Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro | Machame Route 2022

- In September 2022, I ticked an incredible challenge off my bucket list and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. It was the most amazing experience and I'm so grateful for everyone who supported me throughout my fundraising to get there. We took the 6 day Machame Route and went with Zara Tours who I cannot fault and made the experience so memorable!
It was definitely one of the most challenging things I have ever put myself through, both mentally and physically, but it was 100% worth it!
If anyone has any questions about this challenge please comment below and I'll answer them in a video soon.

What was the temperature during summit attack? I am planning in Sep 2023
I’m not exactly sure but it was definitely the coldest I’ve ever experienced!! I was wearing 2 pairs of socks and had hand warmers in my gloves and I was frozen

If you are physically fit, machame route will be doable. For me I was 21 at the time, I did no training at all... I walk a lot for my work but also don't exercise apart from it... I am however quite skinny&tall which might have helpen but don't worry to much you'll get there. This route isn't physical, it's mental, especially summit night. Little tip, go in April, weather is fine, prices are half, and almost no people on the mountain... I'm disgusted by Al the ques of people I see in this video... Makes me feel like such an NPC tourist.

I went with choose a challenge (wouldn’t recommend) but we did the actual climb with Zara Tours who were incredible!
