    That was dope!
I don't really care too much for the "touching" in battle. but Krow had some insane control and added a mindgame type of skill.

Hey Metal... I peeped something in this video where after the chain broke off, how Krow reacted... it's like his personality for incident took a complete 180 which made it clear to me that they "hostility" is just the battle mentality. Maybe Shadow knew that which is he didn't make a fuss of it in any way, shape nor form. But for me persona, that lil bit was interesting to see. It changed my whole perspective on the touching for the rest of that battle.

I'll say this on the chain issue... Normally when it comes to All styles event or events like these, where opposing style collide with each other it's important to find a middle ground. Usually this means no touching. It's not to handicap anyone, but is to avoid BS, but most importantly to not disrespect each others culture. Even if that wasn't the intention. But in the end Shaadow handle it well

There's a really interesting documentary created by Moudzy on Shaadow where you can learn more of his approach in dance. It's really fascinating !
He has like 9 + Dance personalities with names and such, each with their own attributes.
It could inspire some of you peeps, really good doc :

That s clearly shows the difference between, hip hop in Europe and the American scene. European hip hop got that bounce, groove and foundations, American style is more about a bunch of movement thrown on the beat without consistency but aiming to beat kill.
I enjoy more someone consistently on the beat and flowing throughout rather than Someone doing crazy stuff but not connected to each other and try to have a beat kill moment.
Plus is don’t respect at all that being so phisical, aggressivity is fine is a battle but when became so phisical it makes no sense, if you want to dance we dance, if we want to fight we fight 🤷🏻‍♂️

One question, is it disrespect to be so close to the enemy all time and "touch" him etc?

He was winning a lot of hip hop battles a few years ago with Paradox (who's now a big name in the freestyle scene)
They both were one of the very few duo who could beat Criminalz crew (les twins, Waydi,Rochka..)in battles at the time.
Shaadow doesn't battle as much anymore because he's teaching the younger generations of UK.
He was the teacher of Evion, who's now pretty popular and considered to be one of the best younger freestylers.

@@DKYtut see this is an answer that makes sense lol I haven’t seen him much, He kinda came out of nowhere. But the few battles I have seen I just haven’t seen anything super special compared to anyone else. He’s very good obviously, I just kinda wouldn’t have expected him to be all blown up. But that makes sense

Shadow has way better rounds (in other battles) and is a better actual dancer plus Krow was way too hostile, I mean that chain snatch could have easily started a fight. All that said, Krow had more memorable rounds so I have to give it to him. I hate this BattleFest type music where it's like an endless wind up of war drums. It's good for routines but trash for actual freestyle.

    • @TedjiroKamado

flex music is good for the flex culture and pretty much them only. and the have calmer flex tracks that are more open genre as far as dancing goes but the aggressive tracks are for the most part tailor made to the flex culture. no bs the only other style i can see kinda getting away with a flex track is jookin.
