    One idea; write down the drills that you devise so that you can easily find them. Or, like me, record them on your phone. This way when you get an idea for a drill (say you are at a tournament), you can assign it immediately to your robot list.

    Thank you so much for your coaching. The problem is how to set the speed and the spin for different levels. Again thank you. 🙏

    Very well explained. I like a drill where I set the robot for medium push to the forehand then one medium push to the backhand. I start with practicing my push and mixing up the spin I put on the them. The using the same setting, I loop one side and continue to push the other side. I finish with looping both sides then I collapse from exhaustion and roll into a fetal position.

    one question. i would think you. would want to strive to get back into body neutral, ready position between shots to make hitting w the robot just a tiny bit more realistic and helpful (working on getting into and out of ready position faster, with faster movement)

    • @tabletenniswithcoachyoku9538
      @tabletenniswithcoachyoku9538  2 роки тому

      Yes Steve, I think one of the difficulty of the robot setting for serve and receive idea is timing of the shots. You can time it only in for certain speed, so if I wanted to wait longer to get into ready position, I would have to slow down for every shot that comes out of robot. So I focused more on the push and stepping out to backhand loop. Otherwise i have to push stop button after every two shots. I hope that makes sense.

    I did not know anything about what was best table thickness and bought a 13mm Joola indoor table. Know I now a thicker table would be better for training, but it's too late. My Amicus Prime arrived yesterday and I am studying how to install it and use it optimally. Do you think the 13mm table will be okay or will it be a significant handicap because it's too thin. I plan to take private lessons at a table tennis school to learn correct form

    Hi Youku ! Thank you for sharing your training prog. Question: I have an Amicus Prime (digital ctrl) and I find that that no matter how much I try I cannot get the settings to a realistic speed&bounce. I have a chance to train with a high level Bundesliga player in Austria who sends me high quality balls (low throw and long on the table). With the robot I can only get high bouncing in the middle of the table. If I increase the spin (near the end of the ctrl) it's not possible to control it and/or the ball flies out of the table (WTH !) and if I increase the speed to max the ball is not that fast ! I am becoming suicidal ...😅
    Note: No idea how you get all the balls from around the room hehehe I go nuts in my basement !

    what is the model of your killerspin table? do you recommend it?

    • @tabletenniswithcoachyoku9538
      @tabletenniswithcoachyoku9538  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Andre, I bought my table from the club. My table is 25 mm thickness and it is pretty good. I could not find on killerspin website same model. I would recommend to go for a table that has more than 19- mm thickness or higher. This will help to have even and higher bounce and it is close to competition level table feeling. I saw on megaspin.org some joola table on sale and it is decent one too. One of my students bought it and I think it is pretty good. Here is the link if you are interested : www.megaspin.net/store/default.asp?pid=j-tour-2500&aid=yoku

    Nicely done! Thank you! Happy New Year!! About Robots - do you recommend going for Butterfly Amicus Prime or any of lower priced ones are still fine. Basically trying to understand if Butterfly Amicus Prime is worth a high price premium?

    • @tabletenniswithcoachyoku9538
      @tabletenniswithcoachyoku9538  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Happy New Year to you as well! If you want to start from decent lower price robot i would recommend to go with newgy robopong 2055. It is pretty good to start with, it just can not do serve and follow up ball after. It can do just serve. You can not program with it more complicated advanced drills. But it shoots the ball pretty accurate to the spot that you want it generates pretty good spin. I think amicus for intermediate and advanced players robot. You can program more advanced drills with it. I like the button control system of it, and you can pretty much program whatever drill you want. Amicus has 3 wheels that does pretty good job of adding variety of spin, it just shoots the ball different than newgy but you can get used to it. It is a good long term robot if you decide to train for a while. I hope it was helpful!

    Hi Coach Yoku, I just purchased and set up Amicus but the ball is very easy to hit net or even too low to go over the net no matter what I adjusted the head height. Can you please help?

    • @pengasus
      @pengasus 2 роки тому

      Hi Tim. Not sure if you fixed the problem but the head is supposed to be right above the line. As in line should be visible but there shouldn't be any space between the line and the barrel(black pipe invisible). Then run the calibration. Also check that your roller's are clean. Plastic builds up over time on the rollers and they need to be cleaned regularly. I hope it helps
