this video is really a documentary quality!
This was so fascinating and informative. I have no formal art education, so being able to put terms to the styles I want to emulate in my own art is so helpful. I gotta say though, I hate our current design timeline. I am not a fan of the flat design. It feels lifeless. Least we have the emergance of "cores" and people bringing back and playing with style from other eras.

At 1:19 you say something like, “unnecessary adornment makes a lot of these designs really good looking but not for so much more than adorn.” I don’t understand the second half of that sentence. Would you explain please?
