nostalgic gift. I played drums and guitar, never made it a profession but I can tell you that this cover, if ever Rafferty and his band wanted to re-record an updated version; this would be it. Most bands kill songs for changing or leaving out precious intricacies, but you guys nailed it, seriously nailed it all…a musician’s dream - truly bravo and thank you 🙏 keep it up! This world has hope just yet!! ❤️ subscribed!
Thank you so much!
Impressive. You guys left nothing out.
None of you were born when this song first came out in 1978 and captivated all of us with its elegant charm. Yet you honour the song with such a brilliant rendition. I am in awe of your astonishing talent. Bravo!
Thank you so much 🤗🤗
You can hear the bass in the original, though. I think it plays a big part in the atmosphere, the warmth of the song, so why they drop it out of the landscape so completely in the mix is beyond me. It's the same with most of these studio recordings.
1977
@@withnail70 Maybe they changed the soundtrack in the meantime, but for me the bass is clearly audible. Not dominant, but perfectly fine - a distinctive voice of its own.
@@bernardwong7968recorded in '77, released in Feb '78.
This is hands down THE BEST cover of this song. Brilliantly played and produced. Gerry will be smiling down from heaven with delight at your classic rendition of his most amazing song. You got everything spot on. Thank you.
Thank you so much :))
Well done!! 🎉
It’s awesome to see young people covering the songs of my youth so perfectly.
Thank you very much :)))
10 out of 10...young performers who make it look easy...you do justice to the original...whose sounds were a pulse of our lives back then...and again now.Thank you all.
Good job!
That saxophone part still sends shivers down my spine (and I was around when the song was new).
Thank you so much 😊🔆
I got those shivers too listening to this awesome performance!
Definitely best cover EVER!
I was too! This actually sounds very good!
AGREED 👍
One of the greatest songs ever made. Thanks to a younger generation for keeping it alive.
The UA-cam rabbit hole brought me here. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
Wow!!! The closest so far I've heard of Baker street since the summer of 1978! Great year. Great music. Great country, great time to be alive. You guys are extremely talented. Mr. Rafferty would be proud and honored. Almost identical to the original 1978 mega hit. I know, i was there like 10's of millions alive then and now. Good luck to you all in all you achieve in your lives. Memories of an America so different in many ways.
Thank you so much!
@@NoahBenedikt You are welcome because it's the truth. Beautiful blond long hair blue eyes will certainly help you. Take care of yourself, exercise, eat good real food and drinks. Take your vitamins and say your prayers. You will be playing music for next 100 years. How about Time Passages by Al Stewart?, another 1978 mega hit. Or Nicolette Larson's mega hit Lotta Love, another late 1978 mega hit. I know I'm pushing it. Keep it up, don't stop. Love it and you. Wish you were my son.
EVERY BABY BOOMER SHOULD BE PROUD OF THESE MUSICIANS.
THEY DID THE SONG JUSTICE.
JUST LIKE WE REMEMBER GROWING UP.
FANTASTIC JOB.
THIS IS HOW ITS DONE. OTHER MUSICIANS OUT THERE TAKE NOTICE.
NOTICE HOW THE VOCALIST DID NOT DO A 1001 RUNS BUT STAYED TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL.
NOTICE HOW EVERY MEMBER STAYED TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL.
IMPRESSIVE.

As The Who sand, "The Kids are Alright!" I don't worry so much about our future when I see such talent in a younger generation.
You saved my typing a reply… my thoughts exactly. I graduated in 77 and I remember thinking that a guitar solo that could be this melodic, this coherent, and this artistically consistent with the rest of the song, YET still absolutely kick ASS, was uncommon enough that it shouldn’t be taken for granted, and that I should start noticing it more, and sooner.
@@thatfeeble-mindedboy
I think you've said it quite well.
I LOVE seeing kids just freakin' NAIL this!!
Like few too many I feel pretty great about this young generation.
Rock on! 🤘😎🤘
🤘🤘🤘
Young Yes Kids No😀
So many great comments here. Gives old timers hope for the future to hear young people play such excellent music from the past. These kids are great.
The ease with which you produce the saxophone intonations is a clear indication of natural musical talent. But of course you already know that.
Killer. You nailed the haunting beauty of this classic. Hope to hear more from you. Well done.
Thank you very much 😊😊
Stunning performance of a rock classic from artists well ahead of their years in music.
Thank you!!!
Awesome song and you did it fantastically. So talented each musician. Thanks🎉
Thank you :)
Gerry Rafferty was a demanding and very articulate musician. You have a great cover here, Gerry would be proud.
Thank you sooo much 🤗
Now look at that, young people today appreciate music of the past, that says a lot.
My GOD....what artists....hot damn chang....you are such a treat Noah !
OMG !!!!!! AWESOME.... I discovered this song way back when I went to Europe for the first time...and it was in ... LONDON TOWN!!! So many souvenirs... so many feelings...THANK YOU... you warmed my heart ... greetings from Monterrey Mexico
Perfect cover of this classic song by three excellent young musicians. The iconic sax solo of Raphael Ravenscroft was perfectly recreated as were all the instrumental parts. Bravo.
Thank you so much!!!
Agreed. I did a double eyebrow raise hearing that sax work for first time. Absolutely nailed it 👌
Thank you so much :)
this song a so good and an awesome collab with Sina, Cara and Mike !!! oooh i just love the sax!!!! can’t wait for our collab Noah!

