Anytime I see a city that really looks like it belongs in a story or a movie, it's just too beautiful... And it's obviously full of Christmas lights that seem to glow at night!😲 I'm sure the city is beautiful at night too! I've recently started taking videos of only at night! I'm not very good at taking pictures in the dark, so I'm struggling, but I'm starting to find a way to take beautiful videos. Obviously, Christmas lights look better in this city than in Japan, but I want to take as many beautiful videos as I can of Japan too 🤣

@@WalkingSpain It's pretty much the same as last year and this year due to Corona, the Christmas lights have been cancelled or reduced in scale 😥 The necessary parts of the city are lit up, but around the smaller local stations, it's all dark! 🤣 Still, I'll try to find a place with beautiful Christmas lights and shoot some video!

Another beautiful video. I watched this one with my Sunday dinner. 🙂 It's nice to see the Christmas decorations going up, and the big Christmas tree 🎄 in the square is really beautiful. Must look spectacular when it's lit up! What a perfect place to put the big tree. The park at the beginning is amazing. I really liked how this video was recorded after a bit of rain. The wet yellow leaves on the green grass - so nice. Autumn is my favorite season. The walk through the park reminded me a bit of Boston's parks during that time of year. The architecture is fantastic. And as always - the churches and cathedrals. Very beautiful. It was really interesting how that building 28:34 seems to be a new, modern structure on the inside, and they kept the original old structure on the outside. In Boston, they did something similar where they kept the facade of an old historic building, but built a new glass skyscraper on top of it and integrated the two together. 👍 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

Oviedo is one of those cities where the rain seems to enhance its beauty. In my opinion, the effect of water on the ground after the rain makes it look more beautiful. The architecture is fantastic. And as always - the churches and cathedrals. Very beautiful. It was really interesting how that building 28:34 seems to be a new, modern structure on the inside, and they kept the original old structure on the outside. In Boston, they did something similar where they kept the facade of an old historic building, but built a new glass skyscraper on top of it and integrated the two together. 👍

My trip to Oviedo coincided with the preparation of the Christmas decorations. On the one hand I was lucky because I witnessed how they adorned the city, although on the other hand, I could not enjoy the Christmas lights. As you say, it must look spectacular.
North of Spain at this time of year is very rainy, it was practically raining during my entire stay there. I took advantage of the time without rain to film this tour. Oviedo is one of those cities where the rain seems to enhance its beauty. In my opinion, the effect of water on the ground after the rain makes it look more beautiful. I agree with you, I really like to walk through forests or parks in autumn, everything looks more beautiful with the fallen leaves of the trees.
I am glad that you liked the cathedral, unfortunately I could not enter inside it on this tour as I do on other occasions because entrance is not free due it also houses a museum.
Regarding old buildings with modern elements, it is something that is very interesting to me. In Spain we have many examples of this type of construction, some of them look horrible and others look spectacular. In this case, I think it looks great.
What you say is one of the reasons why I really like cities like Boston or New York. Historic buildings are combined with large skyscrapers, even as you say they take the opportunity to integrate both buildings. I love that contrast. In Spain (even in Europe) it is very rare to find.