All smiles seeing this ...thank you ALL 👍
Absolutely brilliant cover of a classic song from my youth, 50 years ago! Certainly the most "authentic" cover of ANY song I have ever heard. Most "covers" sit really uncomfortably between being authentic or being an "new interpretation", even when being done by the original artist. You guys nailed it! I doubt if many people listening would know you weren't the original recording.
Thank you so much!
Are you kidding me??? This cover is scary good. It's actually scary excellent. You did a phenomenal job. I'm in awe. Thank you for this.
Thank you so much ☺️
Hand toms and that SAX !!
WOW 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤
What can i say? I'm absolutely blown away. You young folks just KILLED it! Here are some things I noticed.
I never realized how complex the bass part was until I saw this video. Bass player had it nailed.
Also, I'm not a drummer but it does my heart good to see a drummer using a traditional grip. It let's me know that this young lady wasn't self taught. I've played in bands all my life and I hate playing with self taught drummers. They're so arrogant and think they know so much when in reality, they don't know squat. I'm not saying that all drummers that use a matched grip are self taught but it's just about a safe bet that any drummer that uses a traditional grip is not going to have a fully blown out of proportion ego.
The bongos were not very loud but WOW, I could not only hear them, I could definitely feel them. That was a nice touch.
You covered the synthesizer part with a block flute? (recorder?) I would have never thought of that. I love the saxophone's riffs at the end of the song. I was wondering how you folks were going to end it.
Anyway! Fantastic job all around.
Sina's touch on drums is second to none. Incredible gift. It's just perfection.
She sounds great but I wonder why she keeps changing from jeans to shorts and back again? Looks like it took several tries tie put this together.
@@billnewell7786 No change at all, it look like but it's the studio light.
Sins,Sina,Sina......
Did you hear these saxophon, did you hear these guitar-solo?Do you only follow Sina? Don't you know the art of the others?
That’s the sound of a dream team !!
💪 🤗
My thought exactly Mr. Schick!
@@NoahBenedikt ...Mrs C insists that the dream team are Liverpool FC.? ...on the other hand as a Tranmere Rovers fan..I might beg to differ...Jurgen Klopp has not been returning my calls..

That knocked it out of the park👏🙌!!! Excellent performance 🎭!!! Very well done 👏!!
Omg are you kidding me? SO AWESOME!!! I'm super picky with covers, especially when vocals are involved. This here knocked it out of the park. Excellent job, so very well done.

I just love the FACT that you young folks are playing REAL music with REAL instruments. I'm thankful that you're showing the world your stuff and its great stuff to top all it off. its hard to believe that only three guys created such a perfect cover version!! ITS PERFECT!!!! 👌
Thank you so much!
This is as close to the original as I've ever heard covered. In the '70s + '80s I saw loads of cover bands at bars and I've never seen better because these cats are fuckin beautiful + awesome. This is a song that I've been listening to since it came out. I pull it out every month/ couple months - now I'm good for a couple weeks.
I had the privilege to hear Gerry Rafferty perform this piece live many years ago. As I closed my eyes listening to your cover, I was transported back in time. It was an incredible cover of a very difficult song. The greatness of Baker Street is the mutually supported parts and how they complement each other. You all managed to pull it off flawlessly. My complements.
Im almost 62 yrs old so i certainly remember this song in its original incarnation. This cover is so perfect and so beautiful that im at this moment rendered speechless. Ive been a hobbyist guitarist and singer on and off for more than 50 yrs ( and primarily an attorney by profession) and im just consistently awestruck that Sina and her mega -talented young friends and schoolmates love and honor the same music that I love too.
God bless all of you. Thanks for another wonderful video 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤🎼🎵🎵🎶🎵🎙🎸🥁🎹
Is this something you played back then David? You mentioned your passion & desire to enjoy your music is pre-empted by health issues... if you can’t tackle this song now you certainly have the Best right here to enjoy 😊 🌴
@@nancyslider645 nice to hear from you again Nancy. This song was a big FM radio hit back then in the mid 70s .i certainly enjoyed listening it . However , then and now it was /is way way way outside of my skill level. its analogous to a Steely Dan song. Im just amazed/ surprised that a bunch of European kids- musicians are aware of it......
@@daviddemar8749 Yes- Steely Dan! We raised our boys with the music we loved, and clearly so did Mike & Mrs D. .... I’m guessing Noah’s & Chiara’s family also. Pretty cool. Wishing you a lovely weekend 🌴
@@nancyslider645
TY same to you .fyi when I was a teenager and young adult I just didn't
didn't like steely Dan because my music palette wasn't broad enough or mature enough. Many decades later not surprisingly my tastes have changed. If these kids are all music students at ArtEZ like Sina then they have experienced more diverse and complex music from the inside and through their ears as univerity level players and students.. my taste matured a little bit in college because Columbia required a music history class. I breathed classical music for a whole semester! Another step occurred when i "borrowed" a lot of my parents' jazz LPs and took them with me when i went away to law school.
Kudos to both of you....off to get my Bodrhan off my parlour wall...even getting the penny whistles out too..peace and love from the wirral peninsula.E.
I have just come across this cover and was gobsmacked at just how good it was.If i didnt know better and was just listening i truely would have thought it was Gerry Raffety
Outstanding job by all.
For 70 years, I have hated the saxaphone noise with 1 very specific exception being Gery's Baker street.
Don't know why.
"Baker street" is fantastic, beyond most but why I hate the sax I don't know.
Absolute credit to this sax player, if I had a 24 hour loop of that gorgeous sound, I could listen to it forever.
Well done Sina & all involved.
Great.
I love this song. Brings me back to my youth. Thanks for the memory. Take care.
Oh my! I am hearing a younger Gerry Rafferty! You guys are truly amazing. This is like a copy-paste because you nailed all the details.
Yes ...you are...brill...
I totally agree with Leon. Very, very well done!!!
Copy Paste except the ending, I felt you gave it your own little touch and very well done.
Nicely done: all of you.
It took me back to my teenage years. Living in London.

It's great to see the new generation bring back the older generation music. Excellent job to all of you.
All of you are exceptional musicians and you paid tribute to a great song at a very high level.
HOT DAMN! When this was released in ‘78 it reached No.2 and stayed there for almost two months. I was seven years old in ‘78 but this song always spoke to me. One thing that I remember very clearly from the summer of ‘78 was driving to the Jersey shore with my family and getting excited when the song came on and it was the “normal” 6:02 version. Radio stations would often play edited versions of songs and this one was no exception. I was so used to hearing the 4:03 version that the original seemed epic in scope. I even remember after 44 years exactly where we were when it came on the radio. I guess what I’m trying to say is this song means a great deal to me and it does my heart well to see it handled with such care. Like I said, HOT DAMN! You all did an amazing job and absolutely NAILED IT!
Thank you so much 🤗😊
I am almost 70 and THIS song came out in the late 1970's. I was living in Okinawa with my then Marine husband. It was my favorite song. So impressed and glad to see these young people take a classic like Baker Street, give a tremendous performance and also give the song some recognition again. WOW. I think young folks are going back and finding there are some treasures in these old classics.
Thank you so much :)))
You all NAILED IT. This song has a very special memory from 1978 and a crazy cycle trip to the shore. Hello Sina.
Holy crap! I had non-stop goose bumps from 0:02 - 1:00. The flute, the saxophone.... Mesmerizing!
This is AWESOME. As a BIG fan of Gerry Rafferty's original -- EXCELLENT cover!
Thank you very much 🤗
@road of snooker finals why say anything negative just take it for what it is, a great piece of music.
This is amazing. Thank you. Coming from a raging metalhead.
You won't hear better than this
I got chills listening to this song! It came out when I was in my early twenties. And my best friend and I were young & dumb and partied way too much. We finally "settled down" when we turned 30. Both got married and both had 2 sons. And we bought some land, in a quiet little town. He unfortunately passed away from a heart attack at work 12 years ago. Your performance was perfect in every aspect! Thank you so extremely much!!!

Noah, Sina and Chiapas rock it out. Very talented trio and a great rendition of Baker Street.
I'm impressed to see young folks like you attempting this song. Society has been dumbed down so much over the decades since this song came out, I'm surprised your generation can even appreciate this music. It's certainly a song for intelligent people by intelligent people, not for idiots.
This is white soul at its finest. Everybody’s all-in. This song is so well-made that it never wears out and Cara’s solo towards the end is just awesome. The ending itself is a very pleasant surprise and quite creative.
Amazing talent, Sinna is one of the best drummers I’ve heard and being so young. The Sax player a bad ass without a doubt and the young lady playing guitar was a joy to watch. The singing was perfect loved everything. Thank you for keeping
